I love when you or other reviewers compare the scent to a color. It really helps understand the overall feel to the frag that we have not smelled yet (if so) . Extremely helpful.
Have most of the Nassamato line this being a close 2nd to BA as my favorite. The Orto line is pretty unique too.Boccanera and Stercus being my faves.Great review!
If Dirty English had the performance of Duro, it would easily be ten out of ten...I compare these two because they both are leather manly scent but DE is more pleasing.
Huh maaaan. Duro is a wild luberjack!!!! The most masculine parfume in all categories for me. Im in love with that fragrance. This is a kind of contraversial scent, when im wearing this im not overthinkg about a response or compliments. Its a scent for my nose and for my soul. 10 ot of 10. WOW!
Basically on me; a cedar tree that's been coated with some good tar oil, a ton of beaver skins, some raw alcohol and a dusting of coriander - chopped down and fell on my face
Great work Marc. I only own BA and love it, but seriously thinking of Purchasing Pardon but still wonder if it's worth it as I still have LIDGE . SO hanging out for your Pardon review😬
yea,, this one, one of those , 'ones' xD As always, respect to robes for his passion and detailed takes though; but you can trust if 99% of the scent public don't like a Frag, it's going to do pretty damn smashing on here xD
I have a slight distrust of houses that don't do 100 ml or at least 75ml but maybe one day I will get around to checking these out. Great review Robes. Shout out to M. Zayas!
This is one of my favorites. I have compared this to a sample of Montale's Aoud musc & A.m. has a dirty opening that was off putting compared to the opening of Duro witch is pleasantly sweeter. Other than that they're the same fragrance. If you don't mind waiting to leave the house for 30 minutes for the grungy opening to end, A.m. is fine fragrance but in my opinion Duro is better
Will I still be able to smell the fragrance that I spray on my chest through my clothing? ( I don’t usually wear button down dress shirts;) I usually spray behind each ear and the back of my neck, and frequently go anosmic since most of my fragrances are Eau De Parfum or Parfum concentrations? Do I need to apply EDP and Parfums to much hotter areas of the body, to encourage a “blooming” or “blossoming” effect of the fragrance? How can I enjoy the nuances and scent progression throughout the day without going noseblind?
I love it so much its really has amazing scent but honestly its not special and thing that i really hate about this fragrance is not to change on skin just has one scent in all the time.i love it but its not good for my age its too heavy.
Love the review but I think you over thought the note breakdown. A lot of the weird spicy pimento note you're getting is the synthetic oud that is in it. Also gives off really dirty vibes which I think is why you think there may be patchouli. It's a fucking beast though but I've had people tell me they hated it
Projection is a moot point with this brand, both excellent. Smell wise both excellent in their respective genres. You need to smell em both and your nose will tell you which one you like best.
These only cost 118 euro retail in The Netherlands. You North Americans really get ripped off. A 75 ml bottle of Aventus is around 150 euro online, 180 retail. The best is that all of these brands are available as samples. So this is how I actually enjoy most niche fragrances. I own Herod, Aventus, Millesime Imperial, Green Irish Tweed and Virgin Island Water. Any other niche fragrance, I order as a sample whenever I want to. Just 4 euro for 2 ml. Perfect. The money I save, I rather spend on nice clothes, which are tailored and make my body shine at its best.
I shop at Skins, Parfumerie Benegas, Parfumaria , Haramens, the list goes on. For MFK's Oud refills for the Globe Trotter it cost 95 euros, here $140. Heck, Heeley's new Eau Sacree goes for 147 euros , here $230. You can order it straight from Heeley themselves. Shipping and conversion it's $180. Now Kerosene's line here goes for $140. Over there 140 euros . So what gives. A Serge Luten's Bell jar here, $300, over there !80 Euros. I like using DHL Express.
i guess this is because a lot of niche fragrances are handmade in France, since we don't need to pay taxes of importation within the EU it's cheaper for us
Gotta wait for the "next few years" for Nasomatto reviews? Ha! You've gotta review these fragrances while they are hot. The hype train for Nasomatto is long gone now. You probably should have reviewed these back then.
Hey Thanks a lot for assisting Nasomatto in ripping me off!! Duro smells awesome but the performance F’ing blows. Worst performing watered garbage in my whole collection! 190 dollars an ounce! Someone should go to jail!

Thanks for the review, Mac. It's a great scent. I can see that working its way into my collection!
Interesting review, Marc! I've been hearing quite a bit of talk of Duro sharing a lot of similarities to Aoud Musk by Montale.
I remember back when hiro hyped this one up.. Glad to hear your take on it..
Good ol Hiro!
Great detailed review Marc! Duro is actually one of my favs. It actually reminds me of oiled wood rather than dry, and i pick up loads of saffron!
love the intro. its hard watching a video with a 10-30sec+ intro lol hopefully other reviewers follow this trend. great review as usual
can't afford a 30 sec intro with 20 minute reviews lol
Excellent review Marc. Keep up the awesome work. 👍🏼
Great vid as always Marc. I need to grab a bottle. I love Pardon.

Hi Tks for the review. Try Barahonda, ladies do love it!!!! ;)
Basically on me; a cedar tree that's been coated with some good tar oil, a ton of beaver skins, some raw alcohol and a dusting of coriander - chopped down and fell on my face
Man if you would chose between this or diors ambre nuit wich one you would pick?
Good review, this fragrance doesnt get much attention or love, but its not for the faint of heart, i love it.
very good Marc.
I guess this is what "modern" perfume is after the infamous ifra restrictions. but Really I would love to revive an Oakmoss beast. !
Need to smell more from the line, decant if BA just finished and still enjoy Pardon quite a bit.
nice 1 as always mark
Thank You for the Review!!!😎👍
Great work Marc. I only own BA and love it, but seriously thinking of Purchasing Pardon but still wonder if it's worth it as I still have LIDGE . SO hanging out for your Pardon review😬
BA is next from Nasomatto but Pardon isn't too far along
yea,, this one, one of those , 'ones' xD

If this is not for faint of heart, I need to get this although I'm not a big fan of leather patchouli focused frags
careful with this one lol
I love it so much its really has amazing scent but honestly its not special and thing that i really hate about this fragrance is not to change on skin just has one scent in all the time.i love it but its not good for my age its too heavy.

Between Duro and Baraonda which has a better Projection ? and Smells Good ?
Projection is a moot point with this brand, both excellent. Smell wise both excellent in their respective genres. You need to smell em both and your nose will tell you which one you like best.
Well first off one is a boozy gourmet and other is woody, leather , and spicy so it’s like comparing apples and oranges
Thoughts on Pardon?
In this case "duro" means "badass". I really smell tobacco in this fragrance. Dirty, leather and tobacco. A badass cowboy could smell like Duro
what's "perrferrr?"

Martijn M I guess it all evens out with gas prices lol

Haha you save money for clothing has nothing to do with this . Stick to ur samples man a let people buy what they want
Is only me here that reminds me Gucci pour Homme 1 ?
Smells like Oud For Greatness by initio
Yes it really does
"Maybe your growing a beard while wearing this fragrance" haha.
Gotta wait for the "next few years" for Nasomatto reviews? Ha! You've gotta review these fragrances while they are hot. The hype train for Nasomatto is long gone now. You probably should have reviewed these back then.
Y Ad anytime is a good time to review.. it's not about hype it's about the scent..

DURA in rusha means stupid woman :D
