No, they went to a friend who specializes in softbills. despite recently being classified as finches, they are most definitely tanager-like and I got worried about caring for them.
oh gosh, I don’t keep any old footage so that would be a very boring video. Best I can suggest is check out the finches being finches playlist and that will cover species I have been working with in last few years. Long time ago, I kept many other species when I first started- but again, no footage.
@@Echosaviary Haha well, listening to someone telling me about animal behaviour is never boring to me:) I am thinking about buidling an indoor aviary, so i am looking for an interesting finch that will be quiet and easy going. I will check out that playlist. Thankyou!
Can you tell me the name of the mixture you use to make artificial rocks? I know you use materials that are not harmful to birds, and I don't know anyone who can give me good advice. I think a few larger vertical artificial rocks would fit nicely into your setting. Birds would like to stand on them, eat and even build a nest in them. For a creative person like you, it would not be a complicated task. Your aviary is so beautiful that it is difficult to add anything to make it more beautiful.
the simplest explanation is Amazon.😁 However the truth is they are mostly recycled from second-hand stores. hobby stores, floral supply and amazon will be places to look.
One of the best things to wake up to and get myself started to get my aviary chores done.
I’m so excited for the new birds!
Same here!
Love watching you building, and creating...one of my favorite things to do in the Aviary
Thanks Doug- I do enjoy trying to figure out what works for them.
Me as well An, nothing more rewarding than changing something around and getting their stamp of approval...
Wow.. The effort you put in to keep the aviary clean and to be consistent is an commendable job
It’s not as bad as it may appear 😁
I’ve watched twice. I enjoy how you share both your method and thoughts as you go.
Thank you Robert- you always make me feel less like an idiot 😁
Brilliant 😊
😊
❤❤❤
What type of finches are you getting ❤
Not telling 🤣🤣🤣.
Not fair.....
Love your videos
thank you, thats very kind of you to say.
@@Echosaviary Absolutely.. I run 2 UA-cam channels and both are subscribed to your channel. You have great content 👌
Are the chlorophonias still around?

You made a video about which finch species wont make you go crazy. Can you maken another one of those with species you had in the past?

that is called habitat-black. it is a 2 part epoxy putty often used for creating artificial reefs in aquariums. works a charm.
thank you for your kind words, I am almost ready to start putting the rocks I have back into aviary for this year. stay tuned!
@@Echosaviary Thank you so much and I look forward to your new videos! Greetings from Serbia!
Please - where do you get the grasses and branches?
