I moved to florida 10 years ago. No regrets. All these neighborhoods are great and so are the property taxes. I go up a few times a year to see family and can’t wait to leave. 2.5 hours on the expressway from jfk to Northport last trip. Ugh!

the home in Long Island are not to expensive , but the Property tax is outrages.
I like it near shopping fire depts polize medical not overcrowded or much too open I grew up in floral park village full service costly it depends how or what you do north Hempstead is cheaper auto insurance enough was said on this in my past remarks besides it depends on what one wants your abilities to earn money health it is more things than average volks realize

How is the public transport ?
The Long Island RR is pretty accessible to most neighborhoods as there are multiple lines that lead into NYC. Also, we have bus service along major roads which are also easy to get to. I have helped many ppl find a home who need ccess to NYC, its just a matter of find the towns & neighborhoods that are a good fit for your family
