Agreed. Front is to rounded and back section is more square-ish. Thats weird combination in my opinion. The previous model's design was more coherent.

Great review as always. I personally preferred the quad light clusters of the previous model more but all in all its still a crackin car... its a Mercedes after all

This is not a change for the better. The last one was a better-looking car, sharper. The front looks like it wants to be a Boxster or a Ferrari, and the lights look like the new Astra. Not fresh at all. The E-class was a very pretty car; they should have left it alone. Regarding the journalist, he does a very good job and seems to take his work with no effort. A natural.
When reviewing a cabriolet, shouldn't you talk something about the roof too? Is it fabric or aluminum? How much space does it take? How fast is it?

In fact there is no E500 Cabriolet for the UK market available. According to mercedes-benz.co.uk

Much better looking than the a5 cab, but wish it had awd like the a5. Designed to be cruiser not a track car...

Not sure if I like the cosmetic face lifting.Would we still think of it as a nice looking car if it weren't for that huge star on the front grill? I think Mercedes new line of design is becoming more and more imposing rather than elegant. Good review though even though I would like to have a look at the boot too.

This IS the CLK, or rather, the new CLK. Only now it's no longer called the CLK. It is now called the E Class Cabriolet.

Mercedes seems to be a little clueless at the moment their designs aren't cohesive and that fly catcher at 1.05 would drive me crazy!

thie e-class cabrio looks definetly better than the ''old'' but u must be dumb if u buy an cabrio e-class instead of an T-model ...
