Love your channel and love my FCX 10. The only thing that has broken so far is the steering servo, which I've replaced with a stock one from another vehicle. I have metal front steering Knuckles, metal pumpkin covers, metal skid plate pumpkins and metal diff lock protectors I have to put on. this little motor is so good it is actually the first rc I have gotten where I have not wanted to rip the stock motor out and replace it with a Fusion Pro
Mine has been great so far aside steering servo stripped out so ordered a 35kg servo and so far so good. Slightly bigger than the factory one so had to get creative with some washers to shim it up a little. Wheel and tires are next for me too. Debating 1.9 or going back with 2.2"
Thank you for this Francis, I was really hoping you'd give us an idea on what might work to make this truck the most capable it can possibly be, in all areas. Like the monster you created when you put the lift kit on the TRX4. It is next on my list to get, possibly after a Bully 2, but it is looking like it will be the FCX10 first. Really excited to make one of these an absolute monster crawler, might even investigate 4 wheel steer too.
@@RCReviewChannel HAHA! While a "Monster Crawler would be awesome, I was more referring to a crawler that is a monster at crawling technical lines. Like what you did way back when, when you put the long arm/lift kit on the TRX4, and had it go up the rocks just outside of your shop. The articulation on that truck was insane, and I actually installed a lift kit on my TRX4, as a result of seeing what you got out of yours.
Thanks for the content Francis, very good as always! Sadly some people are reporting some issues with some of the rig's features... I hope they're the exception. Matt from SBG was quite unlucky with his. I'm really rooting for FMS, I think the less monopoly there is, the better for the hobby and for us buyers. Can't wait to see how far will you make this rig go! Really curious on how good will it crawl once you remove all the cosmetic weight and the "unnecessary" features. 💪
Was at lhs today. They said they started stocking a few fms parts. Enough to fill 2 pegs and was told amain is starting to sell parts. The workers are allowed to order fms parts from amain. If parts not sold thru amain the owner must special order parts directly from fms. Their parts wall is over 30 feet long 7 or 6 feet tall.
The Ascent? If they're priced the same, I'd say that's the only thing they have in common... The ascent (specially the upgraded, latest version) is totally crawling performance oriented. This one is more of a trail truck full of gimmicks for the nerdy RCers like myself. 😁
I have 3 of them, drive 2-3 hours daily. They have been very reliable. The only repair I had was to replace a diff lock screw that had backed out and was lost on trail after heavy crawling through tall sagebrush.
The only issue I've had so far is that the front dif lock cable rubs on the frame when it flexes. It rubbed the outer coating off only after a couple of hours. I also rerouted the wires for my steering since I didn't like the way it was rubbing.
@@BobBob-dx1tv Same here, put some heat shrink on mine , cable tied it back from the left front shock tower, to keep it between the servo and the frame and not try route itself over the servo. I tried different routes but the factory route seemed the best for me, so far it been the mods have held up.
After putting heatshrink on mine to hide the chaffing, I routed it the same way as factory and tied it back from the left shock tower, this keeps it between the servo and the frame and does not allow it to get on top of the servo. If on top, the slack is taken up by it being on top and then it rubs underneath.
I just received my blazer a few days ago. it's been reliable except I've been hearing a squeaking noise somewhere around the axle and servo. any ideas why?
I can’t decide what to buy. Does FMS have a lift kit and the ability to widen the tire width? can you make it water resistant? if so i’m sold and I’ll subscribe if you respond
No lift kit on this. Water resistant.... same as the Traxxas and Axial. Can put the receiver in a ballon/bag. I've run my FMS vehicles underwater for a bit and they do ok for a minute. Then they need to dry out and they work again. Available FCX10 parts are here: www.fmshobby.com/pages/search-results-page?q=fcx10
Ruptures and these are an insane upgrade with brass ring and some printed foams and you added a ton of weight. I just hate the body…fms normally kills that and the one you did up with rear looks Awsome!! But this way not as much. Is it a SORRCA legal bed?
I ended up swapping the body on mine to a proline 2nd gen Tacoma body with proline body posts The only thing that sucks is finding bodies that fit the 324mm wheelbase
I love mine but if your gunna make a great trail truck you have to have everything 100% waterproof or resistant. For me I would never purposely fully submerge any of my RC’s I’ve went through pretty deep water though lost my TRX 4 steering servo that way.
Hey watch your videos and I commented awhile ago about something but I have a couple questions, first I am looking at the Trx4m Bronco what safety concerns are there and how do I avoid problems and what products should I get to solve those problems

Is FSX10 better than TRX4 1979? if FSX10 good. I will upgrade it.
The body is caught on the slider nooo! : p. Having the second one to compare is nice
A toy's worst nightmare is a bad owner!!!
i bought one toninght, will have it next week, seem like the best rtr 1/10 crawler out there for the price
love mine so far... no issues at all
Thanks for sharing as always I was here watching, I love everything about mine. Catch you on the next one.
Thanks for coming
Waiting to see long term durability and aftermarket support 😮
For sure, those are the key factors to look out for

This truck looks awesome!
I think so too!

Monster crawler... I like the idea. Let's see what big tires I can put on this.

great to hear!
Id like to see this against the new redcat. As they are the same price!

Same issue I’m having, if I move it around it will bind up when flexing

the servo twitching like that might not be the servos at all sometimes when your transmitter is low on battery it will twitch the steering
We tested them and there awesome!
Glad you like them!
Where's the best place to get parts for FMS models. I hate payinga ton for shipping.
Have you done anything for the front diff lock cable rubbing. Thank you

mine came with the batrazi beadlocks
What size are those wheels and tires??
what location is this? i am in the bay are and i havent found a place to enjoy my crawler
I just received my blazer a few days ago. it's been reliable except I've been hearing a squeaking noise somewhere around the axle and servo. any ideas why?
I can't say. I'd drop some oil on the CVDs and driveshaft ends.
What is the wheel hex size? Everything for 1/10 scale is 12mm. This is bigger?
Don't have one, but I'd say it's 12mm. Like you said, it's the standard and they would gain nothing on making it a different size. :)

Yeah JConcepts is so good! I think I'll take the rack off this vehicle as that is really out of proportion.

Can a guy get away with 2.2 wheels on this rig without lifting it?

Great point. The electronics are not first-rate and they are usually not submersible in these RTRs
That's not why you lost a traxxas servo😅
I broke a rod end running inside the house on carpet, brand new haven't taken it outside yet
Good share. Plastic broke? The plastics are not the toughest quality it seems.
@RCReviewChannel yeah the plastic broke right around the ball end
@nicktech007 thank you for letting us know. Not on my list. No support and weak plastics. I'm staying with Trx4/6

broke a diff lock lever and FairRc sent me some for free, (front and rear come as a set for $3.99) FMS would do nothing!
dig function looks like a dog dragging his rear on carpet lmao
True story
Still is as loud as the fcx24
It is pretty loud.
