Henk could have picked anyone of them to sing that duet with him, but he picked Emma, because he saw her potential and wanted to help coach her to the greatness he saw in her. He challenged her, pushed her, mentored her, and this happened. Quite amazing what a good teacher can mean to a young and upcoming artist :)
For Emma to hold her own amongst vocal masters like Floor and Henk is truly incredible. Her voice is so beautiful, so colourful… full of light and shade. This duet is one of the best I’ve heard… ever. Henk really almost nurtured Emma through this. They complimented each other so well. My point was that Floor's performances deserved EVERY bit of attention she has received for them, they were all so AWESOME! And as Ta Z points out, without Floor and the incredible attention she deserves and has brought to the show, that 2019 season of BZ would have gone by more or less unnoticed by the masses, certainly by the US fans. I would also give a big chunk of credit to the two ladies on YT who went to the trouble to translate to english all the discussions on that show, jenniezelf and Denise Hofs. Those translation made me SO much more interested and vested in those shows and those artists (other than Floor of course, I was already a HUGE fan of hers!).

Like that we take off our shoes in the house, or open the windows for fresh air and things like that. For me shocking is maybe if you sacrifice your firstborn to a dark lord or rip the heart out of a living goat for dinner .. but not so profane things 😂
This show is all about celebrating music. Each year different singers from different genres come together. Each weekly episode one singer sits on the couch and is sung to by the others. The singers pick a song from that artist or a song that means a lot to that singer. And in that way they are crossing their own genre...and just have fun....it’s such a beautiful concept and verry popular in the Netherlands...the concept is now sold to a lot of other countries...
First time I heard this, I cried my eyes out... Just one of those performances you regret not being able to undo hearing/seeing it the first time. For me, this was the best season of Beste Zangers and I love everything Floor did, but for me this was the song of the season.

This is one of my favorite duets on that show, not just that season, all seasons.. such a great song and performance. You asked if there is an album with these songs, well no not exactly but.. you can download most (if not all) of the songs on Itunes and/or Spotify as far as i know the songs are still available. This show is amazing, so much talent in one room, sharing the love of music with each other, and how better to do that than to perform for each other! What still makes me smile is when reactors dive into Beste Zangers because of Floor, then discover Henk and through Henk discover Emma and so on. You wouldnt be the first who feels the need to check out the other performances as well hehehe I'll give one suggestion that will surprise you a great deal i think, but that you will love as well : Henk Poort - Despacito Henk gave it some extra Cuban sauce and its great. Most obvious other suggestions would be Sound of Silence and Phantom of the Opera (you probably already reacted to one or maybe both) Thnx for the react man :D

They are Dutch. They sing in Italian and English and an American likes it. I see no boundaries. If you take a look at the different languages that pass the scene, it's actually insane. I’ve experienced these two performing ‘vivo per lei’ in real life. You can just feel something magical happening when these two sing together. If you like this particular song, I would advice you to look for the original too. Because this song is meant to be sung be an Italian of course. Look for Andrea Bocelli - Vivo per lei.

Normally this by Henk and Emma would have been the highlight of the season but of course Floor was a part of this season. But yes, at least among the European metal bands such as Nightwish, Epica, Delain and Within Temptation they are all very supportive of each other. When even Floor is impressed, it is really very, very good.
This is one of my favorite duets on that show, not just that season, all seasons.. such a great song and performance.
You asked if there is an album with these songs, well no not exactly but.. you can download most (if not all) of the songs on Itunes and/or Spotify as far as i know the songs are still available.
This show is amazing, so much talent in one room, sharing the love of music with each other, and how better to do that than to perform for each other!
What still makes me smile is when reactors dive into Beste Zangers because of Floor, then discover Henk and through Henk discover Emma and so on.
You wouldnt be the first who feels the need to check out the other performances as well hehehe
I'll give one suggestion that will surprise you a great deal i think, but that you will love as well : Henk Poort - Despacito

To be honest this is Henk Poort's comfort zone. Have you heard him doing The Phantom of the Opera? He performed in that for years.

I really like your comments about culture and music and thinking out of the boxes. Really proud to see these singers (not only the 2019 edition) sing in all these different languages. Imagine. They are Dutch. They sing in Italian and English and an American likes it. I see no boundaries. If you take a look at the different languages that pass the scene, it's actually insane. Floor sings in Dutch (with a Southern accent :) ), Spanish, English, German. Rolf in Dutch, Spanish and English. Henk Poort in Dutch, English, Italian. etc.

But you know what? What strikes me most is the diversity.... The languages. Somehow it's looks like it's soooo easy to sing in other languages.

I’ve experienced these two performing ‘vivo per lei’ in real life. You can just feel something magical happening when these two sing together. If you like this particular song, I would advice you to look for the original too. Because this song is meant to be sung be an Italian of course. Look for Andrea Bocelli - Vivo per lei.
