Don Vito was the best. He literally stopped and made the selfless decision to END the war right after learning of his eldest son and male heir's assassination. He knew that more bloodshed would benefit no one and that even upon finding out Barzini and the others backed the heroin trade, his personal need for revenge was a selfish need. A true gangster know not to live in war all the time. Sometimes to move the way of a gangster look to the family and see what you can fix and uplift to make them stronger. If you can only do 1 or the other and or none of them both then see what you can fix within yourself. A true gangster makes sure his family is “alright” not “better”. Let his real family or gang family better themselves or destroy themselves without getting involved unless you have too. That is why the people in the mob or in the cartel ask in a round about way. “Are you sure you want to join”?
I never understood something about Don Barzzinni not suspecting michael, The guy got the balls to kill his man Sollazzo and a Captain Mcluskey, now sunny his brother was killed so he has even more reasons for revenge, but Barzzini somehow believed michael would just return quietly and put everything to rest??? I don't know.
No one truly viewed Michael as a weakling in the correct defenition. For them, Michael was a 'good boy', who won't get his hands dirty. The Sollozzo thing, they would consider, was an act of self-defence. Also when Barzini's men started to take over Tessio's territory step by step, Michael ordered not to retaliate. A perfect smoke screen was created and even Barzini, the smartest of the snakes, failed to see through it.
They thought Michael was a ‘Good kid’ and wasn’t experienced enough to challenge the other four families. The way they saw it Michael wasn’t bought up in the life. He was bought up protected from the life, a civilian and he killed Mclusky and Solozzo through the orders of Sonny. And as they was chipping away at the territories they was being ran out of NYC. They saw Vito dying as an opportunity to take advantaged if an un proven young Don and take the scraps of the Corleone family empire once Michael was lured to his death. Obviously we know what happened after. I don’t even think Bartzini expected how cunning Michael really was through Vito’s planning.
Barzini was still playing by the rules he knew, that Michael was a civilian and neutral effectively. The corleones would want to protect him, and if he's neutral he's jot fair game. Barzini didn't expect them to flip the script and play by different rules as it puts Michael in danger. You can still see he's wary by how he has Michael frisked, but he still trusts his judgment of the situation and probably is a bit overconfident, the same quality causing him to reveal more of his hand than he should at the meeting with the other families.

I viewed pitching baseball somewhat like this. You don't reveal your pitching strategy to your opponents. If you pitch to opponents in pre-season games, don't reveal what you've got. Don't show your best pitches until the last inning or two, or even until the championship game. Make sure you've got the umpire figured out so he doesn't ruin you. Walk your strongest opponent, but make it look like just bad luck! Don't show opponents your pick-off move, send them fake ones at first! And so on! Hell, even fool your own coaches so they don't try to force their idea of a strategy on you.
Someone needs to tell that to Harry and Megan... Unlike their grandmother, the former Queen of England, they're likely too dumb and narcissistic to see the wisdom.

If the assassination attempt against Vito had succeeded, the Corleone family empire may have been finished. Having lost his oldest son, and intended heir of his throne, Vito needed time to get his son Michael back home safe. And he would have to have time to prepared Michael for leadership.

It was Vito's plan. He had ever intention on getting revenge after the meeting he knew Barzini was involved but he wasn't sure who helped him. He knew they couldn't of fought or killed Sonny that easily and warned Michael of a possible traitor
The godfather perfectly demonstrates something that’s very important in gangster movies: Criminal Empires are built on a foundation of sand, and it’s constantly in danger of collapsing. The reason characters like Vito Corleone are so smart and such good manipulators is because they are constantly working, learning, and patching, hoping their empire of sand holds together for one more day. As well as the fact that very few gangsters die in their own beds, they either die in a jail cot or in a pool of their blood. Tony Montana in Scarface is another very good example of this.
He basically said his plan at the meeting, but with such ego no one saw it. He promised he was done with the war, but he wanted his son next to him and if anything happened to him I have a plan in place to take you out if I need to. He knew he would never get his full power back but he also knew when something did happen to him there would be a vacuum.

People Need to rewatch The godfather because Vito Lost and the movie never show his war victories in the first one. It was about Michael. Pay attention Vito started a war by sending Luca Brasi after saying no to the deal. (by doing so he is saying you are not my friend. In their world.) Sending Luca Brasi was an act of war which they know. Which is way he got hit up for saying "no, you're not my friend" and treating the man like a foe. If he would have said no and left it at that Maybe they would have just tried to continue to convince him instead he sent his most loyal hitman that started it all. First luca,Vito, and Sonny after losing the war.(He Copped ✌)He called a truce for Michael. Putting Michael in charge, Leaving him a target by his enemies, closest friends, and shame of losing a war. Which lead to moe green disrespecting him. Which is why Michael had to kill everyone. The acts of his father almost lead to the destruction of the whole family.
Vito is pretending to be weak and offer peace, to find out who is really in plot against him. Who will oppose him and who not. It was very smart move. He got information he needed and it cost him just bit of dignity.
Vito knew it was "Barzini all along" cause the dude said so. There was nothing to figure out. He was the antogonist of that meeting with all the Dons, saying that Vito must let them draw the water... He never spoke like he was talking on behalf of tataglia. He spoke like it was his problem, so Vito could do little else than take him at his word that he had an interest in the Turks plan. Sheesh.
He needed Michael too take over the reigns because he didn't trust anyone but one of his sons. When Sonny is killed he is only left with " stupid and weak" Fredo. He never wanted Michael in the business. He always wanted Michael to be a Senator or a Governor

Exactly. Each one has a specific use case depending on the situation.
These are good rules to follow especially in the workplace. Wish I knew these rules years ago, then I would be head of a multi million telecommunication company.
Debbie if you are who I think you are, HI. I followed this rule faithfully, and it still didn't save me. Herb
Hi Herb, I don't know you, if I do, where or when would 🤔 I have met you?
@@debbieking5171 Hi Debbie, the Debbie King I know is from Virginia and was Chief Human Resources Officer of AAA Mid-Atlantic, one of the components of the American Automobile Association.
Hello Herb, I live in Pittsburgh and I did work for a multi million dollar company.
@@debbieking5171 hi Debbie, ok, my Debbie comes from the South, and worked in Delaware. So you and I definitely do not know one another (yet)
Man listening to this confirms what I always think about myself and that's I talk too much
Vito used the significant phrase "As long as I am responsible for the actions of my family, I wil notl break the piece we have made here today"
Yup, im surprised Barzini didnt pick this up.....or maybe he did and thats why Michael almost got killed in that hit that took Appolonias life.
That Law mix was sooo good 😎...Culture Mafia Gang Gang...Like the kids say🤣🤣🤣 🤗✌
Nice video but what about the oranges?
Some things should never be taught to the General Public.
Excellent presentation. Machiavellianism all the way!
The Godfather: Vincent Mancini Corleone.
The Consigliere: Connie Corleone
The heir apparent: Michael Santino Corleone.
Godfather IV
Andy Garcia and Talia Shire return.
Leonardo DiCaprio as Michael Santino Corleone.
The enemy: Don Enzio Barzini, the son of Don Barzini.
The actor: Sylvester Stallone.
Any takers?
'Michael Corleone' was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, an American Fightin' Man and War Machine!
the Don unleashed the Weapon X.
All power belongs to God
Currently reading The 48 Laws of Power, so I love these videos. Amazing.
Another excellent video...❤️❤️
Excellent.
Error alert: Sonny was shot in 1951 NOT 1948. The (in)famous shot heard round the world in the Dodgers-Giants playoff game was on the radio.

If the assassination attempt against Vito had succeeded, the Corleone family empire may have been finished. Having lost his oldest son, and intended heir of his throne, Vito needed time to get his son Michael back home safe. And he would have to have time to prepared Michael for leadership.
TOO WORDY FROM THE NARRATIVE in audio .... clips need the soundtrack to capture the feel and sense of character's play.
Robert Deniro, now that he's reached that age looks nothing like Marlon Brando.
Hi Guys me again. Deleted scene Vito asks Mike what did his military ribbons mean; Mike says bravery; Vito says something like you kill for others implying you kill for others not for me. This scene where they visit the dying Genco in hospital. In essence telling Mike he needed to be with family. What u think?
If you listen carefully, people tell you far more than they intended to. It's what they're revealing in-between what they're saying, that really matters.
Emotions are a helluva drug, and most people are addicted to their feelings.

Good stuff.
Great Breakdown and the use and parallels to the 48 laws of Power is A Masterstroke
Thank You
Excellent Voice over just like the first one who start the channel not the same but he got the energy and the passion looking forward for the upcoming Video 👍
Vito's Character = 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ General 💥
Wow, this is great analysis. Very enjoyable video.
So Joe Biden is a master at this? 😂
Let’s hope to GOD he’s just hiding his real strategy, and not actually a complete incompetent idiot 😝
Agreed. Concealing your intentions is so against human nature. That would take me some time to master. Im not a hothead like Sonny, but im definitely the type who would win over people with my honestly in a position of power. This video made me realize what a mistake that would be in positions of power.

Control your tongue, how easy to say how hard to do.
So in this theory, Vito was more vicious than Michael.
It was Vito's plan. He had ever intention on getting revenge after the meeting he knew Barzini was involved but he wasn't sure who helped him. He knew they couldn't of fought or killed Sonny that easily and warned Michael of a possible traitor

"Tattaglia's a Pimp" 💀
Very good videos.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!
Another awesome video
Great break down
He basically said his plan at the meeting, but with such ego no one saw it. He promised he was done with the war, but he wanted his son next to him and if anything happened to him I have a plan in place to take you out if I need to. He knew he would never get his full power back but he also knew when something did happen to him there would be a vacuum.

Thank You.
It was in the script. That’s how he did it.
I guess we all love to think that our daily lives require this much subterfuge.
The best breakdown of The Best Movie Ever Made !
Thank You 💯
Make a video on rocco, I want to know if he is the second insider
DROP THE GUN AND TAKE THE CONNOLI ahahahaha
People Need to rewatch The godfather because Vito Lost and the movie never show his war victories in the first one. It was about Michael. Pay attention Vito started a war by sending Luca Brasi after saying no to the deal. (by doing so he is saying you are not my friend. In their world.) Sending Luca Brasi was an act of war which they know. Which is way he got hit up for saying "no, you're not my friend" and treating the man like a foe. If he would have said no and left it at that
Maybe they would have just tried to continue to convince him instead he sent his most loyal hitman that started it all.
Easily your best content on this chanel, wish you'd break down other lawsvof power
Make peace and swore not to break in... this is Genius mind....as to recover own empayar.
I’ve had a person like this come close to ruining my life
Mr blabbermouth refusion isn't a ack of a friend.
👍🏾👌🏾
A disorganized, rambling, yet repetitive mess of a video.
Reversal of the law: b4 Vito said the famous quote to santino he broke it when he said to the turk his weakness 😂
Fredo was weak and Sonny too hot headed to recognise danger. Michael the only cold logical thinker.
Who was more powerful and cunning Michael or don Vito
wooow... spetacular analysis.
What is the background song's name?🙏
Please please make more video on godfather. please you are the real GIGA CHAD to modern society.
😂
Sure
The Turk knew he was screwed when his assassination attempt failed.
When Pacino and Deniro pass, the public will demand national funerals.
Excellent advice.
48 rules of power?
Don’t be “a Fredo” get it afraid though
Vito Corleone, first of his name....
Thanks!
Thank You @Tyrone Mccloud 🤝
