This is old footage from last August - I'm trying to get caught up for when I start hauling with my semi. It's in the shop now getting an overhaul.

Great video but we all know that even with a light load that trailer and being in a 7.3 you weren't going as fast as the video showed 😂. Those mountains from Asheville to NY are brutal. I did more than my fair share of those runs from here in KY to FL and then all the way to upstate Maine last year. Never again will I do a 1700 mile trip. hauling for over 12 years I have learned not to leave chains and binders unlocked or anything for that matter. I always carried a pistol and bear mace with me another thing there at the end of the video that looks like my neck of the woods lol. Keep on trucking and take care of those pups they are your best friends and God is your co pilot. If you need anything ever you know where I am

I just got home from a 16 day, 5850 mile trip. Did two 72 hour resets... first in San Antonio with family I hadn't seen since '95, and the second in Canton Ohio over the Labor day weekend. 3 long hauls were Rocky Mount NC to San Antonio, Laredo TX to North Canton OH and Akron OH to Kissimmee FL. Two shorter hauls started the trip. As for my speed on my hotshot truck, I cruised at just under 75 as that's the speed rating of the 14 ply trailer tires I used. On this trip, I cruised right at about 70 using the cruise control. And this truck makes it easy with plenty of power and awesome Jake brakes. Only ever downshifted 1/2 gear from 13th to 12th and the jakes were so strong I had to give a little throttle to keep my speed up. Never had to hit my service brakes and most hills I stayed in 13th the whole way. Most of the bigger hills were on 77 thru West VA and Fancy Gap in VA.
