Hey, Andrew, my mother used to watch your videos a lot, but she died from covid a year ago. She was working very hard trying to get better at drawing and painting. I have a lot of good memories of her watching your videos, thanks for inspiring her and keeping her company with your videos.
May she rest in heaven.
That is really nice.. ur mother was doing that thing she liked to do just before of her death and also tried to get better even at that age, it is fortunate enough.
My condolences for your loss. May she rest in peace.
God bless your heart! I hate to hear the loss of your mother. There's nobody like Mom. God bless you.
Nice work. This is something every novice painter should start with. I did a bowl of eggs and was so amazed how hard that was.And it's always nice to see your videos but it's even more nice to hear that you take your time being a father.
Andrew, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I have done a couple of still life paintings and can completely concur with how challenging they can be. One of them included sliced oranges, limes, and a clear glass vase with a flower and distorted reflections of stems in the water. When I'd put the paint down, I thought it looked ridiculous but I had to keep telling myself to just paint what I see in the reference no matter how ridiculous it seemed and, to my extreme joy - and self-doubt - it turn out beautifully. I mistakenly thought it would be an easy painting but to my surprise, it challenged me well beyond any other piece I'd created. But, I m so very glad I pushed through it because it was a huge learning process and I grew immensely in my creative journey. I'm so happy to see you back! Family always comes first and I'm so happy that you are taking the time to be a dad to your son. Thank you for being the amazing teacher you are.
Hey Dad no worries. Painters know about waiting. It’s the essential part of the process. Good to hear the good news!
I love how your put the camera so close up. And so delicate. I can see exactly what you do,, you are a great artist and teacher..
As a father of young one I know just how difficult (and frustrating) it is to find both the time and the mindset to paint. Well done for juggling both jobs Andrew!
Video on glazings…YESS 👍☺️ Thank you so much for sharing
Fascinating work I always suggest people interested in learning to paint to watch you in the beginning!
Thanks Clyde! Much appreciated!
Ide tell them to watch Andrew at the beginning, middle, AND end of their careers lol what for? Cuz he's just plain awesome! Incredible teacher, realist painter, family guy, vid producer, great sense of humor, podcast host, and we started diving into the Lord around the same time!(probably my favorite part of Andrew) Love the unique still lifes/aerials you've been making lately, God Bless my brother!
Ah God bless you brother, Derrick! Thanks so much for that comment mate! 🙏
A nice One. The Egg is propably one of the most beautiful natural Shapes.
Yes! I have been missing you. Blessings❤️
Hi Andrew, thank you very much. Great job, and the commissioned painting you showed is excellent! I love landscape paintings ! - You are not only an outstanding painter, but also one of the best teachers. What I also find pleasing is that you are exceedingly welcoming to your viewers and it is obvious that you mean it. I know I'm not the only one who has missed you here, but there are things that go on, and one has to understand that. - Thanks again, and have a pleasant weekend with your family. 👋🧡
Great work as usual! Enjoy being a dad. The time goes by so quickly. A special gift from God!!
WELCOME BACK DEAR GREAT SO GENIUS PAINTER...
I'm always looking forward to the videos being uploaded.
I have seen and studied many times. Thank you very much.
Another great video. Andrew, I don't know how you are able to do so much with your limited time: UA-cam video demonstrations, Patreon demonstrations, your own paintings and commissions, podcasts, being a husband and dad. Are you able to ever have time to sleep? You are one amazing artist, teacher, and person. Thank you so much for all that you do.
What a wonderful eggxercise
Please, more still life! it was a joy to watch and very motivating. Thank you
Congrats on being a dad! Best thing. Thanks for your videos they are top notch.

Thanks for these videos Andrew, I know from my own experience the complications of making a video while painting, and then doing the editing, great content.

Love all your videos. Thanks
You share such clear and practical info Andrew. Thank you🤗💖
Always a great exercise Andrew and probably a great one for all Artists and students as there is so much in the subtleties of light, values and tones, reminds me a great deal of the old traditional dutch painters who did amazing bowls and fruit and bread. Love it mate.
Always a pleasure to watch you paint, I have learned so much from your videos. I always tell folks that I meet that are interested in becoming a better painter to watch you.
Great to see another video, Andrew. I like the idea of kickstarting and refining some techniques w still life before tackling portraits, landscape, etc. Great to hear that you're having fun as a new dad... the best and most important creation that you'll ever be part of. I really liked that drawing of your newborn son fr your earlier video; it really brought across the sense of awe and wonder (as well as being so tender). Cheers!
Good to see you back Andrew and congratulations on being a dad! 🎉
Great work again Andrew really enjoyed it thank you.

Congrats on being a dad! Will we see some baby portraits soon?? Love the simplicity on this one, yet it has most of the ingredients, like you said, to improve any other more complicated subject.
Great work 😊 Also love the waterfall in the end of the video WOW... ASTONISHING...
you are truly an extraordinary TALENTED one ,,,,love the DEEP details,,,it's as if I could touch the eggs and feel them with my fingers,,,want to learn more from you,,,the UNIVERSE is lucky to have you on this earth,,,beautiful

Great to have you back and congratulations on the new member of the family. I met your friend Sue in the Reefton Gallery recently and she’s encouraged me to sign up to your patreon. Really looking forward to seeing your videos on there… and I’ve just built my wall easel in my studio.
Great video as always! Congrats on your new little one! 🐣

Awesome! Thank you!
It’s always a great pleasure to watch your videos. This is a huge source of motivation for me. I love your work and I learn a lot from your demonstrations. I am a pastel artist and I take my first steps in oil drawing inspiration not only from your technics but also from your desire to always do better. Thank you from Montreal, Canada 😊
Wow, thank you!
Finally a new video after a long gap of 3 months!
A great video Andrew. I'm really looking fwd to the videos you mentioned for the future. No apologies needed. Family always comes first.
Love these videos! Can’t wait for the course
Glad you like them!
Another Very useful video, and im waiting for the next landscape video,it my favourite subject in art.
Congrats Dad, Cheers!
Absolutely love the step by step feedback! I am literally learning years worth of understanding in my opinion just off of one video, I'm glad I subscribed to your newsletter. Literally I had no understanding of the different whites, and now after seeing this video and researching your feedback I realize why my art that includes straight up titanium white seems chalky.
Thanks Benny, glad this was helpful mate!
amazing !
Love your videos! This is something I’ll check out in your site.
Very nice, thanks for sharing, I learn a lot from it🙂
