    I have also made similar test with 1-3 grams weight on grass measure with tape and with many more casts. The two reels are equal at 3 grams but the Hyper Micro wins with 1-2 meters at 1 gram. I also measured how much line is flowing out of the reels. Here I noticed that the Alderbaran uses 2-3 meters more line for the same distance as the Hyper Micro. This indicates that one should be careful to measure distance with a line counter. The reason for the Alderbaran is using more line is probably due to the heavier spool in combination with more free spinning bearings.
    I have also tested The Daiwa Alphas Air TW and Alderbaran upgraded with Avail spool (4,5 grams) and ceramic bearings. The results for 1 grams:
    1. Daiwa Alphas Air TW: 18-19 meters - Winner
    2. Fishband Hyper Micro: 0.5-1 meter shorter than Alphas Air
    3. Alderbaran Avail spool and ceramic bearings: 0.5-1 meter shorter Alphas Air
    4. Alderbaran stock 2-3 meter shorter than Alphas Air
    For 3 grams they are pretty much equal. I think at higher weights the Alderbaran stock will win and Alphas Air will come last (at 5-15 grams the Metanium 2020 is the king)
    It should be noted that the bearings of the Hyper Micro are flushed and oiled with BFS oil from Shimano. This should be done for all Chinese reels.

    Great reel test! I have watched it several times to understand what I may be lacking in wisdom and ability at BFS I'm still at that point where I'm thinking of getting rid of all of my BFS reels and just plunking the money down for the Aldebaran BFS or the SLX BFS since they have the best braking systems out of all the reels that I have seen you test and I've watched a lot of your videos. Decision making time before my 30-day return policy is up with my Amazon purchased gear.
    I will say though that I did luck out finally and get a good rod that allowed me to cast on my Zephyr about a hundred feet last night, that's kind of a new record. That was with 2.8 g of weight by the way.
    Thank you once again for the hard work you do really appreciate the videos 😁 God bless you and aloha T

    Thanks for another great video.I base most my BFS purchases off the info you and a few other guys put out. You get a sec check out the black knight 2 on aliexpres. I thought it was fake but I ordered it and got it in. The specs are right on. My brakes seem a little weak but I still have no problem casting 1/64 trout/pan fish magnet. Thanks again for all your videos.

      so the spool is 6.9 grams with the bearing?

    • @davidblevins1027
      @davidblevins1027 3 роки тому

      I can't remember if I weighed the spool now or not. It's not as wide as the purple pw100 spool. The overall weight of the black knight 2 was lighter than the pw100 but I think it was just by a couple grams. The black knight casts the 1/64 trout magnet smoother and farther than the pw100. I don't have to adjust my casting placement, I think I do with the pw100,but not much.I've got them both on the ace hawk cu double. The only thing I'm not crazy about on the knight is the almost flat reel knobs. I would say the spool is 6.9 with the bearing but I wouldn't swear to it.

    • @davidblevins1027

      Just weighed the spool, but my scale isn't super exact. They black knight 2 and the pw 100 are spooled with the same line and completely filled. The knight was 8g and the pw100 was 10g. The knights overall weight is 139 and the pw is 142 on my scale. My scale doesn't do 10ths on grams, sorry.

      I saw your video, thats pretty good considering you are new to BFS and your rod is a budget glass rod. I think you will get a little better results once you get your new BFS rod
