Just want to echo some of the comments here. This was a great discussion. Kudos to Jamie and guests who steered a great discussion. With a few tweaks the national leagues can be a huge success.
I must disagree on the point that teams like KLUB Kildare and Cavan/Monaghan shouldn't be there. These are counties with a great footballing tradition. These national league are a huge step to having a senior team and given time, every national league team will also have a LOI senior team.
The national league should be expanded at county level too. Laois should have a team, Meath should have a team, Leitrim/Roscommon maybe, Clare, Tipp (north and south if you want). More teams = more divisions. More divisions = more teams playing at their own level and fewer 11-1 thrashings. In the future then these could be LOI teams.
Hopefully someone from the FAI is invited on to give their perspective. Again, this is the best LOI podcast episode to date. Well done all 👍

What makes me laugh the kevins fella asking why clubs post final scores at unde 13s LOI under age level but st kevins have been doing that for years even at and u11s and under 12s age group you just have to check there web site under results and go back and see all there posted results at under age level .

To be honest the LOI has been a huge success right the way through from u13s . the pitches you play the venues the coaching and much much more ,way better than ddsl or ndsl standard .st kevins were the last club to join up with a league of ireland club because they wanted to protect the money they were making off the back of kids going to the uk,now its changed and have to say for the better. u13s last year was a huge success and a big club like st kevins joining up with bohemians fc they didnt come any were near the standard required and finished the season badly u13s level .
kids are playing the best kids around the country at top level .
