    It's not actually bad to leave your queen hanging. You give away your queen in order to play faster, I learned that from Dan.

    Definitely a good idea to analyze your games (win, lose or draw). I believe just playing, playing, playing doesn't help you improve rating much and can lead you to repeating old habits (often bad).

      @@drvofoka7033 Each to his own, but a 30 min game, getting his full thought process, would make for an interesting video. May be I'm biased because I only play long games (30+30), but a 1-hour video with one game, plus analysis would be very engaging purely from a gameplay point of view. But I realise that it may not be as entertaining for some.
      Guess it's a balance between entertaining the viewers and playing good chess.

    19:44 I'm confused why black didn't just take with pawn instead of trading queens? Was breaking the king's pawn wall really not worth being up a queen?

    • @diggoran
      @diggoran 3 роки тому +1

      they end up breaking the pawn wall after the trade anyway. That was just a blunder.

    • @lightios7813
      @lightios7813 3 роки тому +1

      @@diggoran they were attacking so they should not have offered a trade of Queens, but if black took with the pawn NL would not have recaptured the pawn with his queen because he would have lost his queen for nothing. I think black was just trying to simplify because he didn't have a way to involve his other pieces quick enough (specifically his rooks) and was worried he might have gotten his queen trapped and lost it.

    • @diggoran
      @diggoran 3 роки тому +1

      @@lightios7813 That makes sense. To me it was just a free bishop, but I can see the benefit of slowing NL down when he has a better position.

    • @lightios7813
      @lightios7813 3 роки тому

      @@diggoran yea I think he should have just taken the bishop it was a nice line to even out material after sacrificing his own bishop earlier to gain a positional advantage by destroying NL's pawn structure, if he was worried about his queen he very easily in that position could have gotten the queen to safety and tried to take some pawns on the other side or bring his other pieces up for an attack, NL was in a terrible position at this moment and black totally gave away their attack and gave NL the benefit of allowing his king to develop into an almost endgame situation.

    I know you get this a lot in the YT videos. But I think you should play a slightly slower time control just to make sure you are not loosing on time because you spend so much calculating.
    However, since streams "demands" fast games instead of going for really slow games like 15+10 you could try 5+5 (Which is a bit slower than current and will give you some times to not loose on time as frequently) and eventually switch to 5+0 or 3+2 once you are more confident on your opening and tactics/premoves
