2019 KTM 690 - Rade Garage Auxiliary Tank - More RANGE & POWER!

- Hey guys,
A few days ago, on recommendation of a friend, I installed the Rade Garage Auxiliary tank for my 2019 KTM 690 Enduro R.
Rade Garage make extended tanks for the KTM 690, and the Husqvarna 701. A link to Rade Garage is here : www.radegarage.com/
The install was painless. I varied the routing of the fuel line, which I discuss in the walk-around video. Instead of routing through to the fuel pump, I route to the breather port on the main tank filler cap.
I routed this using 1 metre of 3/16 fuel line. It's a super simple installation procedure. If doing this with the www.vanaschemotorsports.com/ alloy filler cap, be sure to drill out the breather hole to the same diameter as the breather port piece. The breather hole in the Vanasche is barely 1mm; you'll need to drill out to allow decent flow. The stock cap would be fine.
The way I have the Rade tank setup, allows the suction from the main tank to drain the Rade tank first. The Rade tank solution for the 2019 KTM 690 is fantastic - in that you don't need to remove the seat to fill the tank.
The kit is superb, the support from Rade is excellent. I highly recommend dealing with this company.
My fuel range has increased by around 100 kilometres. This is fantastic. I have a comfortable range of 350 kilometres; probably around 400 kilometres if doing highway touring.
I hope you guys find this video informative, it's not the installation video - but the Rade Garage guys have an excellent install video which I followed, there was no need for me to remake the wheel so to speak.
Ditch the Rotopax! Get the Rade Garage Tank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers and happy trails,
Tori :-)
The crew at Rade have come up with a clever tank/air box-I’ve been watching their product videos and they seem high quality. Cheers! Ride safe!
Cheers Diego. Yep, it's a super product, really happy with it.
Wow thats 1 of the best reveiws i seen thanks please keep us up dated on that tank if any problems pop up. Keep up the great work .. cheers
Super review Tori! Im already sold on the bike and with the added range of the Rade this is the perfect adventure bike.
Yep, it's definitely a very good choice. I can't think of a better light adv steed.
That is really smart and you are the only one doing this solution and keep your friend close because he's a genius!! This avoids to touch the pump system. Great and I'm sure is the same for the 701
Cheers. I've now done about 15000km on the 690 with the fuel routing like this, and no issues so far.
I installed the same tank on my 19. I reinstalled the stock plastic braces and that really helped with seat support, gap improvement, fit perfectly with no mods, and helped align the tank even better . I contacted rade with before and after pictures and recommended they add this to their instructions.
Oh! I should do this. I haven't put those plastic bits back on the seat. Did you need to make any mods to the plastic braces to get them to fit?
Tori's Trails no mods. They bolted back on nicely. It will snug the tank tightly so that it does not move. It also fills the gap between the frame and seat. I told rade garage they should add this to their instructions. Works well with stock and seat concepts seat.
@@offroadtrailrider77 awesome, I will.do this tomorrow morning first thing 👍👍👍
I bought the tank, installed it like you said and it works perfectly fine.
Anything else you say in the video is 100% true.
Thanks for improving my bike.
Good to hear, glad I was able to help :)
What an awesome setup Thanks for your video! I watch Josh's channel. Thanks for giving him and nat the mirrors. I just bought a used 690 and I picked up the same set for mine they're fantastic Thanks for sharing
What a woman ! Sick bike and install good work Tori. I can’t wait to get my hands on a 690 just wish we had more dirts road over here in the Uk 😭
Good work tori, great vid, some great tips !
Hi. Thanks for the video. I have two suggestions to improve the install. First, I suggest using spring clamps made specifically for clamping hoses in place rather than using zip ties. Second, with just a tiny bit of filing on the top edge of the seat support brackets and those can be reinstalled with the aux tank. Theses seat supports help carry the weight of the rider rather than having the tank support the rider.
Did you fix the seat supports with 3x bolts as per factory? The bottom bolt is also used for the new tank support.
Thanks for this! Great video
No worries glad you enjoyed it Mac.
Wow, thats a pretty neat package.
Thanks Nerb, bike is unreal. Wonder how much extra fuel I'd need to cross the Simpson unsupported?
ToriMoto You need 45 litres on a 690 for a unassisted scoot across the Mighty Simpson.
Hi, Tori. Thanks for the video! Question for you, the filler cap on you Rade tank looks like it has a breather? I don’t see this on the filler caps on their website. Did you add that, and if so, how?
You’ve created the unicorn!
Yep, this is the Unicorn bike I have been looking for. Such a fantastic motor; on a capable and well-suspended frame and geometry. Now with excellent fuel range, the ride puts a smile on my face every time :)
Tori's Trails have you noticed any weight difference or any difference in how it handles now with the added weight of the extra fuel?
Very nice Tori.
Thanks C W 👍
Thanks for the great videos and appreciate your bike mod/product reviews!!! I purchased the AXP Racing Skid plate after watching on your channel and am very happy with the purchase. Decided to go with plastic (HDPE) for my 2019 690 enduro engine covers. A quick question for you... any issues in economically sourcing replacement the twin air filter & sock for the Rade Aux Tank
Glad you are enjoying them. The AXP bashplate is great hey! I haven't looked for a replacement twin-air filter and sock - the Rade tank came with two sets so I just clean one while the other is in the bike. I'm pretty sure they air filters are available locally anyway.
Nice! I wonder if your install would apply to my 17' 690?
Just installed one today,love it!
Do you use the breather hose route and any advice ? Mine arrives tomorrow :)
augmach5 No I went through the pump, was pretty easy.Only trouble I had was the rear bracket(didn’t look like the one I the picture)holes didn’t line up because of some weld on on of the nuts on the frame so had to grind a few mil off the bracket. Also had trouble with the air box, sensor was on the wrong side so had to drill on opposite side to fit, didn’t come with the “Y” connector as pictured. For the price of it it should just drop in,was a few hassles but now it’s in i love it.
augmach5 definitely goes harder with the twin air filter 👍🏻
@@reganerskine248 - What year bike and model ?

Tori I just installed the rade garage intake and tank kit on my 690.
What twin air filter skin did you order that fits nicely over your air filter I thought that's really good idea
Thank you for this review and good info...
G DAY MATE 👍
Great video. I plan to add the same Rade to my 2019. Sounds like it added another 1.5 gallons of fuel (I'm from Texas). Good tips on what todo w/ submount interference. Seems like an easy fix.
Yep, nearly 8000km now and no problems with the fuel routing.
Tori's Trails did you have to remap the ecu when getting the rade system?
I am getting ready to do this install, have you had any issues arise from doing it this way? Also, could you explain just a little bit about drilling out the vent valve? I only ask because I have a 701 and am not sure it is the exact same setup. On the Vanasche file cap for my bike there is just the nipple on the side and that is it, is that te part that needs to be drilled out? if so any details you could supply would be great! Thank you
Will be putting the same tank on my 701. Just put a rally tower and racks by Nomad.
Nice video! I have the same bike! I really like your tires. Could you tell me which model, please?
Hey Tori, I'm also impress with your alternate piping, so much simpler. Sounds like the kit doesn't come with the extra long piping, What size did you get and where did you get it? Could you not secure it with hose clamps instead of cable ties?
I’ve used 5mm (3/16 inch) internal diameter clear fuel line and it fits nice and tight on both ends.
Tori, with your routing method, does it matter the order in which you fill the tanks?
Hi, thanks first of all for the informative report. I am also thinking about this additional tank. And this method of connecting the two tanks is much more appealing to me than the conventional method with the drilling at the fuel pump.
I have one question. Did you have to drill out the vent valve on the Vanasche tank cap?
I read that in some forums.
Yep, you do. Not by much, just select a drill bit that fits in the port.
does it seem like your seat is sitting on top of the tank and your weight is supported by the tank? Also do you think it raised the seat up since the seat is now resting on top of the tank?
I want to install the rade storage that as same air filter. Did you remapped it?
Can you please provide the brand and part number for the pre filter cover? Thank you.
hi, Tori.
great video, im ordering the rade garage auxiliary tank, and thinking about connecting it the way you did, in all this time, did this cause any problem with your gas pump?
thanks for your help.
regards from Jujuy, Argentina.
Hi Rodrigo sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Did you install your tank? Yes so far I have over 10000km with the RADE setup this way, with no problems at all.
Hi Tori, have a 2018 with the Rade Garage fuel tank. As you have said this bike is next level. I always come back with a smile on my dial after going for a ride on it. It's the ultimate hoon bike. Wondering what you used to ride before you got your beautiful 2019 690. Cheers
Before this my light-adventure bike was a TE630, before that a TE610. My first adventure bike was a GS650 Sertao.
Do you have to remove the seat to fill it on the pre 2019 verson? Or do the filler fit outside the seat as in this video?:)
way to go looking RAD :)
Cheers :) Loving it :)

Hello. What is the part nummer for the filter skin?
Great review Tori. Any drawbacks to your hose routing so far? Will the aux tank empty all the way? Will the main tank overflow if you open its filler port with the aux tank not empty? Ciao, Marco.
Hey Marco. I now have about 14,000km on the bike, so I have put more than 10,000km on it with the RADE tank. No issues so far - and the RADE tank always empties first. Concerning your second question, it's not something that I have tested. I would assume that no, it will not overflow - as the routing method relies on negative pressure as the main tank empties. Thus with the lid off the main tank, there will be no negative pressure pulling the fuel over from the RADE tank, thus no overflow.
@@ToriMoto Thanks Tori.
@@ToriMoto so in your setup, where/how does the overflow actually work now?
Which adapter for scotts damper do you use?
Great video. How much increase in intake noise did you notice? I too ride a 2019 690 R, and am impressed with this mod, but would like to keep it quiet.
Dave, Texas rider.
Hi David, I don't really notice intake noise - but that's because the Akra pipe is very, very loud. I also ride with earplugs. I think the mod is very much worth it though. Check with some riders on the advrider.com forums and see if they notice the intake sound over the stock exhaust (if that's the install config they have).
Is there more power because you routed it straight to the fuel tank or just because the product. Awesome video by the way. I subscribed and liked for support.
No more power by routing it the way I have, it just simplifies the fuel plumbing. The power gain comes from the airbox modification that is part of the Rade kit.
Great video! Bought and purchased because of your alternate setup as I didn't feel like tying into fuel pump. Did the install and it works great! Say, what twin air filter skin did you purchase?
Hey John it was this one : www.mxstore.com.au/p/Twin-Air-Air-Filter-Skins-2-Pack/160000?gclid=Cj0KCQiAiZPvBRDZARIsAORkq7ekPAS82lavY0CEBKd0y1aJ_tmdt7mmE5xx4Zxlbg2IxWuqywiyj-saAvdhEALw_wcB
I really the fuel setup, but does the tank get empty?
Got the Rade intake installed- Bike started fine, ran for 15 minutes without touching anything to have the ECU adjust/etc- Turned bike off and let it rest for a bit. Started back up and with just light/quick blips of the throttle it tends to die- Large rev's seem to be ok but now wondering as there is not much to really troubleshoot. 2019 690/Wings exhaust with large DB killer- Will put back together and take for a spin under load and see what happens...
Hmmm this is interesting, I haven't had that problem? How's it going now?
@@ToriMoto - Took it out for a spin and didn't have an issue. Got back home and @. Idle would die with just a slight blip. Odd
@@augmach5 Which map are you running? Mine is on the power/race map - called the Evo II map I think.
@@ToriMoto - Stock/OEM - US
@@augmach5 See if you can get the race map / EVO II map / Power map equivalent. It richens up the mixture and you shouldn't have those stalls - at least I haven't with my current mapping and the only changes I have made to the intake system are the Rade small-airbox and Akrapovic.
I really like the fuel alternative setup, great idea, but does the tank get empty this way? Is it necessary to have a vanashe tank cap? Would it work with the stock one?
Yeah it would work with the stock cap. It has a breather port as well. The RADE tank always empties first with the method I used here.
@@ToriMoto thanks!
The only question I have (since I have the same bike...) A power wheelie in 6th???? 3rd, ok, but 6th?
Nice vid, thanks. What filter sock do you use over the filter?

Hello Tori, just finished installing the Rade tank, siphon method but not sure how it works, at the beginning around 2/3 of the fuel was sucked from Rade tank but then I ran out of fuel on the Husky tank and the Rade tank still had 1/3 of fuel, can you please advise?
I don't have this problem on my 690. It's possible your Rade tank outlet/fuel routing isn't lower than the main tank? I'd post the question over on the 701 Enduro thread on ADVrider for better advice.
Something similar happened to my 701 with the siphon install method. It worked fine initially, but then stopped feeding to the main tank. Pretty sure it was due to flow on the "siphon" fuel line being crimped. Fixed it by replacing the transparent, tygon fuel line with more rigid line.
ToriMoto, where did you get the vented cap for the Rade aux tank. the one they sell has a solid cap, since it's designed to utilize the OEM tank vent.
I modified the cap (drilled a hole) and used a short breather hose/vent that you see on enduro bikes.
@@ToriMoto Thanks for the reply, I have received the kit and it does come with the vented cap for the Rade tank. In the video Rade Garage shows a tank with a non-vented cap, hence my confusion.
I have also (per your tips) drilled out the ID in the Vanashe filler breather to 3mm.
Tori, I love your accent.
No accent, here it's normal.
Hey Tori, I have just bought a Husky 701 (swapping it for my GS1250). I'm interested in your Rade Aux tank. So it's been almost 2 years, are you still running it and are you still happy with it?
Hey Brent; yes I am. I now have 14,000km on the odo since this install, and it has worked without issue. Routing is still the same as in this video, utilizing the breather port on the Vanasche fuel filler and a line direct from the Rade tank. Vacuum pressure takes care of the fuel feed, and the Rade tank will always empty first.
Good choice on the 701, I was wondering how long it would take you to realise the GS1250 (which is great as a road touring bike) will only hold you back on your adventures. Light is right.
Jump on my store : torimoto.com.au and you'll find plenty of accessories for your shiny new 701. Give me a call if you have any questions.
@@ToriMoto Just flipped you an email.
very good idea with that fuel routing, as I'm not eager to drill in stock fuel pump...wonder though how balance of the bike is affected.
Yep, I've done about 4000km with this routing and it's great. Handling isn't compromised.
@@ToriMoto great, I guess I will do the same. I'm curious though how come vent outlet provide suction there.
So when refueling, do you fill both tanks through the different caps , or just through the rade to refill both at the same time . Cheers
You have to fill each tank separately.
Can you tell me which filter skin you have used? It fits nicely, and I'm trying to find the same exact one. Thank you!
These ones : www.mxstore.com.au/p/Twin-Air-Air-Filter-Skins-2-Pack/160000
@@ToriMoto Thanks! That's the one I ordered!
I love the simpler install but are there any issues with the lack of breather? I’m assuming expansion goes back into the new fuel tank?
I've done about 13,000 km with this installed, with no issues. And yep, correct.
Hi Tori
Do you have exact km range out of the 2 tanks yet and also where did you get the filter skin from .?
Thanks Ben
Fuel light came on at about 320km on my first ride with the setup. Mind you, it was spirited riding and I was quite liberal with the throttle, you know? It wasn't a sedate put-put around the area. I'd be sure to get 400+ for highway or road cruising.
The filter skin is from AMX Superstores. MX Store also have them. It's a Twin Air filter skin, part number 160000
Tori's Trails thank you very much
Hey Tori, did you have the fuel dongle with this ride? Do you recommend it with this fuel tank mod + exhaust?
Yep, I am pretty sure I was running the fuel dongle back then. Note that my bike is a Euro 4 version, and I am not sure if dongles work with the more recent Euro 5 690's.
How are you doing that!
I’m 6+ liters per 100km 😳
I reckon my range would go from 210km to 300km. Still would be quite handy!
Range on the road at lease should be in excess of 400Kms. Dirt riding range obviously depends on conditions and how hard you are riding. Best solution out there, solves 2 problems at the same time, increased range and better air filter!
Yep totally agree. It's a great solution!
@@ToriMoto I am really impressed by the fuel pipe routing v the hassle of the normal installation. I was not looking forward to doing that again, I did it before with the British Rallye Raid side tank which uses the same bottom of tank mod. But your method is such a simple solution which obviously works, congratulations to your friend!
Eliminates the hassle of removing the air box to get to the inline fuel filter as well I think.
Quick question, what ID and OD fuel line did you use to run the axillary tank to breather tube on main fuel tank? Thanks Tori!
I'm unsure of the OD, I can put a caliper on it if you like. But inside diameter is 3/16" Fits great to the port on the Vanasche fuel filler. Make sure you drill the breather hole to match the diameter of the breather port.
Hi Tori, I ran my axillary tank set up the same way you set up yours, it ran flawlessly. The main tank remained the same level as the axillary tank fed fuel to it. Much better set up than messing with dropping the fuel pump. Thanks!
@@ToriMoto can you please elaborate on this, where do you need to drill the hole?
@@ToriMoto great setup -- how did you drill the breather hole -- if you do it from outside the Vanasche fuel filler you'd have to be super precise not to strip the threads -- if you do it from the inside you'd have to angle the drill?
What about additional weight?
Do you fill up from the front tank or from the rear. If you fill up from the front will it fill the main tank? Thanks from San Diego
I'd would like to know this as well. I'm guessing that it would take awhile for the main tank to fill as the air being displaced would have to vent through the line as the gas was trying to fill the main tank.
Hi Tori, just wondering do you know the part number for the TwinAir filter skin you have in yours?
Thanks John
Hey John, yep this one : www.mxstore.com.au/p/Twin-Air-Air-Filter-Skins-2-Pack/160000
@@ToriMoto thanks so much!! Loving my 690 and your review of the Rade aux tank helped me decide to get it and the rally fairing!! Thanks again!
@@ToriMoto BTW love your channel
@@ToriMoto crazy they don’t sell them in the states
Love this idea Tori. Do you notice big increase in intake suction noise with the different airbox set up?
Nah, I didn't notice any extra intake noise. Mind you, the Akra is LOUD, and I wear earplugs when I ride . . .
Hi Tori! Love you channel. I've got a 2020 KTM 690. I'm going to install the Rade Aux. Tank. Was wondering if you've had any issues with your tank since you installed it? Trying to decide if I should install the way Rade recommends or your version. Cheers
Hi Hamish, I’ve got a ‘21 and I’ve just fitted the Rade tank and done it the same as Tori. Not tried it yet but was wondering the exact same thing. I spoke to Rade and they said they were aware of this setup and suggested I may have problems if using it in hot conditions? Let us know if you find an answer to this. 👍🏻
@@barrier911 Hi Barry - I had the same convo with Rade. Looks significantly more work to install their way. But as I understand - Australia gets hot sometimes - so I imagine that if Tori hasn't run into any 'dramas' then her install solution is easier. I'm still on the fence though myself. I'll keep you posted.
Hey Hamish and Barry. I have had zero issues with my install, and have done about 14,000km on the 690. I think I did the Rade install at about 2,000km. It gets super hot here, I have ridden in 40c temperatures, no problems. I have a few friends who brace the same setup. Nobody has any problems to report.
Thanks for the reply and I’m loving your channel. I’ve fitted it exactly as you have and I’m glad I noticed the comment about drilling the Vanasche breather hole and obviously removing the ball bearing. 😳
I’m riding it to Dakar a couple of times later this year, covid permitting so hopefully I’ll have no issues. Regards, Barrie.
Great video's by the way, keep them coming. Ah, at the risk of upsetting the tyre gods! What tyres work for you on the 690? I'm thinking Mitas 07's look good for 50/50 road/dirt and then something like Golden tyre 723 for more aggressive off road.....and the rest of you will no doubt let me know the errors of my ways. :-)
Motoz is the go too for me.
E07 are great for 50/50 riding. For more dirt biased riding I use a Michelin Starcross 5 Hard on the front, and I vary the rear tyre depending on what's available etc etc. At the moment I use a Mitas Rock-Rider.
Hi Tori
I am about to install the same tank on my 21 Enduro. I really like the alternative solution you did with the suction from the venting port on the std. Filler.
Question. Have you remved the SAS and Canister? If not. What did you do with the other end of the standard venting hose ? Plug it? 🤔 thank u!
Neat, been looking at this tank. Would be keen to find out how much you get out of it with just pure street riding. On my GS (20L tank) I can get about 450km out of it using cruise control and 90-100 km/h so if the 690 does the same this tank would be all I need for overland adventures :-)
I think you'll easily do 400km to a tank with conservative highway touring. I'm getting about 375 and I'm on the throttle a lot; doing a mix of dirt and tar, definitely not riding for economy. It'll be interesting to see just how much range I can get out of the tank on a long stretch of road.
@@ToriMoto Done any more testing yet? :-) Curious how much kilometers you get on longer trips.
@@ToriMoto I’m also curious on how many km you can do with full tank
How much was that tank if you dont mind.. i found it for 1250 dollars
419 Euros - Check here : www.radegarage.com/parts/ktm-690-19-tank/ Shouldn't be $1250 dollars that's for sure.
Do you feel removing such a big part of the airbox would compromise the engine allowing for more dirt to get it?
How good at removing particular is that filter.
I've been curious of this , seems like its remove alot of the protection.
like remove a humans nose because breathing through your mouth allows more air. Of course more bacteria, and poor quality air would go to the lungs.
Thats how I imagine it.
Not sure how to view this
There have been no issues with the replacement airbox. Every time I clean and replace the air filter, I am happy to see no dust has made it through to the intake.
Hi, I also have this tank & I have found they have an issue with the fuel boiling from the heat of the engine & spraying out of the breather hose on the fuel cap when doing slow technical riding. This is especially a common occurrence in the summer months.
I think I have remedied this problem though by installing a - CoolAir Manual Radiator Fan Switch - giving me the ability to keep the radiator fan running the whole time while doing slow riding. I hope this helps anyone else out there who encounters this issue.
Interesting - do you have the heat-reflective shielding installed on your Rade tank? Mine came pre-installed. I haven't had this problem, but admittedly it isn't summer right now. Another thing, what pipe are you running? I've found that since installing the Akrapovic and opening the bike up, the exhaust line/header is much cooler than previously.
@@ToriMoto I own both version 1 & 2 of this kit.
I bought version 2 soon after it was available.
Niether of my tanks came with any
Shielding & I just figured it must have been a clearance issue so I never reported this problem to Rade.
It seems they have caught on to this issue themselves
Seeing that Your tank has sheiding.
My fan solution is working at the moment but I also haven't tested it in the full heat of summer yet.
I may contact Rade about getting a shielded tank anyway.
Im running a wings slip on with a large diameter baffle so exhaust heat build up is not an issue.
Just to be clear, I am happy with the Rade tank & recommend it to enyone that's considering it as its definitely a worthwhile upgrade.
@@Reano29s - Yeah I would ask for the shielding- You dont want that gas boiling...
You should just be able to get the shielding, you won't need another tank. It just sticks onto the bottom of the tank. Rade might even send you out some free of charge?
Good idea, I will shoot them an email & see if they can help out.
I also will continue to use the manual fan switch though to keep the bike at a nice steady temp when I'm moving slowly through the bush, As I often do because I am more of an explorer on my Husky 701 E - rather than fast moving enduro rider.
Thanks for the advice, Happy Trails :-)
2nd time watching.
I think I would rather convert my Husq 701 to an LR than replace my entire air box with a tiny foam filter. Of course I have never liked foam filters. Eliminating that fuel pump mod is a fantastic idea. It's main thing I dislike about the Rade kit.
Can this work on the 690 supermoto?
Yes
do you need to remap the engine?
No, not necessary - but I already had the KTM 'power' map from the dealership installed. Unsure what maps come with the bike in other jurisdictions.
Are you the torimoto that sells kriega
Yep 🙂
Yes, but it is loud
400km! Tell him he's dreaming.
Nice slip-on 🤣
Thanks :)
It's Raid, Raid Garage not rarday :D
Wasca sorry it’s Rade Garage and they’re a Czech company so she pronounced it right
Good review however you forgot to mention the most important piece of information " THE PRICE "
Power wheelie in 6th? Come on now! It's pronounced like Blade, But with an R.
Well it only works when doing a standup one, and I have to compress the suspension a bit, but it can be done without any clutch. Not that I can hold the wheelie for long though . . .
You a girl so you will probably get 500km :)
Rade fuel tank is not legal for road use. Not ADR compliant , could have problems if you need to insurance claim one day
Not really bothered, JC. My KTM dealer speaks highly of the Rade tank solution; it wouldn't affect any insurance claim I might make on the actual bike. Insurance around a crash? I think I'd be fine here in Australia. I mean - it's safer than having an exposed Rotopax attached to the tail rack of my bike . . .
I'll be leaving the Rade tank on my bike, it's fantastic. I'll also be installing Tubliss on my bike, which I also believe isn't ADR compliant. Who really cares? Enjoy your bike, mod your bike, don't worry too much about it all . . .
I know Bolton’s :) they are also my dealer :P rotapax on the side doesn’t affect ADR. Australian Design Rules (ADRs) are national standards for vehicle safety, the rade tank specifically state “for off-road use only” . It’s a grey line modifying the fuel cell on a motorcycle and also if the modification didn’t pass ADR , you might have issues . Just staying :)
All good, I guess I'm not really modifying the fuel cell; all I have done is route the breather hose from the main tank to a large overflow container ;)
All good ;) enjoy the 690 ! Catch you on the trails at some stage
