The way they interact is the CUTEST thing I've ever seen. The way the sloth pets her and she licks his hands. I had no idea sloths were so social and loving.

Despite the fact that they are of different species they are still relating well, that’s pretty cool 😎
they are not normally social. Males always live alone while females will sometimes hang with other females. One nice thing about them is they only empty their bowels and bladder about once a week, on the ground, never in the trees. maybe the fact it is disabled has made it realize on some level, it needs the people to feed him.

Life seems pointless and trivial and meaningless a lot of the time. I should just ditch my life and go work with animals but you know the saying 'No matter where you go, there you are'. You cant run from problems you take them with you

He quit, sold everything , bought a van and got two dogs and went off to work at some animal rescue place. Well, guess what, he was still miserable, couldn't get along with anyone over time and kept taking off for new places. I have not seen him in 20 years. I hope he has done some inner work to be happy.

It sounds like he did all that because he thought thats what you do if youre depressed and unhappy with your job and your life. In other words, he did it for the wrong reasons, because you cant run away from yourself. People who make a real commitment to animal welfare do it because they love animals and want to make it their life, not because they are unhappy people. Sorry you both lost touch

I loved the way the dog tapped the sloths arm for more petting, like you'd get if it was a human petting a dog. So funny.

Sloths aren't as slow as people think they are. In the trees an adult can move about 15 feet a minute.
I love that there are folks in this world that embrace values displayed in this video. Of course, the subject matter is heartwarming, but for me the real story here is the people who care so much about our world and the truly important things in it. It usually seems like these “relationships” between different species are kind of just imagined by the humans around the animals but these 2 genuinely seem to enjoy each other’s company. Very cute.
What do you mean by imagined though? They are not imagined.. People have eyes and can actually see if two animals are friends or not
@@wioi a lot of people tend to humanize animals because they don't read their body language correctly. For example when an animal licks or "hugs" another pet it can be a sign of dominance rather than friendship. But not in this case I'm certain.

Poor Chuwie survived a very terrible ordeal. I'm so glad he's found a friend in Seven. The way Chuwie reaches to hug & hold Seven is very adorable.

The dog trying to eat plants might show they were trying to imitate and be closer to it as to be socially accepted, so naturally seeing how slow and calm the sloth is, perhaps the dog tried to imitate that too. Domesticated dogs are very very good at being social and learning how to befriend people/other species.
Chuwie actually has a smile! That’s incredible! Sloths are … odd looking, almost not real. But that smile is most definitely from a live happy animal. Awesome story.

They dont have the movement speed or muscle power to do any damage oddly enough. The claws look scary but they were made for grip as oppose to defense.

Dogs really are some of the most accepting and compassionate beings on the planet. Chewie was all in pain and probably traumatized and seven welcomed him in and they became best friends it's so sweet. He's really got his spirit back 😊

I think Sloths are the cutest animals on earth, their slow movements and happy looking faces are just hilarious. Also very happy knowing he’ll be safe for the rest of his life, I would hate the thought of him going back to the wild with his injuries.
Check out the slow Loris. I think it is more cute, unfortunately it also has venom so probably not a good pet.

Sloths are my FAVORITE animal in the whole world! I absolutely love their smiley faces, their slow & calm demeanor, the way they show affection to others, even people, and THE best is the sounds baby sloths make, it just warms my heart. They're so cute! 😊 One of the biggest dreams I have is to see & hold one in person. I just want to feel the love I see in them in videos. The friendship with Seven is absolutely adorable & amazing!!❤❤
