I’m sure I can speak for all your followers when I say, we really appreciate all the time and energy you put into documenting these places. Thank you 🙏🏻 Hope you had a great Christmas 🎄
I've commented several times in the past on how much I love yours and Nate's videos. I grew up in the Kmart era when life was little more simple and customer service was a key component in everyday leaving. Companies strive on it. People actually cared about how others precede there businesses. Now there's not much of a concern anymore. When was the last time you watched a tv commercial that talked about there customer appreciation. Don't get me wrong there are still a few establishments that still believe in that principal. Some tell you they do just to get you in the door. But now we live in a time that relishes convenience and technology which has killed jobs and heightened crime. Look at all of the failed Malls as an example. Another wonderful video!! Keep'm coming. YOU MAKE PEOPLE STOP AND THINK ABOUT THEIR PAST AND THEIR LIVES!!
Awesome work! Just got on to your channel and have a lot of catching up to do... Thanks for recording, preserving and keeping the memories alive of such huge pieces of our lives.
There’s a Big Kmart in Waterford, Michigan that is actually near where I live and is about to close VERY soon! As of 12/29/2019, they’re currently liquidating all of their stuff.
Great video on the store Wallie! I came out here on the last day to surprise my friend Francesco. The staff here showed extreme hospitality to us and even allowed us to go around just about every area of the store (except the Pharmacy, which they said the door was locked and armed) so it was a new experience. The manager's words about it were something along the lines of, "Just don't get me in the shots...what're they gonna do? Fire me?"
From Apollo, living in Johnstown this was the go-to place if you didn’t wanna head to Indiana for Walmart. Such a shame, I know it’s a store, but I really am gonna miss it, wish I coulda been there when it closed
I am. I've been working on other videos as well as piecing that one together the way I like it. Also been trying to find appropriate music for it as well.
I'm guessing that Peebles in the background is going to be a Gordmans at some point? Funny how the inside was stripped, but the outside signage is still up. Can't wait to see more in 2020. Love the videos.
That’s awesome I recently discovered you. I’ve watched like all of your videos. I’m near the warren area There are so many places in the area that’s closed I grew up with . Pat catans 422 warren area. I just learned closed last year
Happy New Year 2020 Wallie. Im also recovering from a bad cold. Hopefully Scrooge Eddie's new year turns bad for his destruction of Sears and Kmart. After Sears and Kmart are completely gone, other retail businesses beware- Fast Eddie may be coming for you next!
Had an idea, is there any chance you could look at the “haunted” Kmart in Parkersburg, WV? That building is a dump heap after being closed for almost 3 years
This location is not only still in pristine condition but even still has power! Like a turn key and open up! All of the other Kmart locations are lucky if they just have no power. Most of the other locations are in absolute terrible condition. This location is still in great shape. I didn't even see any discolored ceiling tiles so the roof must still be in great shape. But for how long will this building still in pristine condition? How long long before this locations start looking like the others?
It's to help reduce carts being left in the parking lot and having an employee go out and collect them and bring them back up to the doors. Aldi saves money this way by not having to pay a cart attendant or taking a employee off of their normal duties as consumers are more inclined to return the cart back to get their quarter back. I watched that on a documentary about how Aldi succeeds.
THAT IS AN EXCELLENT QUESTION. THE ALDI STORE IN NORTHERN ILLINOIS ALSO CHARGES A CUSTOMER TO USE THE SHOPPING CARTS. I HAD NEVER HEARD ABOUT THAT UNTIL I WENT TO THAT PARTICULAR STORE. THEY ALSO CHARGE THEIR CUSTUMERS FOR THE SHOPPING BAGS. IDK HOW TO FEEL ABOUT ALL OF THIS, OTHER THAN IT'S A BIG RIP OFF!!!!!! THE SHOPPING BAGS SHOULD BE SUPPLIED FOR FREE LIKE IT IS AT JEWEL, MEIJERS,, DOMINICKS, AND COUNTLESS OTHER SHOPING CENTERS.
I think it less than that actually. I'm not sure. Unless I'm thinking only 58 or so will actually be in the country as the rest are in the US territories.
Lmao I live 10 minutes away from Kmart man no miss them they had a pizza place huge games and toys section I remember going there to get dinner or lunch then getting a video game
It was the owner not ESL Kmart doesn't own their stores so if you can't get a new contract you have to close your store just like when they evict you from your apartment it's life and life will go on.
I think the reason why all the alarms are going off is because of Kmart’s attempt to try to fend off people who try to break in? I dunno. It’s just a theory. Also while you were pointing out the label scars, I saw a RadioShack nearby. Just wanted to point that out.
Keep in mind it is currently just a rumor. I dont know for certain that one is moving in. I'm just stating what I had heard. Only time will tell, I assume.
@@BeefShack I found out from my friend who took some photos and sent them to me a couple of days ago. Then when I saw it in person it just looked ridiculous. Lol
Wallie there's an meatball restaurant in wexford that is planning on closing maybe you can go explore it because the floor is sinking in it that's why they are closing
Another kmart gone thanks to fast Eddie I don't understand how he sleeps at night knowing that thousands of people have lost there jobs and income and you destroyed once great stores like wow 😤😤😤

I wish they would figure out how to bring Kmart back like the did Toysrus. I miss Kmart.
Awesome work! Just got on to your channel and have a lot of catching up to do... Thanks for recording, preserving and keeping the memories alive of such huge pieces of our lives.
If you ever come to Jacksonville, North Carolina, make sure to visit our abandoned Kmart. It’s been closed for almost two years now.

I live close to Waterford and I wish I knew they were still open…. damn.
Hope you get to feeling better wallie ,we appreciate you still shootin vids for us though brother, feel better man 👊👊👊
That alarm has been going off since December 21st when the pictures were taken😂
Are you serious?! Holy cow! Thanks for the photos, btw!
WallieB26 no problem! I’ll send more if anything changes while I’m home!
@@aprillynne4109 great! Thanks!
No one is monitoring it anymore probably.
I would hate to hear it shopping in that plaza or even working at that GNC next door
I thought maybe would be a fire alarm but I don't know but it's just the way it sounds. Anyhow thank you for sharing Wallie.

Alarm going off...look at how fast the police are getting there! 😂
The police department is like 2 minutes away on the bypass
Thanks for the update. It just don't look right with the store closed. I hope to be at BigK in North Canton on its last day and Sears at Belden.

Great video! Stay awesome! 😀
Thank you very much! Stay awesome!
@@WallieB26 thank you!
What happened to the video from the new castle one. You said in the live video that you got a tour of the back and was going to post it.
I am. I've been working on other videos as well as piecing that one together the way I like it. Also been trying to find appropriate music for it as well.
Also, I was waiting to get a couple of clips from a friend of mine who was there all day too.
Ok thank you.
Awesome work on the video

I hoped they have the alarm off by now
The saying "Your Friendly Leechburg Kmart is now closed" is just plain old sad
Sad to see kmart closing nice video wallie
3:37-3:38 I would definitely feed him some fertilizer 😂

The good old days of Kmart are over ! It's a different world nowadays and it's a sad one !!! ✌
I liked that coffee table with the chains--man that was Sweet(Wallie-speak).
Only 500 subscribers away from 20k!!!!! YOU GOT THIS WALLIE

Better call the Ghostbusters cause the Kmart is haunted! Ghosts be playing around. It's all fun and games until the alarm goes off, even for ghosts.
It’s confirmed that big lots and ALDI will be there
That place was completely cleared out for only one reason. It's been leased to someone else. So stay tuned.
Feel Better & Happy New Year!

A haunted Kmart
i hard alarm going on hey thank you for another great video
Aldi is being built, due to open Dec. 2024. There is an Ollies and a Dollar Tree already built.

Its sad to see all the k marts gone i liked k mart i like to be in one of ur videos
I wonder why you have to put quarters in the aldis shopping carts. 🤔
It's to help reduce carts being left in the parking lot and having an employee go out and collect them and bring them back up to the doors. Aldi saves money this way by not having to pay a cart attendant or taking a employee off of their normal duties as consumers are more inclined to return the cart back to get their quarter back. WallieB26 Was the documentary by Company Man?
Yes also nice penguin

The big K here in Oakdale ca just closed I don’t think it had a little caesars because I saw a old menu with pretzels hot dogs stuff like that
I wonder when Wallie will finally get some food
only 70 Kmart stores well be left by February 2020.
I think it less than that actually. I'm not sure. Unless I'm thinking only 58 or so will actually be in the country as the rest are in the US territories.
WallieB26 the one by me in west long branch is still going strong lol
Damn, just damn
That is definitely the fire alarm that is sounding.

Hey Wallie, what do you use to edit your videos with?
Facebook group? I didn't know that. Will try to join today!! :)
When did it close?
Why did the people in shopping center, did not notify the owner of the shopping center - alarm going off at abandoned Kmart???
I mentioned it to a manager over at Peebles but they seemed as if they couldnt careless.
Awesome video wallie
Thank you very much!
Good video dude ur funny too u should be a comedian
5:29 obviously Eddie 😂
It was the owner not ESL Kmart doesn't own their stores so if you can't get a new contract you have to close your store just like when they evict you from your apartment it's life and life will go on.
dunno why a local bussiness would wanted to buy those old register
the good thing is if big lots and adi come in big lots wont remodel it it will look like kmart
The Kmart in bath,ny is closed on December 2019.
To prevent false alarms, motion detectors get disconnected
#Eddieforprison
More like #EddieLampertforJail
All good no matter how you hashtag it! Lol
The alarm is to deter any idiots who would think to break windows probably (giving us such a bad name).
_YEE HAA_
Lol!
I was there on the last day snd the manager let us go in the backroom and film
Wtf is the alarm going off?
Good video, hopefully it will be repurposed some day. 😀
Exploring Retail 27 did a video on it's last day
Did I hear you say Banchode Wallie??
yea he called eddie lampert a benchode
I miss Kmart
Me too. Just yesterday Kayla and I made a last minute decision to go to one and shop. Only had to drive over 2 hours away. 😒

I noticed when I went to the Advance Auto Parts on the hill that just the B and the K logo were on the other day. Thought that was pretty funny.
