Yanagi got bodied by Baki, but nearly won the war by poisoning him and nearly ended his life and fighting career in the Raitai Tournament. Yeah Spec lost against Kaoru, but he still gave him a massive scar, and got the jump on Baki three times and even knocked him out once(But Baki wasn't prepared to be fair). Doyle may have lost most of his fights, but his fighting spirit never truly lost, but instead made him humble and made him a friend. Sikorsky on the other hand barely made a dent to any of the top tier fighters he fought.
