As a doctor and med student who doesn’t care about drawing, pressure sensitivity and just need a reliable consistently accurate pen for pdf annotation and note taking, usb c pencil is just perfect. And charging via the usb cable for 30 min once every 4 days is not a big deal breaker for me. Come on, we make it seem as if everything is wireless, iPad itself has to be charged every day with a freaking wire, same with the Watch AirPods and my iphone.. so saving 4K rupees by choosing usb c pencil over the 2nd gen is a good decision for students and medical professionals like us who don’t care about artistic capabilities of a pencil. And cheap pencils of Amazon like kingone that I previously used for annotation and returned bcoz of inconsistency wrt to palm rejection and accuracy are no good bcoz they imperfections and inaccuracies .
@@Worthless. The thing is, you don't need a ipad pro/air for day to day usage. Ipad 9th gen or 10th gen is enough. You don't get Apple Pencil pro for these ipads.
I’m gonna be honest my biggest complaint is the new need for a cable, I liked the ease of just plugging in the gen 1 I wish they just carried that over and changed to usb C. On top of that no extra pen tips? Whack.
i wish the other end of the apple pencil would function as an eraser. Just the like the real thing! I would also like to see a double sided apple pencil. This way you could assign different tools to each end.
I understand why they made an Apple Pencil with usb C but if you have an iPad with the charging port on the side why not get the 2nd generation Apple Pencil the reason as to why I would go for the non usb c one is because I can just connect it to my iPad and charge it that way and my iPad case has a pencil holder built in
as someone with the 2nd gen pencil, i can't begin to stress the convenience of double tap. being able to switch tools without finding the tool on the screen is just convenient😂
🐬. I have now an Apple Pen 2 for my iPad Air 4th gen. Should I buy an Apple Pencil now, I would buy the cheaper USB-C version. I use it primarily for note taking, so I don’t need all the ‘artistic’ features. But I do like the better writing experience, mostly better than the alternatives.
I feel like lots of parents are going to disappoint their artists kids by buying the cheapest option without knowing anything about pressure sensitivity
I have the Logitech Crayon V2; which I got a month before the USBC Pencil was released. Had the USBC Apple Pencil been available, I’d have gotten it instead, ‘cause I just need to take notes & sketch out the occasional design idea in Notes & Freeform.
I begrudgingly feel like, I need to buy the Apple Pencil usb c. I upgraded recently to the 13” iPad Air and for some reason Apple decided that the Apple Pencil 2 just didn’t need to work on it 😞 so now I have a paperweight..
Fact that I can use the usbc pencil while it’s charging that make it the best pencil… with the others u have stop what you’re doing to attach the pencil when the battery low
Pressure sensitivity helps with literally everything, most brushes can be improved by adding pressure sensitivity to them, blending is also helped with pressure sensitive brushes
I'm not even sure if that's what the use case is. The 1st gen pencil is presumably what schools would have already, and both the 9th and 10th gen iPads are able to use it.
I would have loved a pencil that works with iPhone, especially with the plus size models. Seems like a wasted opportunity to not make the usb c version work with usb c iphones.
It sounds to me that the USB-C pencil is a pointless ‘new’ version. The Apple Pencil 2 was everything we needed and apple decided to give us a crappier version. Why take away the capability of charging it via magnetic connection on the side? How is manually plugging it in any better? Then why take away pressure sensitivity. That’s stupid!!!
@@the_teckeroo Huge advantage is that they already have the first gen pencil, and it's not like the 10th or 9th gen iPads can't use those. They work just fine with both. I’m positive the stylus that came with my Microsoft Surface did that. It was so intuitive
I have the 10 the gen and it was perfect for me. I wish it had the pressure sensitivity but other then that it's great 🐬
Thank you I’m gonna buy it
Apple Pencil 2 is still the best years later!
The Apple pencil is not a person. Therefore you need to add "The" in right in front of the PRODUCT name
@@anthonyanthony2783 The way he said it is absolutely correct. There's no rule for adding "the" before nouns at the beginning of a sentence.

Ipad 10 not compatible
you should try the apple pencil alternative with the ipad 10 and check if the magnets stick magnets .
Why cut pressure sensitivey tho. Such a weird choice
So do u need to carry a usb-c cable every time u need to connect it, like after the iPad dies
Thanks for the video. I’m satisfied with my 2nd generation pencil. Blessings on your day 🐬
You are so welcome!
I just ordered my Apple pencil usb c for my 10th gen iPad. So excited for it to arrive that’s why I’m watching these videos 😂

Of course. I meant if I wouldn’t have one yet
Where are the links to the apple pencil 2 alternatives????
the first links in the description
This was very helpfull thank you!
I feel like lots of parents are going to disappoint their artists kids by buying the cheapest option without knowing anything about pressure sensitivity
Can you mark up textbooks and documents with this?
This feels more like a competitor for the Logitech Crayon
the crayon is cheaper than this
what app did you use?
The only reason I didn’t buy knock off styluses was because of pressure sensitivity. This is pointless.
I have the Logitech Crayon V2; which I got a month before the USBC Pencil was released. Had the USBC Apple Pencil been available, I’d have gotten it instead, ‘cause I just need to take notes & sketch out the occasional design idea in Notes & Freeform.
Can you really charge the usb-c Apple Pencil & use it at the same time?
No.
Well at least not on procreate. Or maybe I did it wrong
@@nickhernandez7263 how is this? What happens when you try to write while charging in this sense?

I don't recommend penoval. after 1 semester of use, the connectivity of the USB charger is not connecting properly.

Yes
As a drawer I like to blend not use pressure sensitivity

I have a ipad 6th gen with 1st apple pencil and i want a new ipad 10th gen all i want is a pencil that dose the same as the 1st gen but with magnets
Looks more clean than the 1st gen but they need to make the price more reasonable
I really don't wanna buy the alternatives as I question their reliability
if you see a stylus, they blew it.
but I guess this is the "Apple Pencil" which is not a stylus at all. lol.
I intend to buy an apple pencil, but I think I will get the Apple Pencil 2.
The esr bootleg pen is way cheaper and better lmao. U can just double tap the cap to use it

So it is just Zagg pen without a touch tip and more expensive. Oh yes, double tap
Nice presentation, but I really think Apple needs to include both the USC cable and charger block.
