    This up and down walk takes in the single Munro, Schiehallion from the Braes of Foss car park. The weather turned out to be better than expected and some limited views were possible from the top.

    This was my first Munro and was done as nothing more than a day out with some friends. I never planned on doing mountains, but it awakened a love of the hills that has never left me. Schiehallion holds a special place for me. Thanks for the one Charlie 👍

      Yes,Charlie, well placed for access. It was the first mountain I learnt to recognise because you can see it from lots of places with its pointed summit.

    Good path on it now Charlie been over 20 years since i was last up Schiehallion , the weather looked not to bad i gave this weekend a miss as the weather was all-over the place . ATB Ally

      Hi Ally, Its a top that's seen a bit of change through the years with great access. The iffy weather certainly didn't encourage you to drive far but we're glad we decided to go and get something done close at hand. Cheers

      Hi Brian, We couldn't quite believe the forecast but they were certainly right about the temps when we hit the top. A better day than expected and it makes a change being back in the house before lunch. Cheers

      Hi Paul, The temperature swing from a few weeks ago is quite amazing. We now seem to be in a period of showery/claggy weather ☹ Hopefully, it will settled back into drier conditions soon. Cheers

    Hi Charlie nice wee mornings leg stretch for you :) You are correct about the path its looking in good shape now a lot better than the battered trig point. I always wondered if there was one there at some point.

      Hi Alistair, There wasn't much opportunity for hanging around due to the temperature, so it was a quick circle of the cairn and back down again. Quite enjoyable and worth the effort for the morning. Cheers

      Lots of talking to passers by on the top and way down so approx 4.5hrs loop

      Hi David, Your spot on, the wind is the killer. We targeted this top in the hope that it would shelter us from the worst blasts on the way up and it actually wasn't as bad as expected. Cheers
