Here are a few tiny details that I noticed that made things infinitely better. (This is going to be long) At 2:35, we see Lumine eliminate three enemies, but ignore the fourth. The fourth one went left, behind the wall Lumine was running along, only to reappear a few seconds later as Lumine does a jumping dive shot. At 2:25, we see Lumine barely dodge a lunging stab from behind. Using an empty mag, she stunned her enemy for a second before using a full mag to uppercut an enemy so hard that it's neck breaks before finally reloading we weapon. At 2:50, we can see that that of the big guys bullets hit Lumine's shield as she ran by. Didn't have to do that, but you did. At 3:00, you can actually see the rocket inside the RPG. At 3:20. we see enemies actively respond to seeing Lumine drop a grenade of unknown ability. The halt their pursuit until the grenade's effects are known. At 3:40, when Lumine begins firing the full-auto, she slides back a bit before stopping herself. She obviously didn't know how much kick the gun had, and was almost knocked over. Luckily, she has a quick response time. At 4:05, we see that the anemo from the RPG caused the pyro and electro energy at her feet to collide and explode. Same thing for the two mages. Both times you see Lumine use an RPG, you can see the back-blast. I know that this one seems obvious, but you won't believe the amount of times I've seen it get forgotten. At 4:20, we see one of the shield guy's bullets hit very close to where Lumine was running. The sudden shockwave caused Lumine to lose her balance and fall off the wall. Hitting the ground while her own shield was in the red being the thing that breaks it? Perfect. It means that it wasn't the enemies that broke her shield, it was gravity, a power they could never hope to out-damage. At 4:37, when Lumine jumps out from cover and domes that one guy, the other guy next to him instinctively protects their own head instead of diving for cover. (This is something people have to actively be trained not to do.) At 4:50, you can see the shield guy check on the "heavy-weapons-guy". Most likely to make sure that the heavy was done reloading/clearing a jam. (As seen by the heavy lift his gun off the ground while defending the mages.) Also at 4:50 Lumine's little smirk at seeing the last of her enemies all huddled together, making for one massive target instead of several smaller ones. At 4:45, when Lumine jumps onto the guys shield. She knew he would do that and planned her next move around that knowledge. (I know this because of the smile still present on her face as she is flung away.) At 5:15, Lumine's wink during the final shot. A common thing, but it worked well coming from her. Completely unnecessary by all means, but perfectly in character. Also at 5:15, Lumine shielding her eyes from the bright flash and dust of her final shot. At 5:33, The announcer shaking the camera-man. Again, completely unnecessary, but brought the scene together well. At 6:05, the fact that even though there aren't any tears in her eyes, you could be excused for thinking there were. The voice mixed with quivering eyelids really sold it. Also, the sound her crying while say "no" is exactly what that sounds like in real life. (I would know, I've been in a similar position.) At 6:15, we see Paimon actively panic a little as she tries to console Lumine. That's it.
Little neat that i like is at 4:20 when lumine running on top of the wall there is red filter being shown. Its the same effect when you get to close to the edge of the map
The Rpg Backblast swirling Pyro and Electro is such an insane detail wtf I thought that was just the Abyss Mages doing that. But now that you pointed that out its so freakin cool!
This animation shows that no matter what version of genhsin there is, original, otherworld, dream, or multiversal, Bennett Burst always comes in clutch.
Ganyu being a rocket launcher also made a lot of sense since her long distance charged attack dmg are aoe. That was a smart way to include skills and genshin trivia into life.
This is the best fan made genshin animation i've seen so far. No joke, if someone came and showed me this video, i would've probably said that it is official. Amazing work. Absolutely stunning.
@@QuarkDay his works are amazing, dont get me wrong. But this video is still my favorite. IMO they are both great animators and i cant say which one is "better", but i can say what animation i liked the most🙃
I'm no professional but I have studied cinematography and am a huge stickler for it. You guys did an absolutely fantastic job! Of course the animation work and voice acting is on-point, but it was really the use of the camera that got me smiling like a maniac. Many forget that the camera is an integral part of telling the story. In this piece, the camera speaks, aiding in the flow of the scenes as well as the atmosphere. It was seamless, it was awesome and I cannot wait for more!!! From today I am a Lumine fan! And she is the one character I cannot get because I have Aether xD
@@no_tables I'm currently studying Film in University and I'm at awe with the cinematography. The narrative is clear, the fight choreography is on point, and not a single shot wasted. Camera work is amazing! I wanna keep rambling but it's best I stop lol. Hope I can do something like this in the future❤
My favorite part of this is that without a single word being said, you can tell what every character- both Lumine and all the enemies- are thinking, planning, or trying to do, and what they're doing makes sense. Abyss mages out of commission? Soldiers try to protect them until they're back up. Lumine goes after the gunner type with the machine gun? Shielder moves to protect. The choreography is flawless and tells its own story.
Totally agree with this! I don’t play Genshin, but I was able to naturally pick up how elemental combos work because of how intentionally they showed each one and built upon them.
The attention to characters and their in-game kits is insane. Ganyu dropping a disposable cryo AT launcher, Fischl with her machinegun, Benny with rigged luck and sawed off, this is where love to original shines.
The only problem with this animation in terms of firearm operation is probably her teacup grip and pulling the slide back with a round in the chamber to reload at 4:57. I love the detail of the elemental indicator tape on the PMAGs and the magazine baseplate on the Glock mags though.
@@McCaroni_Sup Regarding pulling the slide back when there's already a round in the chamber: that was definitely intentional. Lumine wanted to fire green rounds (I don't play Genshin, so I don't know the elements), but reloading with rounds left in the blue mag means a blue round is still in the chamber, so you gotta pull the slide back to eject it.
@@starbright4ever Oh, you're actually right. I hadn't thought about how she switched elements, I was too focused on real world firearm mechanics lol. I was wondering why the animator managed to get the shell ejection part right but not the fact that you normally wouldn't pull back the slide if the gun still had a round in the chamber, turns out it was intentional. I was also willing to give some slack since some might see racking the slide regardless of whether there is a round in the chamber to be a reasonable procedure, just to make sure that you don't accidentally forget to chamber a round after you run dry in a stressful situation. Personally I prefer just using the slide release with my off hand (which will either chamber a round or do nothing if one is already chambered) since trying to chamber another round in the heat of the moment might lead to improper operation and increase the risk of malfunction. Of course, it's arguably a good policy to always rack the slide when dealing with pistols that don't have LRBHO, which some pocket pistols don't have iirc.
@@McCaroni_SupI mean, if you were switching to AP rounds in combat while there are still some balls left in the mag, it would make sense to eject the ball round that's in the chamber
Seeing this makes me want a genshin FPS, seeing all the different elements clash, the movement, supply drops, bullet types, etc. it has a lot of potential in terms of fun

@@bobsmithy3103I knew about matching elements for weaknesses or element weakness and resistance charts like in Pokemon but Genshin was the first game where you could combine two or three different elements for a different effect that I knew of. What were the big games that did this prior?
Lumine remembbers her past life as a t-doll. This was amazing! It looked like a professional high budget production! Also, I don't know if Fischl's box summoning a german machine gun was intentional, but if it was, it was a realy nice touch
Imagine this being a floor abyss update. jokes aside the choreography for this was so good. This is the type of animation I'd expect from a studio. Insane quality overall.
Fischl's smug face is so perfect, cute, and adorable. It's all I needed in my life, thank you, can't get enough of it. And that subtle head movement that obviously reads as "no problem" - this movement is so simple, yet so difficult to copy. I'm really impressed. Of course the entire animation is top tier, but that one smug is just so perfect.
Honestly, these animations are so clean and fluid. It really makes me feel like Mihoyo really could put just a few touches more and make their character dialogue feel so much more alive. Like, Paimon and Traveller's relationship feels like it's gotten more development out of these aminations than all of Genshin
@@r3zafulthey just need to allow Traveler to speak more instead of Paimon hogging all the dialogues they can literally just split. NPCs probably has more voicelines than the protagonist.
As an animator that has a lot of experience with firearms, let me just congratulate you on making your silly genshin animation 9,000% better than all big-company gunfights ever. :) Easy 10/10, you guys killed it so hard, like actually holy crap. Shout outs to the music too, it fits so well and it's timed perfectly.

one of my favorite points of detail is this reload at 4:59 when lumine does the hydro swirl - in order to go from hydro to anemo, she has to eject the hydro bullet and chamber the anemo one, and the chamber indicator on the lower receiver even changes color as she does so
The animation for this video is absolutely stunning! Love the choreography and the cinematography. This animation must’ve taken a while to complete, but I just wanna say that it was all worth it! Love it to bits!

I'm not a Genshin fan, but damn, I was grinning from ear to ear for the whole video. Especially loved the music and the last minute or so, when she gets the shotgun. Felt like it was such a high quality video that it could be official. Now I'm craving a game that plays kinda like this.....

Not just Hoyo, but also Nintendo. For example, the best 3D rig for the character Krystal from the Star Fox series that I ever saw was made by a guy called GreyFireFox (now known as CakeInferno). It blew anything that Nintendo made of her out of the water.
This is BEYOND excellent. This is something that, for real, I think majority of animated movie & TV show studios could learn from. This is god tier levels of animation.
I just watched your animation for Hoyofair and it was one of the best piece of fan-animated works I've ever seen in my life. Your team should be sooooo proud of what you have achieved!
I feel like this video deserves to be talked about more. The animations were genuinely incredible! The tension was kept right through to the end, the motion was fluid and superb all throughout, wdym this isn't a high budget 3D animation series? This is incredible.
I went through a lot of the Hoyofair videos and this one is my favorite. It's great seeing Lumine have fun and the incorporation of elemental reactions into the gun play was a nice touch. You also had callouts to Ganyu's bazooka and machine gun Fischl!
So fun and dynamic animation! With much attention to details. The moment when Lumine fires a machinegun @ 3:43: her arm is pushed back really far at first, but then she gets used to recoil and moves her leg a little to more stable position... It looks so natural and accurate, wow!
This almost reminds me of old Rwby fights. I loved this! I normally don’t like the whole gunner aesthetic and combat style but you have sold me. This was so cool!
Lumine's outfit suites her so well and fits the gameplay, it's amazing! i loved the animation this is just so good! plus i love how the Ganyu, Fischl and Bennett represented a party!
I found the fact that Paimon obviously stole all the primogems by avoiding all eye contact with Lumine as she comforted her was a nice touch, especially as it lined up with what Paimon said in the stands: "Win me that prize!"
Movement and gunplay was all on cherry top. Its like inspired from Black Ops and Modern Warfare in one, especially the sidearm tactical reload on the G17. The area feels like an alternative bigger version of Gulag in the MW reboot series. Wall running is good, like BO4, and everything else is all great. Feels like I'm watching Blue Archive, Cod, RS6, and other popular shooter/action games in one short episode. Need more of this please with other characters!
Dear no_tables, you can‘t imagine how many Lycoris Recoil Vibes I get from this, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! This is greatness, you put in so much love and original designs, keep it up and never give up, with that level of talent to you!
This is honestly astounding. The animations are stellar, voice acting is great, the ending could be seen as a sad truth of the Traveller. Always moving to one world or another, even in dreams.
I randomly found the "who gave Keel a grenade launcher" on UA-cam just from bored browsing... and damn am I glad I found it. your work is AMAZING! this is the kind of breathtaking animation that my girlfriend is hoping to pull off someday. she's currently studying in animation school, and it's both her and my dream to see her achieve projects like this.
this honestly reminds me alot of the animations done by the Late Monty Oum (Rest his soul, 1981-2015), it's rare for gunplay to be this fluid. it truly is amazing.
5:13 THAT WINK! Oh my god. This was an absolute joy to watch. From the movements, to the VA, to the flow of the animations and ideas. God dammit, this is something worth living for. This is the Lumine we should get. This is the absolute PINACLE of Genshin animations. Good. Fucking. Job.

At 4:50, you can see the shield guy check on the "heavy-weapons-guy". Most likely to make sure that the heavy was done reloading/clearing a jam. (As seen by the heavy lift his gun off the ground while defending the mages.)
Also at 4:50 Lumine's little smirk at seeing the last of her enemies all huddled together, making for one massive target instead of several smaller ones.
At 4:45, when Lumine jumps onto the guys shield. She knew he would do that and planned her next move around that knowledge. (I know this because of the smile still present on her face as she is flung away.)
At 5:15, Lumine's wink during the final shot.
(I would know, I've been in a similar position.)
At 6:15, we see Paimon actively panic a little as she tries to console Lumine.
That's it.
Little neat that i like is at 4:20 when lumine running on top of the wall there is red filter being shown. Its the same effect when you get to close to the edge of the map

What a tremendous work you've done
You have my respect
My favorite part of this is that without a single word being said, you can tell what every character- both Lumine and all the enemies- are thinking, planning, or trying to do, and what they're doing makes sense. Abyss mages out of commission? Soldiers try to protect them until they're back up. Lumine goes after the gunner type with the machine gun? Shielder moves to protect. The choreography is flawless and tells its own story.
Always love to see mooks being competent and applying tactics. It really helps elevate how badass the protagonists are.
Totally agree with this! I don’t play Genshin, but I was able to naturally pick up how elemental combos work because of how intentionally they showed each one and built upon them.

@@Avetho haha, I thought the exact same thing 😂

The only problem with this animation in terms of firearm operation is probably her teacup grip and pulling the slide back with a round in the chamber to reload at 4:57.
I love the detail of the elemental indicator tape on the PMAGs and the magazine baseplate on the Glock mags though.
@@McCaroni_Sup
Regarding pulling the slide back when there's already a round in the chamber: that was definitely intentional.
