Thanks for the chat :) Watching this reminds me of eating dinner with Michael Hurst one time in NZ(Iolaus on Hercules and Xena) and watching steam rise from him as he ate the most spiciest of meals LOL. How can you all eat that much spice? I guess I'm not made for spice, I'm the one looking for the most wimpiest salsa's in the store LOL. Loved the video.
If there is such as thing as an award for promoting Texas, Tim should be given the gold medal! He's made everything look soooo good - it makes me wanna go there!
I laughed so hard when he said his wife asks for the shells for crafts - You have to be a crafter to appreciate that statement - totally something I would do too! :D
I love Ninfa’s! She started a restaurant dynasty her grandsons carry on. I had to go to the pantry and get my last bag of Beaver Nuggets to snack on! Now to make a pilgrimage to Houston once this Covid thing is over.
For those asking when this was re pandemic, Tim was inducted into the Museum of the Gulf Coast on January 22. I doubt if anyone's wearing jackets outside in Houston today. ;-)
Thank you for sharing! CONGRATULATIONS on your induction Tim!!! My favorite part is when you guys were told to walk by fast, so you did! Lol.... I had to watch it 3 or 4 times! Made me laugh! And Tim gets his sass from his Mom! Love her! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
How I'm dealing with it: when Tony left, people were sad (understandably), but J is such a credit to the group and we love him. So whoever fills that Earl shaped hole in our lives will hopefully be just as fun!
@@ringostingo5892 Oh, definitely. Other great examples are when Home Free found Adam Chance, or a more controversial example is Avi (PTX) leaving and Matt coming in. It wasn't like the original, but I doubt it could have been better. I'm confident that VP will find the right member.
💜Tim, you have the most amazing voice, even just speaking, let alone singing!!💜 no offense to your gorgeous wife of course! And your choice of food? Heck yes!, I'll be there y'all! (Someday, I'm stuck in Ohio) lol
Love these videos and yes gumbo done anywhere else there is something missing and mostly it is because they are trying to imitate something they have not grown up with. Keep them coming guys.
Hilarious!!!! Tim, you are a natural comic. I was born and raised in NW Florida, and lived 5 yrs in New Orleans where I gave birth to 2 daughters, and helped restore a French Quarter bar called My Brother's Place to it's former glory. I enjoyed 5 mardi gras. I would move back in a second if I could live in the Quarter. Your TexMex video was frankly one of the funniest ever. Love you to pieces as well as all the Home Free boys.
Love, love, loved this! Thanks for sharing the food and more about the life of Tim! As a 5th Generation Texan and big fan of Tim & Home Free and Texas food, I'm definitely gonna visit these restaurants!! And great job on the video, Jimmy! Thanks, Y'all!!!
I am sooo sad that I wasn't able to make it to the premiere.... work was horrible today, but this made it all sooo much better!!! I love seeing a little bit of your lives every time you share them with us... Thank you very much!! Love from Peru!!
Congrats handsome Tim>inducted! U really deserve it! From ur beauti- ful, deep, 5 range singing voice, to your amazing lyrics/wordplayto your musicianship+ awesome sarcastic personality & HF bro-ship! 💜💜💜

For real?? Nervous? Just some advise, don’t listen to all that fake news,go on with ur life, use common sense, stay home when ur feeling under the weather but over all ENJOY life,go out in the country smell the fresh morning air,& u will notice God is the same yesterday, today & will always be❤️🙏🏼
Oh wow i was distracted at the beginning and thought he said he was "eatin'," with "his beautiful bride." Next I pick up the screen to see them feeding each other w twisted arms, at a table for two. Im thinking, I didnt know he was gay.
This was hilarious! Tim, you are a true, good Texas boy making Texas proud, and Darrell cracks me up with his food comas. I'm a Texan with deep Wisconsin roots. Watching Darrell eat Tex-Mex from Ninfas (yummy), drink sweet tea, and shopping at Buc-Ees is so funny. I love all members of Home Free but must admit that Tim Foust is my fav. I never thought Richard Sterban could be beat for best bass vocals but Tim did it! Keep making great music and enjoying Texas food. Try Buc-Ees chopped BBQ sandwich...it's good! Thanks for a good laugh!
The largest Buc-ees in Texas!! I miss Texas!! Y'all gott go in the fishing section there....they got some killer deep sea rods id love to own.....gotta come back and do some more surf fishing. Rock on TEXAS!!
The chips that often come with chile con queso are flour tortillas which are cut up and fried. Sadly, most places give you too few of these so claiming one or more when dining with others is a highly contested event. Once they are gone, you then switch to the plain corn tortilla chips. Some Tex-Mex places make their own tortillas, some several times a day. Often, any excess or ones not at peak freshness get cut up and fried to make tortilla chips.
Great video and some great places to go and experience the wonderful foods in Texas... I do hope you u try some of that good classic Texas BBQ at a place in Austin called Salt Lick....
That wasn’t chili con queso he ordered, it was chile con queso. Chile is the general Spanish word for peppers. A popular chile dish is Chile Rellenos which usually uses a large but milder pepper, the Anaheim chile pepper. You prep them by charring the outside then peeling the skins off. You then slice them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and stuff inside. You then stuff the peppers by adding a stick of cheese. Many just use cheddar but I suggest queso asadero, a white Mexican cheese for a more authentic flavor. These are then coated with flour then dipped in a basic egg & flour batter and fried in a pan with about 1” of oil, shortening, or (for a truly authentic flavor) lard.
Tim- you are from Janis Joplin’s hometown! If you’re from Port Arthur that is! Ive seen her live in the 60’s . And I love Home Free. Btw, please have your Booker/ manager get you guys a gig at the Golden State Theater in Monterey- old Art Deco style from the 20’s - Or the Sunset Theater in Carmel- a beautiful mid-sized venue in a gorgeous town. This blog was wonderful!
that's the Bucee's that we stop at going from Houston to College Station (my daughter's in college). It's a must stop location every time. The pecans are absolutely the best! :D
Not sure whether I'm drooling over the food, or witnessing an restaurant where there is permission to eat in, or being able to meet friends without restrictions
OMG! I have been binge watching you all's videos for like the last 4 days I think. Really enjoying the music and love the a Capello. It just has such a pure sound to it.
I moved to Ca 10 yrs ago. I miss tex- Mex. Everything looks so good. The closest to tex- Mex is on the border. Fajitas are my favorite. Enchiladas another favorite.
If he thinks it's strange in Houston, he should go further down the coast. I lived several years in Corpus Christi with light jackets and we had Christmas dinner on the patio.
I'm from Maine, this is making me want to move to Texas even more! Once I'm old enough maybe I'll move to the south. My friends are never going to hear the end of what they call an 'obsession' whatever that is. lol
Texas is a different beast man. We’re technically part of the south, but honestly there’s a complete cultural difference between Texas and Mississippi. Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico(and others) are more of a cowboy culture whereas the “south” is more of a hillbilly culture(speaking stereotypically of course). The key difference being that Texas can be way more socially progressive in places, and just more diverse in general, whereas that isn’t the case for the deep south or really most of the country. I’ve grown to love this state.
Thank you sooo much for this, its been my dream for years to go through America eating this kind of food. This is the closest I will get to it, cooking it in Australia just doesn't make it lol. Keep it up please, its a delight.
oh LAWD, he went to Buc-ee's!!! I visit the Katy one at least once a week...my fave from the kitchen are the pulled pork wrap and the monster reuben on pretzel bun, then I load up on those Sizzlin' Saltines, the BBQ flavored cheese bits (basically BBQ flavored Cheetos), the Habanero pork rinds, and the Buc-O's (BBQ Funyons, basically)...I don't think I ever get out of there for under $40!
Awesome video. Y'all are just in my backyard. Know all those places & eat all that same great food only it's homemade !! I'm across the state border in SW La! Nederland is just an hour away.
Is Tex-Mex in Texas way better than anywhere else? I'm originally from Oklahoma so had some pretty good Tex-Mex at On The Border or Abuelos. Never been to a Chuy's. Love Tim's laugh. His speaking voice and singing isn't too shabby. 😋 He is amazing.
OMG at 13:55 ..... I so remember that gold nugget bubble gum ..... It is AWESOME ..... Don't know that they still sell it in Australia tho ..... I luv u Home Free and Tim and everything u all do ... It blows my mind .... I could sit here and write a 10 page story but wat can i say only that the man up above himself created u 5 angels and sent u all down to this world we live in and told u all to teach the world how to create music and sing it .... and that is exactly wat use have done .... Just AWESOMELY AMAZING and I luv e all along with the whole world .... Luv from Australia ... 🙏🥰😍🤩😘💘💖💗❤🩹 ... This episode was great!😂
I've been past Buc-ees many times on the way to Dallas, but have not yet stopped in.
If there is such as thing as an award for promoting Texas, Tim should be given the gold medal! He's made everything look soooo good - it makes me wanna go there!
I loved their friendship. And you can see where Tim's sass and sense of humor came from.
Shoutout to Jimmy! This looks like it was a real "food show".
Amen. GOD BLESS TEXAS. I love your music. I’m from Minnesota, but thankful for the Texans today and their sense of independence and freedom.
I laughed so hard when he said his wife asks for the shells for crafts - You have to be a crafter to appreciate that statement - totally something I would do too! :D
Not only do I want to listen to Tim sing I could listen to him talk
Thanks for sharing your Texas favs with us, Tim. It's so awesome you're a Foodie. :)
You should do this for each member. Each member gives a food tour of their home state!
You can’t have a Texas eating video without Buc-ee’s!! The best part about being on the road in Texas!
Amen!
So very true!
I doubt if anyone's wearing jackets outside in Houston today. ;-)
Lol I was about to ask Tim to put on a mask.
David Preston LOL! 103degrees today. LOL
Watchin Tim eat is a whole enjoyable adventure in its self!!!! You can tell Tim is Southern when he ordered fried okra!!
Thank you for sharing! CONGRATULATIONS on your induction Tim!!! My favorite part is when you guys were told to walk by fast, so you did! Lol.... I had to watch it 3 or 4 times! Made me laugh! And Tim gets his sass from his Mom! Love her! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Big Red!! I grew up in Indiana drinking Beg Red and I am so happy it's on Tim's 'good' list!!
I love Fridays around noon always excited to see what's next
I came here after crying about Earl and VP

Ya'll look real fun to hang out with. Now I miss Texas - and I've never even been there! Howdy from Alberta Canada - the Texas of Canada.
If Tim ever gets tired of the music scene, he's got the skills for food tv :)
AMEN to THAT!!!!!
Being from Houston, Ninfa's is an absolute must!!!
Whoever does the captions is the unsung hero of these videos
Interesting side note - we have Walmart in Britain, but it's called Asda.
💜Tim, you have the most amazing voice, even just speaking, let alone singing!!💜 no offense to your gorgeous wife of course! And your choice of food? Heck yes!, I'll be there y'all! (Someday, I'm stuck in Ohio) lol
You are making me hungry. Just like Diners, Drive in, and Dives. You could host a show, and see how they make the food.
I think the Home Free Boys should do an episode of guys grocery games. Lol. That would be. EPIC!
Love these videos and yes gumbo done anywhere else there is something missing and mostly it is because they are trying to imitate something they have not grown up with. Keep them coming guys.

And they have THE CLEANEST bathrooms!
the one in Katy has the longest self driven car wash in the world, according to Guinness Book...
I love seeing&hearing Tim slurp that oyster for all the wrong reasons. 😋
I grew up in California and we had shredded meat a white cheese and usualy green sauce. You could ask for red sauce but i liked the green best.
