Mother Nature Shuts me Down and Leaves me Stranded!

- 30 miles northeast of St. Louis MO I run into a severe thunderstorm.
A tornado warning was in effect for the area but I did not see a warning on my weather radar APP, Radar Now.
As I approached the ugly looking storm, I slowed when I saw reduced visibility ahead and brake lights.
The sound of the hail was very loud, like an angry mob with baseball bats.
Scotty, my 75-80 Lb. Boxer freaked out and jumped in my lap as I was trying to get off the interstate.
As the storm passed, I decided to head for a rest area less than 5 miles away. I did not want to add an expensive tow to my troubles.
The next day I was able to book an appointment for a roadside replacement of the windshield. The dents in the grill will just have to be "personality"...

Safelite doesn't do semi windshields. I'd bet that those 4 wheelers get totalled due to sheet metal damage!

Yes Sir! That windshield was tough compared to all the cars out there. There were news reports about that incident. They actually closed the interstate so the tow trucks could get to work and had around 100 cars damaged. You can see their windows in my video, but even more on the news where the hail punched all the way thru their windows!

Yep! I was able to stay on my load. They scheduled it for Tuesday but I lost my next one. No big deal though as there's likely similar loads to get back to the $$$ areas.

Golf ball and some bigger. There were reports of golf ball to tea cup size in the area.
