This version of Harvey Dent (Two-Face) is better than Tommy Lee Jones because he along with Jim Carrey were trying to one-up each other and also because "Batman Forever" was a dud after McDonald's threw a hissy fit after "Batman Returns" premiered and the fact that McDonald's pressed WB to make Batman more family friendly (didn't end well with both "Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin" being duds with "Batman and Robin" being a complete fiasco).
I think Two-face was right about one thing: You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Harvey always had reason about die as hero or live long enough to see himself become Two Face. And most importantly, Gotham's morality who is under the chance.

But those of us who know the character, know that one of Harvey's personality traits is due to his dual identity. Having to commit crimes, and plots that revolve around things involving the number 2. Which is exactly why he went second in the coin toss.
I don't agree with that statement. I believe that we ultimately choose who and what we are as people. Everyone has trauma, that's apart of life, but whether we allow that trauma to dictate the course of our life, I think ultimately that is a choice we make.

Harvey dent was too overconfident and when the odds were not in favor then his emotional breakdown turned him into Two-face

Batman told Harvey why Joker chose to corrupted him and had Rachael killed because Harvey was the best of the trio (Batman, Gordon and Harvey). Joker wanted to show the world that a self righteous man like Harvey can fall and be corrupted.

The fact that he continues to “make his own luck” removes the duality from him and makes him more like Tommy Lee Johns Two-Face then the comics book version, and the one from the Arkham games.

Yep Yep, we know about Joker this and Joker that, etc. And what about Aarón Eckhart's iconic portrayal as Harvey Dent/Two Face on TDK?
If he stayed true to his principle, he could have been OK. Even as the "Two face", if he stayed true to his principle of putting the lives of the guilty to the chance of the coinflip, he could have been OK. He was not OK because he went above and beyond, continuously breaking his own rules, like with the killing of the driver, or threatening a innocent child.
This video covers that perfectly. Harvey Dent let his desire for revenge override his own principles.

Secondary yes as far as antagonist goes but if you really pay attention it’s technically his movie as it was about his rise then fall into villainy and the entire film was building up to that last scene

I always saw him as an over confident snob trying to pass it off as charismatic. He wanted the bad guys to pay...not the good guys to live...he wants revenge and on top of that not from the real culprit but from those who he deems are wrong...like the schizophrenic hench man of joker he was about to kill....pretty dumb...in my opinion.
Hot take: Aaron Eckhart's portrayal of Two Face was the only best thing in an otherwise a grossly overrated movie
