Such a good movie. Just saw this for the first time. Armie and Timothée deserve awards for their performances. Also when Elio’s dad said “our hearts and our bodies are given to us only once” it hit me right in the chest for some reason. Very powerful movie. ❤️
Over the last two months since seeing this movie-I've probably watched every clip on UA-cam about this movie, so I've probably now seen this movie 50 times with the clips. Each time I get hear this song I get huge pit in my stomach-and a sense of sadness, yet I keep listening and watching. Honestly, I don't know if I can watch another movie with Timothee-he'll always be Elio to me now. The sequel to the book is out in a couple of months. Not sure I have the courage to read it-ha, what a puss I am.
The sequel is a complete different story so don't keep your hopes up. I finished the book 1 month ago and I liked it but not what I was expecting. I personally think they should leave this movie as is or maybe rewrite a new story.
The best movie ever made about love, youth, homosexuality, bisexuality, and people's relationships. Most real, most close to whom we are and our hearts, without all the shenanigans and artificial layers they so often fill it with. So pure, simple, and true. I also loved the nature in this movie. It hung together with everything else. I absolutely loved everything in that movie, all personages, and all their interlaced relationships. ❤️ The father's speech towards the end was so deep and true. How everybody should be towards each others. Wonderful movie.

This played for about seven seconds in the beginning of NCIS Los Angeles season opener. As someone that loves music and a hopeless romantic I found it very moving.

I love how at 2:41 Oliver sees that Elio is really upset and he just scoots closer and holds him and it was really cute😊😊
