Nice to see preparations for a brand new railway station at Wixams to the south of Bedford. About time that a new railway station is planned to be built on the Midland Main Line.
There's huge construction project taking place not much further down the line you may be interested in flying over. It's at napsbury between St Albans and Radlett. They are well underway with the groundwork for the new railfreight interchange. They have nearly constructed a huge underpass ready to slide in to allow new tracks from the new terminal on the west side of the MML to go under the and join up via a new junction.
More uploads on the station please I live down the road from here 😆 been trying to nose and figure out what they have done so far be wicked if Aldi did change the plans for a supermarket 🤞🏼
I will do more once things start to happen. The Aldi thing is just me thinking out loud. There is nothing to base that idea on other than they do own the land. It would be nice not having to drive into Bedford to Aldi.
Good to see Wixams development getting a station BUT speaking as a resident of Bedford I dread to think of how many weekends we're going to have to put up with buses to Flitwick whilst they do this! Once upon a time if there was major work like this trains still ran but at dramatically reduced speed and I don't recall any accidents. Yes I am all in favour of safety but lets have a train service for everyone else as well, is it that difficult?
I wonder if Universal will be making enquiries into whether the car auction house would be willing to sale up. I wouldn't be surprise a major hotel chain or two have as well.
Really hope the 'future' Universal train exit transport hub will go on the Universal side rather than the Wixmas side - really doubt residents will be happy with the amount of traffic passing and it is a real ache of a journey to get to the park from that station.
@@ProjectUniversalUK That makes the most logical sense of not having to travel all the way down the A6 into Wixams new train station. I could see the locals in Wixams being upset with the amount of traffic going in and out there daily especially the traffic for the proposed theme park & the film studio nearby.
Bigger dump truck is called an ADT (Articulated dump truck) couldn’t quite make out the manufacturer, lynch runs various trucks so could be a Volvo, Bell, CAT or komatsu somewhere around 25-30 tonne I would say.
@@PsychicLord No its true, JK describes Paddington station with its wooden columns. She has admitted the mistake..Yes the trains go to Scotland but the description was about Paddington.
To be honest I wouldn't want universal studios to be built because 1 it destroys the countryside 2 will turn Bedford into a tourist hell hole so Bedford will become worse then it already is 3 traffic would be terrible and would defeat the point of roads like the A421 4 Bedford Borough Council need to get their priorities straight like sorting the very bad roads sorting out most traffic lights in Bedford because they don't work properly Bedford Borough Council need to stop being so anti cyclist they need to put in better cycle lanes and need to let cyclists through town centre I'm someone who's lived in Bedford my whole life I was born in South Wing Wixams Station will be nice though
@ProjectUniversalUK I was told by some builder guy in town centre that it would bring a golden age to Bedford but all it would do is turn Bedford into a worse place it might bring more money into the town but do you think Bedford Borough Council are going to use it properly I highly doubt it If its confirmed that universal is going to be built I'm moving out of Bedford I'll go to Central Beds or something like that
No one does better content on empty fields than you my friend. Liked and subscribed 👍
It's the extensive training I've been through. Thanks for the sub 👍
Some days the fields have sausages. Don't miss out on those!
@6:47 is EMR train (soon to be retired) Meridian Class 222 - to Sheffield or Nottingham.

Brent Cross West opened on the Midland mainline last year if you wasn't aware 👍 it's a brand new station situated between Hendon and Cricklewood.
Project Universal + Train Spotting fun!
A match made in geeky heaven!
Just keep the trousers up mate. 👀😱🤣🤣🤣
Keep it up. I'm hooked. 👍🏼
Glad to hear it!
The 'Harry Potter' platform (9 3/4) is actually situated in Kings Cross Station which is next door to St Pancras.

It's a bit out of my range. This is just a hobby tbh and I've got a real job too so I just about manage this but I appreciate the ideas.

It's a good question. I wonder how they will work it, the rail will have to be lifted for sure to accommodate platforms between the lines.
Oh hey it's that guy who followed me on Twitter
Whoo Toast Ghost!

Unlikely
A series of bridges across that pond as a entrance into the park with two huge fountains on each side?
I like that idea, like a bigger Thorpe park bridge. However, Universal do not own that land.
Chicken George !! The goat of chicken !!
It's just amazing!

I'm pretty sure it's will have an entrance each side.

Jade 2 is Plywood.
Thanks

Thanks for the input Max :-)
Wixhams is a really weird place name. It's not often you have an S at the end of a name
That was an EMR train
Yes, a class 222 but I didn't want to get to geeky. The other trains are class 700's. But don't tell anyone I know that 🤫
Platform 13 3/4 is at Paddington station. JK got them mixed up!
Good knowledge, thank you.
No it is not; poor knowledge.
@@PsychicLord No its true, JK describes Paddington station with its wooden columns. She has admitted the mistake..Yes the trains go to Scotland but the description was about Paddington.
So is this confirmation that the park is a go??? 😲😲😲
No. The station was being built anyway.
@@ProjectUniversalUK I choose optimism. The park will be a go. 😉
Labour are the party of misery so wouldn't be surprised if they throw a spanner in the works.
I suppose now they have started work, the section 106 money is technically safe.
remember panny does not have harry potter. its next door at Kings cross. caroline
Thank you
