All the brothers we lost over there and in Iraq died for nothing. We left them something like 40 billion in gear, the worst crime of the US federal government was the tier one nightvision we left.
if I recall the Kevlar helmets are for sharpnel protection & not really vs bullets so I bellive their mentailty was no need for it, unless situation changed, obviusly these guys has been in the field long enough..the Sweds didnt send as far as I recall young 18 year olds to die in AFE, they sent Company or Battalion Sized units, but u got the memo if going or not going, was crazy back then as I recall...
That the Swedes on that patrol are mentors to the Afghan National Army isn't that clear with the subtitle missing some information. In the series, we follow different Swedish units. In this episode, the mentors and some mech. Inf. Yeah, I reacted too to them (the mentors) not wearing their helmets. Even if there may be no danger, it sets a bad S.O.P if the mentors do not lead by example. But sometimes we will not use helmets even if there is imminent danger. The helmet's protection may be outweighed by the advantage your situation awareness gets by not using them. In that case, the situation awareness isn't challenged enough to skip helmets.
Hi Craig, was it? Have you picked up any of the Swedish language or certain phrases after watching so many Swedish documentaries & clips about them? Fun to know if you have =)
"the Afghan peace process is taking steps forward" and then a giant ass step backwards! But on the other hand... ARs are now considered terrorist weapons in Airsoft games.
Thank you for your service.🇸🇪

The distance is too far for an AK from where they are positioned. Minimum risk.
After this you should really watch the Norwegian series Norge i krig oppdrag Afghanistan
Na, it’s useless.
