Team 2 strand twist!!! Mine lasts about a month which I hear is about how long locks last before they need maintenance. Two strands are a wonderful alternate for us guys who don't want to lock our hair. Love the braid at the root deal too. It's looks amazing.
Locs really is the way to go in life if you don’t want natural hair routines and hella maintenance. You get length, styles, uniqueness from if you start as a high top/full head/taper/Mohawk it literally can be any fade as your start. Not to mention you can have thick, thin, a few, a lot, and still get 2 strand twists and braids and barrel rolls with them. You have to be ok with your beginning stage but after 5 months YOU’RE GOOD. I’m on my second set of locs and I don’t see myself going back anytime soon if ever.
Facts. Best hairstyle ever and don’t really need maintenance as often as other hairstyles. But like you said, you basically can get any of the other hairstyles while having dreads… Besides an Afro lol.

It’s like I kinda regret a little but da same time I don’t at all cause you only gonna attract a small a mount certain of females with braids but that’s in my perspective lmao . When I had my hair I got tired of it while I had it , got tired of waiting 2 weeks to get it braided , got tired of waiting to wear my du rags & fitted hats . Now that I got a ceaser I could wear my fitted & du rags any time I want and I feel like me having waves would be a mature look for me . I cut my hair because I was going through da same problem king brill had to deal with , with his hair which is getting that back taper being months behind. Idk if I got somebody to braid my hair I’ll grow it back. But waves is more better for me
@@nazzswift8114 I appreciate the response and I'm with you I feel exactly the same. My hair grows pretty fast and in april it'll actually be two years that I've been growing it. I started off with coils until my hair got long enough to braid and I mostly do box braids because the regular braids hurt my head lol. You know how sometimes people braid too tight. I like the look of two strand twist better but they just don't last very long. I've been contemplating getting locs since that's the only thing I've never had. I'm in the same boat with you though I can't really wear my du-rag and hats the way I want with long hair and I miss that aspect. Do you get more attention from the ladies with your haircut or when you had hair? Really been thinking about going to the drop fade kinda like nas has his now. I'm still very much undecided though.

I ain’t gone lie I found your channel a year or two ago when I went through my curly hair phase and I’m glad I did because seeing how your hair looked I wanted to copy the wave ngl. But that led me to actually taking way better care of my hair and transforming them into two strand twist so I think you did have a some part to play in how black men wear their hair.
Watching this with two strand twist in my hair. I get my twist done with Beeswax and they last 2 weeks and more, no unravelling. I love to wet my hair so by 2 weeks I'm into twist out mode then full wash and repeat.
I only have a type 2c (near 3a when it’s short) hair and have dreads right now but I still found this video entertaining. If the rest of your content looks like this then you’ve earned a new sub.

box braids are getting outplayed, cornrows are definitely starting to make its way up to, it's new, it's different and it's eye catching plus it give u that confidence boost, waves Era definitely coming back if we don't go on lock down this summer, I'm also seeing people with starter Locs nowadays so that's definitely gon have another hype round this summer, cornrows waves and dreads are the styles for 2022 anything else is just outplayed now
@J King not box braids bro, I said cornrow braids, cornrows are steadily gaining popularity, Box braids are already popular tho, it's a fashionable hairstyle (esp in europe) which looks both clean and tidy, so most people find it attractive, if people stare at your bros braids in public then they definitely find him either hot or attractive cause of them, braids are unique and they stand out, if you're thinking of braiding then go for it bru 😂
Feel u on tha shrinkage wit the 2 strands, my hair go past my shoulders but with 2 strand shrinkage my hair is nose level🤣🤣 my hair still look beautiful wit the shrinkage tho so I’m not complaining🤷🏾

Lots of black athletes are doing dreads...in my opinion for copycat reasons. Trending reasons. I been doing braids since the millennium. Cut it for military and build my own business but got it back too. I do my own thing with braids
If you want yours to last months and you have time, I mini twist my hair all over, then I will twist 4 at a time, then coil the last half inch of my hair. They'll last a good 4-5 weeks. I just spray the roots with water every week.
I started my loc journey in May of 2021 and my hair is already locd I just wait gotta let it grow now then I’ll be able to do style and I have high top locs

I got two strand twists, they remind me of when I saw a snake 🐍 swirling up a tree 😂 it’s cool to watch. But I’m going for dreadlocks. I usually take them out every 3 months. At that point they’re tightening up but my new growth be beast mode.
