    First of all to anyone that thinks I'm low balling people in this video , they have never shopped at Ben Thanh , the quality of goods here is very low. On Average they pay 20K dong or less for this stuff. So please stop telling me I should pay full price for this stuff it simply isn't worth it. If you don't like how I'm bargaining then watch another channel .

      They wouldn't sell it if they were losing money, its all part of the selling game.

      You aren’t undercutting them at all. They get this for crazy cheap. I am Vietnamese and have been to Ben Thanh dozens of time

      Nothing wrong with low balling. You have to do so in order to get the best price. Low ball, if they don't take it then go to another shop, simple.. lol

    I'd be curious to know what they will charge her for the same items if she went alone. Maybe that could be a future video ?

      More because she doesn't bargain , most this stuff can be had in other markers for 50 to 100k

    While wandering through Ben Thanh I spotted a pair of shoes that I really liked. I checked them out and they looked real with good stitching so I bought them. The next day I went out exploring HCMC and after about 3 hours the shoes just fell apart. It was if the sole of the shoe was dissolving. But on a good note, I also bought a "Saigon" T-shirt with a cool motorbike design that I still wear.

    Ben Thanh Market is very tight. Not good for social distancing. Thanks for sharing. You are right, more shops are opening.

    There'e a lot of rude sellers at Be Thanh. Some of them give outrageous prices, I usually walk away and find nicer vendors. I'm impressed by some of them being able to speak many languages.

    • @jaychoi-yoshida6040
      @jaychoi-yoshida6040 3 роки тому

      ...trickster...funny though how Vietnamede need to cater to westerners visiting Vietnam who don't bother to learn the Vietnamese language. But when Veitnamese or East Asians shop in the US, white and black people are very rude and condescending towards us. And worse, if we don't speak English, we are ignored and shunned. So much for white privilege in Southeast and even in East Asia.

    This place looks a little shady and not the cleanest. It also appears you & the camera are about as welcome as a cheetah at a rabbit farm. Maybe it's just me, plus the high pressure to buy. Hopefully the purchases will be worth it.
