I was stressed a lot lately, about all the expectations in life, relationships etc. But watching you, make me realize that … to compare with other people out there in the world, I am a lucky person! So why would I complain? Life has somehow drive me to put all the expectations at first, but thank you to let me have a moment, so that I know that I am blessed and should be thankful for that.

Hey man! This is Donnie right here, thank you for your video! This is one of the few songs that has ever moved me to tears. You actually did it again today when you mentioned the disabled people in your video. I have a severe muscular disease myself (SMA type 2) which limits me from basically everything muscular (A caretaker is actually typing this). I live by the mantra "Don't dwell in negative emotions but find strength in positive ones and soldier on!'' Thanks again and keep spreading positive vibes my man!

He shaked my hand and said his real name and we had a little conversation. A other song from him (Alles is nu) is the song from my passed away girlfriend and me. Maybe complaining is simply a symptom of short term desires that aren't fully fulfilled, lost as we are in everyday doings. It's hard to keep track of the big picture, the essentials of life. In the end it is about who lovingly holds your hand at your final breath. "you get what you give...", that's right. So focus on giving, you might end up receiving what you are yearning for.

I have seen your reaction before,but had to watch it again.. i was last day to the place i was at the dat that it would have been 6 years together with my girlfriend.. so strange that feeling that she passed away 1 day before that.. and that place is called Dordrecht (very close to Rotterdam) glad that it was a sunny warm day. We've been living on a pink cloud for four months. and when my little girl was 4 months old my mother was diagnosed and we were kicked off the pink cloud hard and into a nightmare.

The song they perform here is called 'Laat me' which means 'Let me' in sentence of 'Please let me do things the way I want to do them, in my own way'. The dutch version of the song is originally sang by Ramses Shaffy, but the origin of the song is French, I believe. I think the version and performance of Stef Bos and Miss Montreal is just... sooooo emotional and jaw dropping good. Not sure if this is the way to recommend a song for you to listen to, but if you find it I hope you enjoy the performance just as much as I've done all the trilion times I've listened to it already. :)

I might repeat what other said already. The translation is mediocre/bad. If people already get hit by this translation. If you truly understand the language its more deep then then the reaction to it. It’s about how vulnerable we are and how irrelevant most stuff is. As this Tv show is about other artist covering other artist their songs. The song originated as a spin of counting stars from Onerepublic as a challenge from a radio show (3fm Giel Beelen) to challenge current hits and put their own twist to it. Example: Froukje - same love (Macklemore), De Kraaien - Blurred lines etc from funny to fully in your face. But to conclude Stef Bos is probably one of most poetic singers the netherlands knows.
