Depends on the type of direct back lighting. If it is low-quality direct lighting, then a better-quality edge lighting can give you better results. Also, for this TV it depends on the lighting conditions in the room. If there is enough bias lighting in the room, it should compensate for any blooming.

Yes. You can connect the Apple TV 4K to the HDMI 2.0 port. It will work fine. You will get 4K at 60 hz instead of 120 Hz which should be fine since the Apple TV is a streaming box. If you connect a soundbar to the eARC port, you should still get Dolby atmos sound as well.

Hey @Idiot Box, I was planning to buy a TV. I currently have 2 options: LG QNED 83 65"(Cost around 95k) and Sony Bravia XR X90L 65"(Cost around 135k). My requirements are: 1. Set-up Box connection(Tata Play) 2. For little gaming purposes(PS4) 3. Watching a few TV series/ Movies. Fyi, I am ready to buy the Sony XR X90L but the only thing stopping me right now is that the TV was launched in 2023(Technolgy has been upgraded since then) & the TV screen is Full Array LED. My questions to you are: 1. What is the difference b/w Full Array LED & QNED? Which one is better? 2. Which TV should I go for from the above two? 3. Any more suggestions in the range of 90k-150k Your response will be highy valuable. Thanks!
considering your budget is 150K, why not consider the 55-inch Bravia 7? it's a fantastic TV and launched in 2024. in fact, its the next review I am working on. but if size is important to you, then go for the X90L. It has full array local dimming which will work better than the QNED 83's dimming technology. To answer your questions, What is the difference b/w Full Array LED & QNED? Which one is better? - Full array dimming is second to OLED as it can dim different zones on the panel to give you better blacks leading to better contrast. QNED is just the panel and backlighting technology and has nothing to do with the dimming zones.
@@vibhuuu-bgmi7292 An OLED is great but if you have direct light coming into the room or on the TV screen, the OLED isn't the best with reflection handling.
@@araviyndan8267Qned 88t has new processor ...correct. But they removed 2 features in 88t which you find in Qned83. (Sports Alert & Art Gallery Mode feature)
It has mini LED's on the edge. QNED refers to the panel technology. backlighting refers to the "light" or the LEDs in the TV. the TV can be backlit or edge-lit. Edge-lit mini LED has the potential to be better than a traditional backlit LED TV.
QNED 83 is the successor to the QNED 81. Basically, the 83 is a newer model. The 83 comes with the α7 AI Processor 4K Gen6 while the 81 comes with α7 Gen5 AI Processor 4K. The 83 supports Dolby Vision, 81 does not. The 83 has HDMI 2.1 ports, the 81 does not.

Hey @Idiot Box,
I was planning to buy a TV. I currently have 2 options: LG QNED 83 65"(Cost around 95k) and Sony Bravia XR X90L 65"(Cost around 135k).
My requirements are:
1. Set-up Box connection(Tata Play)
2. For little gaming purposes(PS4)
3. Watching a few TV series/ Movies.
Fyi, I am ready to buy the Sony XR X90L but the only thing stopping me right now is that the TV was launched in 2023(Technolgy has been upgraded since then) & the TV screen is Full Array LED.
My questions to you are:
1. What is the difference b/w Full Array LED & QNED? Which one is better?
2. Which TV should I go for from the above two?
3. Any more suggestions in the range of 90k-150k
Your response will be highy valuable. Thanks!
considering your budget is 150K, why not consider the 55-inch Bravia 7? it's a fantastic TV and launched in 2024. in fact, its the next review I am working on. but if size is important to you, then go for the X90L. It has full array local dimming which will work better than the QNED 83's dimming technology.
To answer your questions,
What is the difference b/w Full Array LED & QNED? Which one is better? - Full array dimming is second to OLED as it can dim different zones on the panel to give you better blacks leading to better contrast. QNED is just the panel and backlighting technology and has nothing to do with the dimming zones.

I am confused in the technology of QNED does QNED has mini lights on the black side as i am looking to buy QNED 88 which only has Edge light
It has mini LED's on the edge. QNED refers to the panel technology. backlighting refers to the "light" or the LEDs in the TV. the TV can be backlit or edge-lit. Edge-lit mini LED has the potential to be better than a traditional backlit LED TV.

Whats the difference between QNED 81 vs QNED 83 ?

All 3 TVs are good for your requirements. If you want to side load apps or watch content from a pen drive, then the Sony is the way to go as it runs on Google TV letting you side load apps and play content via VLC. The other 2, don't have that option.

I have bought this tv 1w back and it has backlight blooming around the corners and it looks really bad when watching movie at night. This is going for 65k in croma. Just purchased it. While it doesn't have the 500 dimming zones, this is still a lovely tv
Awesome. Do let me know what you think of it after using it for a few weeks.
How many dimming zones it has? Do you notice white bloom around subtitles, especially in dark scenes?
@@sourendhoommail dark scenes aren't the highlight of this TV. You'll notice substantial blooming. This is an edge lit panel, not a mini LED one. But wherever there's colour involved, it's a beautiful machine.
@@MozaffarMansoor Thanks for the info. I'm confused between this and samsung q70d. Does turning off the local dimming makes the subtitle blooming experience better? Does this play 4K .mkv movies from external hard disk?
@@sourendhoommail this is a better tv than the q70d on picture quality and HDR. I haven't tried 4k movies from external drives and the Blooming will remain
Should i wait for the Newly launched LG QNED 88T which is almost same or go with Lg QNED83??? Getting it for 1.03L 65inch at reliance digital??
you can always keep waiting and something new will launch every few weeks :-). Having said that, go in for a model that suits your requirements and a screen size that fits your budget :-)
