I agree, I'm 80 years old and it's the most beautiful and emotional movie I've ever seen and frankly I saw a lot and a lot... ❤
I am 75 and this beautiful movie BROKE MY HEART AGAIN; it took me back 60 years, to when I gave it away the first time. It still hurts sometimes. But this movie is so rich and deep in the truth & power of love, it bares our very souls. It was a miracle the movie was made after A DECADE OF ATTEMPTS, the beautiful actors, setting, and circumstance that created the gift to all of us.

This is by my opinion the most emotional and beautiful movie in it's every single scene, line, movements. Nothing was sufficient, nor had any empty scene to make the movie longer! But, yesterday I've read the book in which ending pages Oliver came for Hanuka! Yes, he came but can you believe? ONLY to tell Elio, his mother and father, that he will get married next year. And during those 3 days he was there, he neither has kissed Elio nor they had have any sex. How rude and cruel to sensitive Elio who expected again to have "all night hugs, kisses and sex until the Dawn" as it was written in the book. Surely, Elio was totally broken by that behave, but he still kept in his mind all the loving scenes with Oliver for easier further living, and for "maybe he'll see Oliver sometimes in their older ages" moments. In this movie the director Luka has he spared us complete grief made by the book, "adapting ending of the movie" to happen by the Fireplace during Elio's quite sobbing and crying during the whole song and ending Credits. When I read the book yesterday, I understood why this movie has got Oscar for the Best Adapted Scenario, maybe ever since today, by my opinion! Also, this movie has real tender kisses! Just watch all of these Edits and look in slow motions and you will, like I had, understand why Armie's wife is jealous at Timothy! They are both excellent actors, but there were also mutual emotions, for sure. That's why all the Audience believed in the movie, and sobbed together with Elio.
No no sequel please! This movie is a masterpiece ❤❤❤❤

Luca’s still open for the sequel as of 2022. I wonder which direction he’ll take since in Find Me book, Elio is about 37 and Oliver is 44. Timmy is still relatively young to play a 37 year old guy unless Luca changes the story from the book.
There will be a sequel. Probably 10 years after the original. Armie is getting ready now. We're with you, Armie and Timothee!
Sadly, there is no reunion to rejoice. Only time and opportunity lost to time.
