    Dear Mr. Plumber. I have to say that you encounter some very interesting plumbing configurations. I've watched several of your videos and you go right after the issues. My philosophy regarding plumbers. Treat them with respect, pay them what they ask for and deserve and let them share some of their unique wisdom along the way. Thanks for sharing!

  • @gooseman8361

    Now that is a professional plumber! He reminds me of me!! I love to do this work as much as he does! Commercial plumbing is awesome too! For anyone who might be interested in this trade, it's awesome! Dive into it and learn, you'll always have work. But be an honest plumber. Treat your clients with respect and save them money by doing the job right at a very reasonable price! They'll always call you back, and recommend you to their family and friends. But do the job right! Don't half ass anything, or just band-aid leaks. Sometimes you gotta go an extra step and spend another hour or two. But do the job right, you'll feel real good about yourself too. It's a win win. Be fair, be honest, you'll never run out of work.

    Lav I noticed you use a face shield when cutting which is a very good example for newbie's and also when you take a call you keep right on working , when most guy's would walk outside , circle their truck several times and still charge the customer , your a straight up guy , which makes you video's authentic ... we so appreciate your time and effort making these videos ... bless you my good man ...

      its a 4 " riser and it needs replacing also just didn't have time today to tackle the job .she might get a bit longer before it lets loose.I usually like to wait for it to start leaking badly before replacing the pipe. I did tell her about it and showed it to her .in the end she has to pay me for the work so it's her call

    I had a lead closet bend/toilet drain. Plumber replaced with PVC but bathroom is over a dining room and I do not want to hear water. The vertical portion of the drain coming down the dining room wall is all cast iron. Should I just spray foam it? or insulate against sound? or replace the PVC with cast iron?

    I remember all too well that other repair you did. I don't like that brand of water heaters, I had one that burst with no warning, and another neighbor found a nice stream coming from their's a few days later. I warned them not to wait, as what happened to mine. I highly recommend to steer clear of that brand, and check my water heater at least once per month after my last one.

    • @anticapitalize
      @anticapitalize 7 років тому +1

      There's nothing wrong with AO Smith. They make good heaters, and do so for many other brands under their private label program. If water heaters are bursting or leaking after years of service it's because people aren't maintaining them. Relief valves have to be checked, anodes have to replaced, and they should periodically be drained and flushed to clean out the sediment. No brand lasts if you don't do those basic things.

    • @mr.dahliaking.202
      @mr.dahliaking.202 6 років тому +10

      True fact. When I was 15 yo I was cutting wood with wood cutter disk, and I used no guard to see where to cut. The high rpms pulled in a loose thread from my gloves and you can guess what happened next. I was in hospital for 3 days and two of my fingers were 50% sliced off and other two 30% sliced off. I waked with stitches for 3 months, I can't bend my middle finger into a fist no more, it hangs half way there. But I am able to use it. Angle grinder is some dangerous shit man, use the guard if possible.

    • @DragonBuilds
      @DragonBuilds 4 роки тому +2

      Yes! You NEED the guard, side handle and protective gloves, as well as a face shield when using that type of disc. Diamond cutting discs for metal are saffer, I always use those.

    Quite a bit of lead pipe you salvaged there. Nice work. I replaced some of my cast and will probably be chopping more of it out. Anyways, once I knocked the cholesterol out, the tub sounded like a jet engine when I drained it. The water shoots right through where the 94 years of cholesterol was removed. Nasty,

    Likely problem with that original pipe is it wasn't placed on an angle so it always had standing water in it. Amazing it took that long to rust through! The one going straight up and down also likely always had water running down that side it's rusting non stop from the pipe where the water was always standing.

    As far as property damage/water, within cast iron horizontal lines especially, any sewer, kitchen, or bathroom lavatory line, that you feel may be holding moderate amount within water. Don't loosen existing no-hub bands, or remove any fittings. Minimum within 2-dependable buckets, drill 1-2 holes within bottom of drain line, drain the water within controlled thought, post drained then proceed to remove the no-hub bands, process within replacement as well. Cast is very heavy alone, with holding water 4× the weight, person injury, also property damage enivtable.
