I think you the main benefits or decrements for each weapon type you should have mentioned are the amount of required skills you need for they to be efficient. It's quite different to talk about making a Long Sword, Insect Glaive or Hammer build, when you can easily slap the core offensive skills (CE, CB, WE, AT... etc) while having room for comfort skills, compared to Bow/Bowgun that require specific skills, you have to commit to very specific builds, and have to disregard any comfort if you don't have good decorations. The worst offender is Lance, which has lower damage per se, consumes a lot of sharpness, being a counter weapons means Guard and Offensive guard are expensive core skills, chip damage is a real issue, and you even have to make room for Flinch free because everything and everyone will trip you. I mained Lance and love it, but man, Capcom gimped it hard in World.
The other thing you should have talked about is how elemental weapons will need to farm a lot more, since you need a build/weapon for each element, making progression a lot harder.

Early Lance may be a little bit hard to use but late game builds offer everything needed. You heal so much with the Lance with every poke on health augment that you rarely need to sheath your weapon compared to other weapons so the chip isn’t really an issue. It’s part of playing the Lance to hang on the monster as long as possible so the only real comfort you need is guard so you don’t get knocked back that much. Of course attacks that knock you away even in power guard are annoying and Fatalis/Rajang are a real pain but it’s not like the Lance is missing out on anything in Iceborne.

Good overall intro video for players new to MH as a whole coming into World, and definitely will be sending this to some friends who plan on playing the game some
I do think a few points are neglected, though some of them are a much for newbies who aren't quite knowledgeable to understand the nuances. Some points include (but are not limited to):
    - LS having some weird hit detection on its higher risk moves (e.g. Iai Spirit Slash countering but not dealing damage, Helm Breaker connecting but being interrupted if being hit while landing)
    - GL having fixed damage on its shelling that requires other skills to increase its damage (e.g. WEX, Crit Eye, and Crit Boost not affecting shelling, Artillery being almost a must)
    - LBG and HBG being semi-dependent on performance for certain ammo types (fixable with Tic Rate Fix mod, but not everyone opts to do so)
    - SA having inconsistent hop distances for some inexplicable reason
    - IG having comically bad aerial MVs, rendering its aerial playstyle much harder to get value from

You did neglect to mention that the glaive's airborne attacks have natural mind's eye, too

yea i think people like to get down on the IG, but they often forget just how many little unique interactions and intricacies it has. its very very strong, i just think most players dont know how to actually use the weapon properly.

Quick question if iceborn was my 1st monster hunter game should I be let down if I hit roadblocks in the game that last a couple days?
I try not to rely on multiplayer much but occasionally I have to or else I will not progress fast.
I use a hammer most of the time I could last 40 minutes solo with Barioth and someone joined at the last 10 minutes and helped me finish him off.
What I struggle with is getting rank 10 weapon's with fire element.

Hammer is a raw focused weapon. You should think of the element as a nice bonus.
And 40m hunts are abnormal. You can expect an average of 15-20m. Are you targeting monster weak zones? Hammer always go for the head, and with its high damage, I usually find myself stunlocking monsters into stun chains.
Iceborne also heavily encourages you to use the tenderize mechanic. Use it wisely to create weak points and give you more critical chance with the skill Weakness Exploit.

The biggest con I have found being a bug glaive main is that it sucks at hunting the rajang with. Or I'm not that skilled with it

The only weapons with an easy time against rajang is crit draw greatsword and dual blades if you aren’t a pro vet.

    • @Broomtwo
      @Broomtwo 5 місяців тому +1

@@blackyvertigo I am sort of new to the game, and only used sword and shield until I got to furious rajang, but it took me 45 minutes to kill it. I have now swapped to dual blades, which I had never used before, and on my second time playing them ever I killed furious rajang in 25 or less minutes. Its a like a night and day difference, I love sword and shield but it is so much easier to get high damage uptime on dual blades and dual blades also has better burst damage on top of it.

"These are the pro's and cons to X weapon in Monster Hunter World Iceborne" -> gives description -> "These are the pro's and cons to X weapon in Monster Hunter World Iceborne" -> next video starts -> "These are the pro's and cons to X weapon in Monster Hunter World Iceborne" repeat. Literally sounds like you made a short for each weapon and then just mashed them together, the constant repeating made this unwatchable, well done

putting "I was lazy and didn't bother to make this video less unwatchable" in your description doesn't make it any better though ;) not that 99% of viewers actually read the description either@@aymodaslacker8852
