Secret Ingredient for Bubbles in your Flip Cup - Revealed!

- In this video I'll show you how to create an earthscape diptych flip cup painting using blues, greens, and browns. In my opinion, this is one of the easiest, and most fun acrylic pouring methods, but also uses a lot of extra paint. I scraped up all the "wasted" paint from this painting and used it in my next painting, so virtually nothing goes to waste. How fun, and economical :-)
Every single color in this painting is a custom mix. I used a variety of paint brands (liquitex, golden, artist loft, amsterdam, and decoart) to achieve a high level of paint interaction and interest in this painting. I find that I can consistently get cells when I use a variety of brands of paints.

Becca this is absolutely beautiful.
Oh my gosh! This is cool! I’m begging this pour painting process.. I’m sure I will make a mess but I will give it a try❤❤❤
It is very messy but oh so much fun!
Looks really cool.
I really want to try Dutch pour. I'm not an art student or artist, but I love creating. Thank you for expanding my understanding of how acrylic paints can be used, I'm feeling inspired to try!
You can do it!
Becca it’s STUNNING!!
Thanks so much!
Becca, thank you for helping me to learn how to better my pours.
Happy to help!
Becca, very nicely done. The aerial view is so lovely. Beautiful Work !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful!! 😍
Thank you! 😊
A new subscriber, I appreciated the inclusion of gravity in the description of fluid art. People don't always take artists seriously when we don't use a brush.
Saying, "I utilize air flow and gravity to manipulate the paints" is only slightly better, but I take my little victories where I find them.
Agreed! It’s a lot more challenging than it looks!
I made these paintings while I was in A School a few years ago and I asked one of my friends to help record me doing the flip and moving the paint. She told me later that she told her dad about it and he apparently said that it's not real art because I just put pain on the canvas. I'm like "that's what painting is!" 🤣🤣
Becca, I couldn't comment on your short video, so I hope this works! My favorite color is blue, I love all shades! I love your beautiful paintings and have learned a lot from you! Congrats on 10,000 subscribers 🎉😊
Oh thank you!
Very pretty Becca!:)
Jessica, did you know you won the coaster contest? I just need a mailing address to send them to you! Dm or email me!
@@beccaharkinsart Omgosh!! Becca?!?!! Haha! That is AMAZING!!! 🤩 I will email you!! TYSM!!!👏👏 I am teary eyed!🥺❤❤
Verry nice. Do you put silicone to made cellule?
Nope, no silicone.
What ratio of flotrol to artist loft do you use for the bubbles?
I don’t measure but it is about 3:1
How do you finish the sides of your canvas if you are not going to frame it??
I think the way the paint flows over the edges is beautiful, so I leave it as is.
@@beccaharkinsart ok.thanks
do you generally resin after or leave it as it is?
I never use resin. Just not my thing.
No instagrams?
