Just listened to Firepower for the first time, honestly I gave up on JP after Nostradamus.... turns out they weren't washed up after all. What a stormer, easily the best since Painkiller.
@@palliare-carpediemz.u.pall569 Priest have never been that reliable. Point of Entry, Turbo, Ram it Down, the second Ripper album, were all poor. Angel of Retribution and Redeemer weren't that amazing either. I got into the band in 1983 and saw them on the Defenders of the Faith tour. So I kinda started at the peak, there was only one way to go from there.
6 years ago i was sitting in my room blasting the new Priest Firepower. 6 years later im listening to the new Priest Invincible Shield. Both insNe albums
I just bought firepower CD for my retro car. The best!!!!🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟

In spite of being the best 2010's metal album I do not like Firepower that much. To me the overal sound on this album is too focused on the 80's. On the contrary the sound on Invincible Shield seems to be more modern than on their previous album. Songs are even faster which is a great thing. Yeah there are many traces of the Firepower sound present here on IS, but its a step forward for me at least. Definitely gonna buy their new album unlike Redeemer of Souls (for me their worst album). Can't wait!
Can we all just appreciate that they could've just phoned this album in but instead they made one of their best albums. Not THE best perhaps but certainly in the conversation. Is there ANYONE more metal than Rob? He is to metal what Lemmy was to Rock n roll.
If You Really Want To Know How To Play This Song Check Out【Judas Priest】 - 「Firepower」 GUITAR COVER (Full Instrumental) † BabySaster, She Absolutely Kills It!!!
There was a vid from JP concert in Japan (2019 concert I think) and Halford sang the eponymous song from Firepower exactly like in studio. It was almost unreal
Really Alan? I was standing a few metres back to the right and the circle pit for Priest was the craziest one I saw all day - people were being knocked over at speed, it was full-on! I've since said to heaps of people it was the most hardcore crowd for the day, there was nothing like that for Slayer who immediately followed. The video is of the band not the crowd, don't know how you could come to that conclusion from that video - even if it had been the case which it most certainly wasn't. Lamest comment eva!
It seems that that the Download festival in Australia is held in a cow shed. Priest have become a parody of themselves. I've heard better tribute bands, but let's face it, that's what Priest have become. Like watching a poor Spinal Tap cover band.
In what world? Firepower is easily their best album since painkiller. Rob sounds amazing still. Richie is a really great replacement. If anything this is the best they've been in almost 20 years. Keep in mind I've loved everything between painkiller and firepower as well.
Al Royce Avorque Why can't people read. Who's said that Firepower wasn't a good album? All sorts of tricks can be used in the studio. Listen to Rob here, he's awful. We are criticising their live performances. It's as if Spinal Tap we reborn. Cliched shitty guitar solos. I can see why the Americans like them, reminiscent of dreadful eighties hair metal bands of that era. Boy, did America try and ruin the metal genre. They should never be forgiven, and Priest went down that road too.
Judas Priest "Yeah we've been around about 50 years but we're just gonna put out one of the all-time greatest metal albums in 2018, NBD"

Not a bad song on Firepower

Ian Hill.. the immovable object.
Always loving that super groove, dude.

They said explicitly that nostradamus was an experiment that they just wanted to "have done" once
On you for not checking.
You are a true fan of this band. LOL

He really is the Metal God. Rob you monster! Amazing as always. And Judas, no words can describe how amazing you play.
3:40 - even the security guard felt like headbanging until he realized "hol' up, this isn't my jam. Hm" lol
Firepower is one of Priest's strongest albums in decades
I always talk with security at each concert i go. They always tell me that they love metal concert because we guys, are the most cool audience.
Amazing festival. They had one of the best performances of the day
メタルゴッドの振り付けシュールでかわいいって思いながら見てたら曲中盤のシャウトでやられた

Love that intro! Apart from that, this is a song I can't stop listening to
Ian is rock solid on bass, as always.

Album was so good
Hey Jim these videos are very good quality.
treeduck Thanks mate, glad you like them. Was an awesome show.
Great hit !
Thank you so much for filming this! Its such good footage. I was behind you to the right I think
Mercy My pleasure. Glad you are enjoying it. Such a great gig. Too bad it was only 75 minutes.
Too bad that they didn't play Metal gods or The Ripper, is that all the footage you got on the channel? I only saw a few songs but some were missing
Mercy That’s all the songs I recorded.
Metal Gods & The Ripper would’ve been great.
Awh that sucks, well good footage though, can't go wrong with that ay
Mercy it was half the set. Still needed to rock out and take pics too. Lol.
Firepriest! Firepower! 😊
Can't wait till Oct! Got tix for L.A. and Vegas!
Rob! Ritchie is awesome live!
Great wooow

Crazy to think he's been doing this since the 70s.
Definitely
Richie Faulkner the luckiest man in the world.
Got one of his picks from that show. I'm the lucky one.
Unlike a lot of rock singers, Rob Halford can sing the songs in tune live.

Richie Faulkner is perfect in priest.
Fuck how did I miss this
The kings of metal 🤘🏼
Was gonna do a 'Hold My Beer' thing but nah. Rock on Priest!
GOD DAMN CELL PHONE VIDEO!
WTF I just broke my keyboard. Richi Rules!
Foda demais...PHODAAA...em São Paulo foi FODAAAAA..
I want the intro so bad
It's sad that there's no Tipton or Downing in Preist anymore
Totally agree. But how good is KK's Priest?
Jason Statham is very underrated guitar player
I had NO idea Scott sang back up vocals. Is this new?
This was recorded March 2019
Jim Dumay Roger that. It’s a great upload. I was actually asking if Scott just started singing. Like after Glen and KK left or something.
fuck priest is so good
Best ever!
Wheres that intro music from?
It seems Rob reduced his fat fast
What is the song playing in the beginning?
i think is the piano version of the Firepower guitar solo (amazing)
Where’s Glenn ;(
Uuuuh! Where's Glenn?
Parkingson and more.. can’t do touring :(( all the info on wikipedia
Crowd blows. I woul d have already started a mosh pit. Nothing to dangerous I am old and shit . Not as old as these guys.

Only Rob and Ian now from real Judas priest get K K back
Who knows...it would be a logical step I guess
