I LOVED hearing the kids running around and playing! I’ve lived in neighborhoods with a bunch of kids and I have lived in neighborhoods where all the kids grew up, moved on and all that were left were the parents. The place was quiet and dull. Almost lifeless. You’ve got a good home, a great neighborhood and an awesome pit! I ordered mine about a week ago. Should be getting it in another week. I also ordered the most important mods, (firebox liner, manifold cover and a better thermometer). I figure I take care of all of this while it’s taken apart and clean.
The at&t guy tried to spoil you, and the kids might have stole the show, but still a great video on your part. My 1050 is still in the box. Thinking I will order the LSS mods, soon.
Tim Hoff - Question: With the 1050 put together and if you wanted to take it somewhere would you be able to lay it on its back on a blanket in the bed of the Truck to haul or would you have to stand it up and strap it down > Didn't know if it would hurt anything laying on its back along with taking the grates out... ? Your thoughts would help - I am going to be buying one soon...

Thanks for the video. I'd love your thoughts comparing the 560 with the 1060 since you own them both. It seems more assembled than Masterbuilt's 560 build video would lead you to believe.
Hey Tim I just picked one of these up as well, stupid question. My manifold came slathered in grease, did yours come the same way and did you clean it before installing?

Looks awesome. I work at Home Depot and been wanting to pull the trigger on this one. Do you know if the metal is thicker on the 1050 then the 560?

Yes and looks like its rusting. I've read on forums that one should apply oil and season well.
How was the assembly?
