@@Tharanicus Sure do because in the beginning, they were called Gothic Priest(1973-19780, then Judas Killers(1978-19840, and then Judas Priest(1984-2024).
The hall of fame is a complete joke from start to finish so i pay ZERO attention to who goes in or not. Its meaningless. As meaningless as a rolling stone magazine top 200 singers/guitarists/band ect lists....not worth the paper their printed on. If you want to see what pieces of shit they are just listen to steve millers acceptance speech.
I was fortunate enough to see the mighty Priest in 82, 84, 86, 88 and 90. The heyday of metal and these guys were so fkn loud and badass. One of the hardest rockin bands ever!! Long live Judas Priest!
Getting a heart from KK’s Priest is awesome. When I was 11, I formed my first band. I taught my friend Dave to play guitar. He had blonde hair and I had darker hair, so he was KK and I was Glenn. At that time, Priest was my favorite band and for years after as well. The dual guitar solos were insane and those two guys were my biggest inspiration in learning guitar. Thanks. From the bottom of my heart for being so incredibly talented and inspiring.
@@petermuylaertTed Nugent was very loud and people were saying at 1 outdoor concert he played at people could hear the music 15 miles away . I seen Ted in 1978 and my ears were ringing for 3 days after and this was at the now gone civic center in MN back then. Crazy ass concert with people fighting all over people lighting fires on main floor and people throwing bricks of fire crackers and M80s into the crowd lol .We had Lynyrd Skynyrd play a out door concert back in 2012 in clear lake Wisconsin and I could hear the music where the concert was and clear lake is 7 miles away from my house . Kicked myself in the ass that I didn't go but I've seen them twice and before Ricky Medloch left his band Black foot to tour with Skynyrd and I got to meet him twice back in the 80s at a bar I used to go to called Dillinger's in cedar MN that hired Black foot to play outside 2 summers in a row and at the intermission break me and a buddy were talking to him in his tent and bought him some booze drinks . Heck of a nice guy down to earth and humble not some snob that doesn't care for his fans . Supposedly the loudest rock band was supposed to be the Who at one time but that record got broke some years ago by a band named Man O war and its in the Guinness book of world records when i looked some years ago. I've seen priest a lot through the 80s and they always put on great shows and I found out about them when I seen the Judas priest live in Japan album that was for sale at a Walgreens store I think it was and bought it and man what a killer album with those soaring guitars and Les Binks at the time playing the drums . You can see him on this video here playing with the guy they've had for quite a few years after the guy before him got busted molesting kids and is in prison or was at one time . Sucks that Glenn Tipton is sick and just a shell of what he used to be but at least he's still alive to be inducted and is playing on stage .
I'm a wee lad, but at the age of 16, I drove 14 hours there and 14 hours back to see them on their Firepower tour. AMAZING show with Rob's power in spades, but didnt get to see Glenn. :|
Absolutely kills me to see old men still rocking, love it. I’m sure if you asked them in their 30’s if they still be rocking in their 70’s, they laugh and say “lucky if I hit 40”. Way to go guys.
Indescribable how proud JP is representing the HEAVY METAL community! My first concert with them was at the 83 US Festival. (17 at the time!) The last time was the POWER TRIP festival in Cali with a gig or two in between. Metal Gods was the highlight for me that day. Thank you, Mr. Halford and current PRIEST members for an unforgettable performance.
This is really amazing to see KK on stage with Richie and Glenn. I know KK will never re-join JP so this is the best we'll get, but it's magical just seeing this
His voice, after all these years, is still amazing, maybe a little bit different than his younger days, but still awesome. I saw them at the US festival, and they rocked big time.
When i was 14 years old, Judas Priest were my favorite band. Thinking about it now.... they are still in my top 10. When someone says "heavy metal" i think Judas Priest!
Such a contrast between all these aging, bloated celebrities, and what is one of the most vital, vibrant, and legendary live acts in all of metal. This is astounding and it brings a tear of joy to my eyes.
I got shivers just wstching this shiiiii. Favoritr band ever if i was there i would be rocking out like there is no tommprow i dont care what people would think ill be air guitaing and singing
Here in this video, rock'n roll in its essence... rock'n roll will never die, do you know why? Because it was never part of a moment... it is part of eternity!
@@holland736 It's not an age thing, it's Glenn can hardly play anymore due to Parkinson's. Look at how shaky his hands and fingers are. He's lucky to be able to stand up there and do power chords, never mind lead solos.
@@holland736 Is that the measure of a song in your opinion....how difficult it is to play?? I'm a guitarist and I play all sorts of songs from easy to more difficult ones. I've seen JP three times in the last 40 years, and this is a well put together song!
I don't always listen to Judas Priest but when i do my Neighbors listen also.
😅😂❤
Rob looking like a wizard straight outta hell. Badass af.
Halford is 70 years old here. Amazing.
It is a pleasure to see K.K Downing again in JP even if it is briefly
Agree seeing him with Rob, Glen, Ian, & Scott was absolutely beautiful. Really hope they reunite.

Never got married.
It's fun to see non-Heavy Metal celebrities rocking their heads to the Judas Priest's 100% pure metal music.
Seeing Glenn, Ken and Rich 2gether on stage is just beyound amazing.
Bring kk back bye andy

Priest not getting into HOF til 2022 is a joke. Theyve been making great albums consistently since the 70's.
The R&R HOF is a joke.
@@harvywarlock The Rolling Stone magazine popular music hall of fame, I mean rock n' roll hall of fame is a joke.
The HOF isn't about being worthy by the fans, otherwise MANY bands would already be in there along with Judas.
@KalElvis yeah, Priest should've been in there many years before Green Day. Maybe they should sing songs about hating Republicans.

The fact that _rappers_ got in waaaay before these guys, and so many other musicians, proves The RRHOF is a farce.
I’m down with that. Rappers getting in before j,p , Rush and yes. It’s a joke

amazing at his age huh?
Rob talks more than sings. Time to stop live shows.
