Siddharth sir ji, it's good to see 9000Hp traction motor. Few years back 9000HP WAG 9HH was developed but only 3 units were made. Any update on these locomotives? Another question is Why still 6000hp engines are made when we have 9000hp engines?
OHE capacity limits...point limits & OHE section limits. Thr is no point in high power locos if u have to reduce locos per section as power's inverse proportion, many things r inter-related....
Speed doesn't only depends upon the capacity of the locomotive it also depends upon the track... There are so many area in the railways where you can see speed restriction are imposed.... for example for goods in most of the tracks speed restriction is of 100km/hr ....Your question is why railways has made only few it depends of their use and the area where it can be utilised..... if there are very few tracks which can support 160 km/hr speed then which is true in various zones speed restriction is 130 maximum(exclude some specific route)... even in northeast it is 110 for passengers making of such high cost loco is a costly affair....
Poor explanation...CG needs to replace this incompetent person immediately...keep learned engineers from IITs/NITs/Toppers from private engg. colleges for better prospects....highly disheartened to see this joker damaging the future of this promising company. Jai Hind !
Very poor traction motor.. kyo ki iski pinion bar bar lock ho jati h aur loco fail ho jata h.. aur iske part ek bar use hone ke bad dobara use nhi hota h..

Really 6 traction motors cumulative capacity equal to 9000 HP not single motor

Variable freq. Variable magnitude is achieved by IGBT and MOSFAT which makes regen bracking even easier !
@@ps9666 I was loco pilot high speed in western railways , I operated these loco on Rajdhani express .
The WAG9HH locomotive develops 9000 HP with 6 of these traction motors, hence each motor develops 1500 HP.
