Incredible game, lots of back and forth. What a finish. Wish the replays lasted a little longer for post-game banter.
Out of everyone I've seen in a Gyle comment section, the guy who hunts hackers and rated random sfms is not who I expected
great usage, even though i'm nowhere near average mmr in this game and i mostly play with friends and AI, i've always used them like that. cheap long range powerful strikes.

The US should just replace elections with all out galactic warfare. It would be cheaper and less rancorous.

It might just be me, but whenever we're watching a skirmish going on and a squadron of inties fly over all together, I can't help but find it strangely satisfying.
Great play from Lyuker at 1:13:48 with that swarm of scout planes. It distracted Team 1's ASFs for long enough that Lyuker was able to use his ASFs to attack Team 1's strategic bombers. Real shame that Lyuker lost, I was rooting for him :( Great game nonetheless.
The only channel uploads that make me go 'ooOOh!' when I see a new one :).
I'm calling it for Team 1 for having the air superiority edge and pumping out what I think was the 1st experimental. Stask did well at starting his naval rebuild and using his broadswords defensifvely. We'll see if I'm completely upside down! Cheers GYLE and keep 'em comin!!! I really enjoy the nailbiters and when teams/players get the win when they've dug themselves into quite a hole!
I really appreciate these being here, I played Total Annihilation to death vanilla and modded. Without these I wouldn't have a window into how this game is played well, and it would be more difficult to enjoy the spiritual successor I never knew existed. Cheers m8

I think the Soul Ripper had something to do with the double-kill but you were looking at the sneaky ML coming in from the bottom (seen at 36:48)

What an awesome game! So many good plays. I had my money on team 1 at the point you asked, but only because I thought Lyuker's ACU would be picked off if he kept using it up front. Was not expecting him to survive to the end.

That CZAR with 330 kills was the only one of the three to survive the last assault. It never died.
Raymorend shield failurers are why I like to shield out my uef supcoms and keep them around my commander and important stuff.

Can't say I like the transfer of units, early quitting and tech sharing by team 2. I mean, if you start a 5v5 you might as well finish it as 5v5. Same with your starting faction, what is the sense of choosing cybran/uef/aeon/sera if you are going to have all the factories anyway? And what about balance? Transfer everything to two highest rated players? After the only one 1500+ rated player of enemy team is dead?
Im not arguing that it should not be done.
Im just saying that I don't like it, a personal opinion.
Also, great early agression buy Lyuker, great com action. Loving it.
On smaller maps like this full share should have been off honestly, I don't mind sharing units and enginers to maybe get the upper hand tactically

Really enjoyed this one, solid play by the final four and could not predict it until the final stages.

26:52 I think Team 2 is going to win. Team 2 players look stronger, they have much more of the map to develop and a much better eco (especially comparing the air players). The GC doesn't look get very far in, it might even be wasted chasing an underwater com

Did not see the team drop out coming at all. It was all really close until the end though, especially for a 2v4. Even the nuke snipe of Raymorend happened at the same time as the elimination of team 1 arty. Really thought Lyuker was going to turn it around with the tact missile battery snipes until the GC's ambushed him. Excellent game by both teams all around though.
I watched that nuke going 'That can't get all the way, right? Right? RIGHT??'

I had fun memories of Supreme Commander some 20+ years ago... :)
My favorite was playing Turtle with lotsa defensive cannons and such... Then I have the big cannon, Big Bertha was it?, that bombards the enemies from afar sniping their commander...

So frustrating to watch this! Team 1 had it in the bag so many time if they'd just have coordinated a bit better. It felt like every single time an experimental came out of the water in the bottom-right the Czar and ASFs were up in the top left and couldn't cover, and earlier it felt like it took forever for the Czar to start eating Fatties. They'd pushed up to no danger so many times.
Hmm, come to think of it, have we ever seen the team with Czars lose in a Gylecast since they were buffed? Team 2 had a ton of AA, but still couldn't stop both of them...
Are you going to bring back the "Unit Spotlight" ever again?
That ending truly was epic.

I'm not so good at the game so I might be wrong but couldn't you send in about 2 czars screened by some asfs to Lyuker's position and have the czars crash to take out most of the shields?

I'm curious why Stasik didn't just reclaim that early sub. Had several chances to and would have given more time to make a safer escape on his own terms. Am I misremembering the time it requires with T1 engineering?

been a while since ive played this game but when ever i went to reclaim stuff i was always shift clicking so many times to do all the things, is there a mod to do an area for reclaims ?
With Engineers, you can Attack Move or Patrol to reclaim an area. With ACU/SAC you have to use Patrol

53:57 Why T1, and not T2 or 3?
When defending against telesnipe DPS is the only thing that matters, in that regard T1PD is actually the best. Also remember that a telesniper has VERY short range so they'll have to drop ontop of your ACU.
T3 PD has the worst DPS per mass cost, most of the cost of T3 PD is for the range and the fact that per tile it has the best DPS
T2 PD is more useful for UEF because of its splash, high muzzle velocity, and increased range, neither of which matter vs a telesnipe, you actually don't want splash damage vs a teleporter because the splash damage could take out your own T3 Pgens or even worse something like a SMD or a shield gen.
T1 PD has the best damage per mass and also being a 1/2 tile building can fit a lot of places so if you're hiding out in a crowded base you can place them everywhere.
Final note for all 3 would be build times, you can lay out 8 T1PD (aprox 1300 DPS) in the time it takes to build 1 T3 PD (273 DPS)
