Dude, I've seen a lot of these reaction people on here and most seem to enjoy it just to get likes and followers. It's easy to tell you're GENUINELY enjoying it and its awesome to see someone enjoy the excitement I felt back in the day when I first heard these songs. Stay fuckin heavy bro!
I recommend the very next track, Devil's Island, bro! After Peace Sells,I couldn't help but scream the first line of devil's island!! Back in our day,.. all this stuff was on cassettes... We never got to pick thru, and listen to individual tracks.... It was always Side One, then Side Two.... Repeat!
"This was my life" is one that I never see anyone react to and it's one of my favorite Megadeth songs. Also if you've never heard "symphony of destruction" I suggest that song, it's a big hit for them but if you haven't heard it check that one out. "kick the chair," "die dead enough,"" bodies left behind," " recipe for hate" and "bullet to the brain" are some I never see anyone react to and they are all awesome imo. Anyway, great reaction as always!!
\m/ The bass intro to the MTV News :) I think some of us recall. Thank you for reacting to this :D If "Wake up Dead" has already been done, please react to "My Last Words". An underrated gem. Another great one is the cover of "These Boots" sort of cover . The censored version is funny when you read along the words. I think it was during the PMRC blossoming era.
A couple of things about it this song and album. The drummer was Gar Samuelson. This album was their second, but it put them on the map. This cover is the first proper introduction to their mascot Vic Rattlehead. They didn’t like how the record label portrayed him on the first album, but on this cover the band got what they wanted with Vic. The intro to this song was used for the lead in to MTV news for YEARS. Megadeth did many great songs, but this is still their best.
beyond the "metal image" you have to admit that Megadeth has everything to please . conscious lyrics, catchy chorus, great sound.. glad to see people with good ear.
Those are alright songs but was to commercialized. There's way better songs off of Countdown. Like Captive Honor, Architecture of Aggression & Skin O' My Teeth. Captive Honor by far is the best off of that album & I know that, because it's one of the hardest songs to play on the 🎸. Symphony & Sweating Bullets, a 4 yr old could play them songs. 😆
@@blackcountryme Haha, the whole song is Dave's snarly comebacks of all the people that talked shit to him ! My favorite is- "What do you mean I don't believe in God ? I talk to Him every day." The best pre- Rust in Peace Megadeth song IMO is "Set the World Afire" even better if you listen to the instrumental "Into the Lungs of Hell" before it because it flows masterfully right into it.
I was in high school when this album came out and Peace is one of their most iconic songs. I really love watching you react to all these megadeth and metallica tunes i have have been enjoying for 30 years. Back in the day this music wasn't as "cool" or "mainstream" as it is today and there is no new music released that compares! I think you would like the version of A Tout le Monde(Set Me Free) off the United Abominations album. The original version was released on Youthanasia but I think the newer version has more soul and depth. Love the content!
So awesome that you also appreciate early Megadeth's grittiness. Now you have to get into some songs from Killing is my Business and Business it Good, like "Looking Down the Cross", "The Skull Beneath the Skin", "Last Rites/Love to Death" and the amazing title track "Killing is my Business and Business is Good"

Dave's music is awesome, thank gawd he pissed off James and went on to found Megadeth. So glad to hear he's doing better and back on tour. If you like Peace Sells make sure to check out So Far So Good So What. There isn't a bad track on that album. From the opening instrumental Into the Lungs of Hell to the closing Hook In Mouth there is some fantastic early thrash. There's also his homage to ex band mate Cliff Burton with In My Darkest Hour and his dis track to Chris Poland with Liar, who had been fired for pawning axes to buy heron after Peace Sells. Also the first album with contributions from Ellefson, a very underrated bassist imo. Absolute gems every single track and if you don't believe me give it a listen. You can thank me later. If I had to pick one track I guess it would be Set the World On Fire, but seriously man, if you like Megadeth do yourself a favor and buy this album!
He pissed off more than James. He apparently was a major dick when he was drunk, and they drank a lot back then. Even Dave himself has acknowledged that. Though yes, it is good in a way as we got Megadeth out of the deal and we also got Kirk's work on the earlier Metallica albums that were great.
