I personally think Orange studios does a great job
Like literally, they don't want to spend much time in 3d but instead in 2d. This style though is like 3d with 2d outlines
Well he more so honors MontyOum and what he envisioned is turning far more into a reality now
Amd is studying it from the ground up and learning and making mistakes to be a better animator
While other studios and busy ones have deadline and pipelines too

The practising of "show don't tell" is phenomenal. The implication of the underwater city and the late notice in the shot of the romaritime flowers was rad.

Futuristic Fontaine being underwater is such a neat concept. Great work, the animation is incredible and the story is amazing! Really loved the ending and the characterizations were on point.

Started building an entire new Xiangling-Navia team a few days ago because of this one video! The dynamics and idea of the duo was too perfect and i pulled navia on the last day of her banner so this felt too good to pass up!

i would love that too, but somehow people would still want updates every month which is not possible with this quality of work
@@eatdoenutdamn man, you do not like the cutscenes of genshin? Even if they are this high quality, i can see that there are not many ingame expressions, but in cutscenes they always delivers those. And there are many iconic cutscenes in genshin with xiao, albedo, nahida, furina, neuvillette and many more.
Just look at the 4.3 film festival cutscene with Chevreuse, Yoimiya and Morrison and you'll see the same kind of quality, with the voice acting being even better than in this, but yeah most of the actual Genshin cutscenes haven't been bad.
Xiangling is an icon, fighting with barely any space in her hands 😭😭

The fighting was reminiscent of old school RWBY back when Monty was around, but the plot was as detailed and heartfelt as an Oda story. Nice job! Really made me like the characters a lot more.

That's because one of the animators (Shane Newville) worked very closely with Monty Oum on RWBY when he was still around.
There was a whole political beef/ fallout with a number of the old time animators who were still around before Rooster Teeth decided to sellout and go woke.
All the shady dealings going on behind the scenes at the time was actually published to the public many many years ago and it went really in depth. This included the fact that alot of Monty's original script for the show were being rewritten after his passing.
If you want another example of badass choreography, search Shane Newville MegaMan.
Really makes me miss the old days of what RWBY could have been.
Edit: For those of you who are really interested with what went down, search for 'an open letter to rooster teeth' by Shane Newville.
This was mostly written from his pov so take things with a pinch of salt. Mind you this was coming from around the time of Monty's death and his divorce.
Idk whether Shane and Dillon are the same but Dilon also worked for RWBY before

It’s giving Miraculous Ladybug and RWBY vibes and I’m here for it. Absolutely perfect, down to Neuvillette vibing with Guoba. 10/10 animation and story in such a short time.

If only Hoyo hired these people to make long good animations instead of reusing the old ones from almost 4 years ago, oh wait they dont have the budget, oh wait they actualy do.
@@The_Grim_Rose getting Hoyo to make the right choices is an exhausting endeavor. Think about it. they could have devoted a lot of resources a long time ago to basically create a constant stream of character skins, ones that could literally be taken right from these animations, and charge 10-20USD a piece for them and that would allow them to go a little more merciful with the gatcha elements/remove them all together and the game would have an even bigger audience and the whales would instead just pay the big bucks to dress up their waifus/husbandos

@@flyerton99 i guess it depends on how you look at it. do you want to reap an easy 500 bucks off of less than 3% of your fanbase by doing the bare mimimum or do you want to make an easy 20-60 bucks off a good 60% of your fanbase by having artists work on cosmetics. I know WHY they are sticking to their current model but it's a model that will bite them in the ass eventually. Treating your customer base with respect creates a loyal fanbase.
Neuvillette finding a legal loophole for Navia is just the best. 😊
Also, i like the joke where Navia and Xiangling is fighting against a rival restaurant's literal Iron Chef. 😂
Its such a clever take on the approach. The story board is very well thought through while accounting character tendencies and following their respective lore.
Also, having the Iudex as the signed witness would make it next to impossible to deny an insurance claim.

This is so good. Seeing Dillon's fight scenes always makes me so nostalgic for the early day of RWBY. And i love the Genshin Characters, so pairing them with this style of animation just makes my day, no month, no YEAR!!

This is a master piece! As a martial arts nerd I am especially impressed with how the fights are animated! Xiangling's kicks were so well done.

The moment I saw Melus and Silver’s portrait hanging on the wall alongside the portrait of Navia’s father, I felt tears well up in my eyes. And at the end, Neuvilette saying Navia’s father would have been proud really got me crying. This is too good and too real. I just can’t. 😭

As a blender user myself, I am amazed how you guys doing all of these stuff in a program, I could just wish or dream to do all these too! The story was great, the musics were in harmony with the scene and the fighting choreography was simply spot on. All the people who worked on this project should be proud, you all did a high quality animation. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely incredible. I know next to nothing about "Genshin Impact", so this was an introduction of sorts, but it feels as though I already know these characters due to how expressive they are. Pretty much everything you want to know about them can be summed up in just a couple of scenes, and that's so, SO difficult to do. It's well-written, but I honestly can't tell where the writing and animating ends (meaning the "little" things that animators add to make their work feel more alive). I love this, and I think a little bit of binge watching is in order. Dillon, Shane, if you're reading this, I've been a fan of your work since RWBY, and hearing and seeing how big of an impact you both had on the show, I just want to say "Thank you", as I'm the writer I am today because of you and Monty Oum. I wish you both and the rest of your collaborators nothing but the absolute best, and I have no doubt you'll accomplish just that. God bless, and have a wonderful day.

You guys just don't miss! The quality of the animation is fantastic and the world building with the characters was so engaging, I was completely invested in the characters and genuinely entertained by the jokes and visual gags the whole way through. Dillongoo is seriously going to be going places.

You put Fontaine under a giant dome, making it an underwater city, beneath an ocean ruled by the devouring narwhal. Which is a great reference to Fontaine's prophecy lore of being completely submerged underwater

This is amazing. the writing, the fighting, acting, and soul clearly shines through your fantastic animation. i was literally glued to my screen when i saw a short of the first minute. definitely going to peruse the channel.
You guys should acquire the rights / IP of RWBY since RT is closing down now, it would be great to see how everything in the story progresses with your teams vision, fun fact is that I fell in love with Genshin Impact because of my fondness of the series (esp the earlier seasons). If that happens it would also quite the poetic justice...

The way the mouths move is actually sooo good, and replicates a 2D feeling I have never seen in most 3D anime.
So many months later and I still come back to this video for a feel good moment. It's so well animated and the story is sweet. makes me tear up at the end every time.

Haven't seen anyone mention it, but Neuvillette's voice actor in this did such an insanely good job I thought it was the official VA. In fact, all the voice acting in this is so good, they all sound so natural. Incredible job to everyone involved in making this masterpiece!
