I read these books when I was 12 or 13, something like that. That's about 18 years ago now and it's amazing how much I remember of the plot. I'm rereading the series now, about halfway thru Red, and it's like I read it just last year. These are the kind of books you want to talk to friends and family about. Interesting plot, characters, world, etc.. Elyon's Strength!
It was interesting to hear you talk about this book! You make it sound good even when it is something I might not gravitate towards on my own (I am agnostic, it is good to know it can be enjoyed even by those who don't have the same faith).
I really enjoyed this trilogy. Dekker eventually wrote a 4th book, Green, that I haven't gotten around to yet. It's been so many years since I read the series that I feel I'd have to reread the first 3, and rereading isn't my thing.
If anyone wants to buddy read book 2 and 3 with me let me know.
I’m just starting to read the whole series. Starting with the order you suggested.
Nice review. Nostalgic revisit with a great tour guide! Thanks!
Thank you for telling me about it.
What would it be like to live in the garden? Cool concept. Thanks for the review.
Yeah man. It was a really cool look at what that might be like.
The most incredible series (as well as extended series)!
I really enjoyed it. I was so happy I got to read it.
This needs to happen as an animated series
Awesome review. I have never seen anyone talk about this series. I need to pick it up.
Michael Knipp has talked abt it about a year ago or so.
I highly suggest it. I want to read more of his work now.
Yes he did. Don't think he has reviewed it though.

Elyon's Strength!
Yes exactly I shared Black with a friend so we could talk about it. He loved it too. I was not super impressed with Green but did enjoy it.
Awesome review Raj! Even though you are different than most people we think you are pretty rad!
Thank you buddy.
It sounds interesting, specially the religious theme. I think I haven't heard about this trilogy before.
I think it is classified as a thriller but it also falls into the fantasy realm.
@@Rajathon For some reason, it made me think of the Broken Earth trilogy. The fifth season, Although I havent read them either heheh
No I haven't read Broken Earth but have heard it is good.
I've just started this. He said you can start with green, black, & so on. I'm reading it on Libby it's 700 pages I hope it can hold my interest

Yes I think it was probably more enjoyable for me as a believer but it is still very good and I think people would enjoy it.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this book, Ramsey! I got chills hearing you describe the ending.
I needed to remember how powerful the fall was and how close we could have been to God. Awesome book.
Good morning Raj!
How are you today?
Glad you enjoyed this one man. Its a great series with some great strong metaphors that is also just awesome as a story too
I am super excited to read the rest. I was listening to it driving home from Texas at 2 am and was not sleepy at all.

I have heard to makes the story a true circle but is not needed.
This sounds great!! I need to find a way to fit it in... next year! I've got too many series/ books going on now.
You should!
