Wow! I turned this on and found myself on my route from work in Stowmarket to my home in Needham Market! As soon as you left the village, I knew where you were going. When my grandchildren were smaller, we all loved going to Baylham although the pygmy goats scared the younger ones by climbing all over them. Feeding the Kunekune pigs was a highlight. Thank you for sharing. Are rare breeds a thing in the US?
Patrick, Wow, I have to say Stowmarket and Needham are both so incredibly beautiful! You're so lucky to call them home. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the video and was able to bring back some lovely memories of your special time with your grandchildren. How special we got to visit such a lovely gem! Me again, I commented on the Woodbridge video. I actually work in the Industrial estate at Needham market. The TVR garage closed recently, It was called Kerridges and was run by the same family for over 100years, they still specialised in TVR and Noble cars second hand sales and servicing right up until their closure, they always had some lovely cars to look at. Needham market itself is another little British town steeped in history as almost all of them are.
Friend, thank you for sharing about the history regarding the TVR Garage. We are definitely going to be returning to check out Needham again very soon. Thank you for your time again! 🤍 Jess x

What a great time you had; the weather sure was with you. Those pigmy goats are such fun, and also great climbers, too. I had one climb on my shoulders when I visited a pals small holding. And it's soo hard not to fall in love with the highlands. Those horns though, a mighty scary tool if the get riled. I can see you and Chris will need to pick wisely what livestock you have, and maybe up the size of your farm, too. Stay well, happy and passionate about enjoying life and being nice to folks.

Loved the heritage breed farm. There are many across the UK with an interest in continuing the heritage breeds, an interest shared by the late Queen and also by King Charles. The blood stock of these breeds is also found across the USA and other settled countries. Because you live in a region which is as flat as a pancake, we see beautiful skyscapes. You are all making the best of your time in the UK and well done for that.
Oh, I definitely love animals and can't wait to have a farm in the US. Will have my tie to the UK through them as well as you all. I just love it here and try to enjoy each day we're blessed to call this home! We appreciate your support, friend! 🤍 Jess x
Cracking camera your using in repect of colour definition, especially on the opening shots of the farm. Perhaps I am not used to seeing sunlight areas! LOL! Adorably fun vlog guys.
Here's a tip for you (although you may already know). When you arrive at any town you don't know, the oldest part is always around the church - that means the oldest church (because a lot of places also have other communities with more recent buildings - Baptists, catholics, jehovah witnesses, etc. A well trained English eye knows right away when we arrive at the historical centre of any place. THERE you will find the most ancient buildings, and in country villages quite often a manor house which may even date from the same era as the church (as the "lord of the manor" was very often key in founding the church next door to him).
Free House!! My dad used to say that while my mum drove us kids around, I’m 40 now and Free House whilst out searching for a pub are words to LIVE BY!!❤😂😂

Needham Market, Suffolk / Needum Market. TVR sports car maker / now defunct, although rights sold on. No new cars. TVR factory at Blackpool, made sports cars with V8 engines etc, a bit hairy and lairy, much missed from Lancashire, NW England. Bristol Avenue, Bispham / (Bispum), north of Blackpool tower. All the best. Love the Highland cattle. Heard an old pop song on the radio last night. Today / Talk Talk. Lovely old electro pop song.
It's my neck of the woods, too! We live in Stowmarket, so I instantly recognised that road. The church you passed as the bells chimed on the left as you went through Needham Market is St. John the Baptist, with an amazing 15th-century hammer-beam roof. It's definitely worth a view if you're ever passing that way again.
I remember watching an old black and white Hollywood western about a farmer bringing sheep to America for the first time, the cowboys were not impressed 😂 🤠 🤘👍..

I thought I caught a reference to 'White Park' cattle. I think these are a primitive breed, with primitive habits, which is why there was a warning. They might be related to the Chillingham cattle from North Northumberland.
Hi Jess, This was an absolutely great vlog, seeing mainly you with all those animals, and your joy, was lovely. May I ask, you have always said you wanted sheep etc on your farm when you go back to the USA, will they be for food?

Hi Jess, when you move Back to the States what sort of farm are you hoping to set up? I can see you spoiling whatever animals you get, they will be spoilt rotten. What a lovely day out. These sorts of farms are all over now.
As I am from East Anglia I like to guess where you were heading by the scenery, as soon as you passed Kerridges the TVR place (Where I bought my TVR), I knew exactly where you were going...
Hi Jess TVR was a British Sports car manufacturer who built cars out of fiberglass and were fitted with massive engines they had insane top speeds and huge acceleration abilities but the stopping power was a bit suspect
On the contrary, my TVR Griffith that I bought from that very garage when it was Kerridges had magnificent brakes. No traction control, so a bit of a handful.
@@tonymiller3182 I've driven a lot of TVRs as I'm from the car trade and every single one had Fred Flintstone car brakes to stop it. They were well known throughout the trade as having rubbish brakes. Your one must have been the exception

You must go to Orford. Nowhere else on earth will you find a 12th century castle overlooking a once top secret nuclear weapon testing site and get great smoked meats!
@@DaydreamersBarn The once top secret nuclear weapon testing site is managed by the National Trust. Worth a visit, but it's a little bleak! If you head north along the A140 towards Norwich it's worth turning off for Wickham Skeith. There's a fascinating story about the village pond, known as the "grimmer". Back in the 1820s someone insisted on being dunked in the grimmer to prove he wasn't practising witchcraft. Meandering north through the local villages will bring you to Thornham Walks.
