Im always baffled by how anyone was expecting the people of Afganistan , who more or less lives 1000 years behind ous , are expected to not only work as a nation but also withstand a foreign invasion from Pakistan aided Taliban.
While at the same time USA still keeps military forces in both Germany AND Japan to this day in 2024 . That is almost 80 years yet Afganistan was to make due in less then 20
Was this a problem mostly with the ANP or was it also the same with ANA? I get the feeling that ANA was a bit better managed?
My experience ANA was better on all levels. ANP was totally unpredictable and unreliable.
Watching this I don't think anyone from a Western country could really understand what was and is going on in Afghanistan. Nothing makes any sense at all.
War for peace is as stupid as sex to keep your virginity.
The war is to end a conflict, that then hopefully leads to peace.
To make "war for peace" work in reality requires extreme force. Allowing Fighters to change side only makes them more prone to follow the strongest side whatever ideology they have.
The Nazis gained power (1930's Germany) because the Socialdemocratic leadership was attacked by the Communists.
The Communists used brutal force to discourage opposition to their ideology and hence gained supporters that wanted to join the strongest side. The Nazis was better organized and made sure that they outnumbered the Communists in all and every way, when violence happened.
Communism and Nazism doesn't differ much so the Communists became Nazis (wanted to belong to the strongest side). Nazi Germany lost WWII so the Nazis became supporters of whatever benefitted them.
The "inclusion" of egocentric murders has never worked but we keep trying. Stop trying!
