@@elwinbu5926 that's true however you have to compare the wheelbase or length of the car and weight. The 5 series isn't as agile as this car due to the size. this car competes with the 2 series or 3 at most (due to the 3 series' size). Megan RS is around 172in whereas 5 series is at 195in, huge gap This is alot shorter than even the 3 series at around 185in. PS: I'm talking ab the cornering speeds not straight line acceleration.
Renault is THE hot hatch king,freakin fwd hatch thats faster then porsche 911 and 911 gt2 and ferrari f50

Great drive uncle! I hope you can bring back the camera view from one of your previous drives where you showcase the POV of the drive from the middle passenger seat. That view was more stable too and can see how the car actually climbs the hill from within the car! Helps put things to perspective imo.
Couldn't mount the cam because the seat has no headrest. My mount is designed for the headrest. Sorry.

Just for request, can u put the cam shot at the meter cluster, and for any manual car, at the footwell? You had done this before. Bring more adrenaline by seeing the revs up and down. Cheers
Actually he explained before - He doesn't want to put camera on the speedometer so that not to attract any Love letter from Abg PDRM. What is more important is the view of the handling, not the speedometer.

Thanks to you video I made it up Genting for the first time in decent time a few weeks ago, but I swear your downhill speed is insane. Uphill I could try to replicate your driving, downhill is out of my league even though I'm in a Golf GTI.

This is not the trophy r with carbon wheels brakes no rear seats that did the record. That car is limited production and costs twice as much as a type R going full race car, the type R is still the faster better car for the road and track use for the price
Adrián Sesmonde Sangiao I’m surprised of the big difference in price. I’ve seen the megane R. Distinctive styling and nice. Type R? Terrible styling and just not appealing at all. I’ll pick magane R. I think Renault is pretty good in making performance car.

I would say the Mégane RS is in between the GTi and the Golf R. It will s better than the GTi and a little lower than the R. If you want a manual, the Mégane RS is the only one that offers it.

I got myself this car 2 years ago and must confess that I enjoyed every moment driving it. Btw when do you wanna test drive Alpine 101. Some power output but a lot of fun than this I believe

This video is so addicting! As I was watching it, I felt like that I was driving this Megane Rs myself. I am planning to buy one but the only concern I have about this car is the fixed paddle shifters. What's your opinion on this? Did it bother you a lot during the ride?
Not at all. They are larger since they are fixed. You will get used to it.

I am in a dilemma between a Megane RS280 and FK8 because I couldnt test drive the latter car which is no longer available by Honda Malaysia.
In terms of pure driving experience, car and driver connection, chassis dynamic and feedback with manageable power as well as the sense of reward for revving the engine, which will be a better choice?
Does the 4control feels unnatural for a FF car?
Also the rear torsion beam against the rear multi link in both cars respectively, how do they fair one another?

Right foot. Did not do any left foot Braking for Mégane - not necessary for the driving style - brakes might have overheated.

did some research in google then found out it’s one of Nurburgring king car.

Not really. We were going quite fast. If you mean the long right hander with the fork left, we were very fast, and the road was bumpy
Uncle, since you have driven the Type R already...which one you prefer when come to cornering?
The two behave very differently - the Megane tucks in when you turn, and the 4Wheel Steer system helps. Overall, they are very close, and with these type of cars, the longer you drive them, the faster they become. I drove this one up 3 times - what you saw on video was the first one.
Basically as we drive we become more confident as we get used to the car. You don't want to go into the bushes at any time, so the first time up, we are always feeling the car, and also have plenty of reserve - it may look fast, but we are actually going 'slow'.
To get a true comparison, we need to close the road, and drive both the cars up at the same time, which is impossible, so we drive them up immediately, one after the other, and to be fair, we have to drive each one at least twice, withing the same time window - just sharing my views.

Kinda interested in Renault Subscription service. As I don’t think I will want to own this type of car for long period. As they are usually for fun experience. I already have a Sedan for family and runabout :)

It is a less powerful version, with a 1.6 engine, 205 horsepower.

What a suprise! You didn't use the multi change down function,in manual mode it lets u drop few gear down simultaneously.Only get this when you hold down the left hand gear paddle.

It is dangerous to slow down to a crawl, especially at the bottom and especially if you have another car behind you: have you ever thought the other car or truck may suffer brake failure and hit you from behind? I have seen that happen. That, is defensive driving - think ahead.

If you can get a Megane RS manual, that would be a great cat. It has more power, and is manual. The GTi would be a great all rounder car as it is also powerful, and has a DSG that is more prectical.for day to day use.
How would you rate the Megan compared to i30n and gti?
The horsepower and torque figures would be a good place to start comparing. All these cars are built with performance in mind, so they will all handle well: definitely all will be fun to drive.

If you can, get both. If you can't, just toss a coin or draw lots. Both are great. If you like autos, then it's the Mégane.
