Thank you! I am getting into special effects makeup but I am a beginner and was looking into using a more affordable option since I don’t want to spend $99 on 12 colors. I like that there are more colors in the Athena palette and that I don’t have to worry about mixing colors.
I think this is a great palette to start out with. They also just came out with another painting palette called Laterite that has a lot more neutral colors that might be worth looking into as well.
Good luck on your special effects journey!
This review helps me so much! Thank you 😊
Wow awesome! Thank you for this video! I love doing cosplay and going hard for Halloween and wanted to do my first body paint cosplay (Persephone from Lore Olympus)
Just bought the Athena palette! I’m so glad to have seen the comparison! Thank you
Thanks to You I finally found what I was looking for!
Thank you for this video!
OMG your video w your daughter is the cutest!! Shes hilarious. I was laughing the whole time but it was also funny that you're so used to her shenanigans that you were straight faced for the majority of it. Lol!! Our daughter's names are close! My daughters name is Everly. At first I thought that's what you said but Emberly (sp?) is soooo cute!!!! Happy Mother's Day!!
Thank you! - I think as mothers we grow so used to our children we forget how comedic they can be lol.
I hope you and Everly shared a wonderful Mother's Day together ❤
i ordered athena last week. before it arrive today, got to see your video. and yess it's worth to buy!! 😆
So how long was shipping for you? I’m hoping it arrives before the 30th I have a costume party to go to.
I can't remember for sure how long the shipping was but I don't think it took a long time.
May I know any alternative to divided cake boxes, because they are not found in Egypt and are not available?
Ucanbe looks more vibrant right from the start wow 😯
12:51 you named my favorite color 🤣🥰
Thank You ❤
Hola! Cuál es la paleta mejor paleta en gel que se fije bien y dure muchísimo. Espero su recomendación besos de Ecuador 🇪🇨
I love this! Have you tried the CCbeauty face paiting palette? I've seen that around too, would you compare the three of them in a video?¨Or de ucanbe vs the ccbeauty to see wich one is a best buy?
I've never heard of the cc beauty face painting palette - I'll have to look into it. Thanks!
Cc beauty made me breakout i wouldn't recommend but that's just my opinion
Lovely
Wish you had an affiliate code. I just bought the Athena palette I would’ve liked to have helped you out in the process 💕
Maybe one day lol but for now I just appreciate your comment so much 😊❤
I bought the UCANBE Athena makeup palette AND I found it very oily and to rub off easily. How can I make it stay on longer and not rub off. I did a pumpkin face look and the black kept sipping into my eyes and blurring my vision
I found if you set the looks with a powder the painted stay rather well. I like using the rcma no color powder
Nice I love the Athena one thx for telling me but I have one question can it wash off with water and is it okay for party like birthdays?
It washes off fine with soap and water in my experience.
I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use it for birthday parties but I'd probably stick to a water activated facepaint b/c it's a bit easier to work with for crowds. This is more meant for detailed work
@@kirbyrosebeauty in my country I can’t find any face paint that wash off with water and I just ordered my Athena palette so I was just curious thx
Can you use it with some liquid like water or oil to make more and smoother
none of the can be used with water or oil bc they´re cream paints (those are meant to be use with just a brush). Also something that she didn't mention is that the Ucanbe palette is a little bit more oily that the Makeup for ever one so it would be really greasy on her face if she mixes it with oil.
Hi, I'm wondering if it's hard to take off? Did you got some skin reaction to the product?
It came off easy with my regular makeup wipes and face wash. The red had a bit of "staining" but it did not last long. I had no reaction to the paints either.
Was the white stuff baby power? Also does baby powder help with sweating (if that's what that was)
Nvm- i always comment before watching the rest of the vid 😭😭 but im still curious about sweat
I can't talk much to sweat b/c I never wear my painted looks long enough for me to sweat in them. Theoretically if you set them well enough sweat shouldn't be an issue.
@@kirbyrosebeauty okay cool thank you :)
This is so crazyy! I have the CCbeauty Store Pallet from amazon, And i got it for 16$ and its the exact same thing!
They have the other one too for 22 bucks.
100 bucks is wild!
(I was watching on my tablet, not even logged in, and I got up and logged in because I was that shocked! )
i have the athena face paint palette and i personally would not recommend. They claimed that their paints dry quickly and are smudge proof, yet after 6 hours the paints were no where near dry and still smudging. i’m currently looking for a new face paint, one that will actually dry, any recommendations?
I don't know of any cream paint palettes that dry completely without setting with powder. I like using the RCMA no color powder or a matching eyeshadow to set the Athena palette. I've also really liked the wet n wild paint palettes but they also need set with powder as well.
The only body paints I've known to "dry" down are water activated face paints but they tend to crack and don't always have longevity and don't always play well with other products.
@@kirbyrosebeauty thank you my girll, i’ll keep looking🤍
Hi, is it okay to color them/cover their eyebrows?
You can use it on your eyebrows - if you have dark eyebrows the color may not be as vibrant
I used Athena and it wasn’t water proof and it was too easy to smudge. I had it on for 2 hours and it was still easy to smudge and wash off with water
Did you set it? I have a lot of smudging problems unless I set it with a powder then I feel like it stays in place til I wash it off.
Did you set it?
DId you know that Ucanbe has 3 pallets? Athena, Laterite 01 & Laterite 02! They are awesome dupes!
I didn't know about the 2nd Laterite palette! I'll have to look into that - thanks for sharing!
Hi. Just bought the Athena palette. Are you still using it? Is it valid? Did it stain or caused you any sensitivity?
Yes I do still use it - recently posted a captain Planet look that I used it for and I'm about to post a princess bubblegum look I used it for.
I still really like it. Easy to apply doesn't move too much when set well/heavily with powder. And it comes off easily. The only color I've had an issue with staining is the red one but that is typical of any red in any situation.
I haven't had any issues with my skin breaking out or anything but I also don't usually have sensitive skin. I also don't have any allergies to worry about. I've used it a few times in my daughter's cheek with no issues.
@@kirbyrosebeauty thank you very much! 🥰
Thank you
Are the Athena paints water activated or do you use them with a dry brush?
Use them with a dry brush - they are cream paints and do not require anything to be mixed with them.
However they do apply a bit smoother if you "warm" them up on a separate palette or like swirl around your brush in the color first.
@@kirbyrosebeauty thanks so much!
So I have a 🙋♀️ if you were to touch your face by mistake does it come off? I’m new to this and I’ve bought a similar product on Amazon but it comes off fast 😩
If you set it with powder (I prefer the rcma no color powder but there are lots out there) and your face is LIGHTLY touched there *shouldn't* be an issue with movement.
However, makeup is affected by many things (sweat, face oil, humidity, etc.) So there is no foolproof way of having it not smear other than not touching your face.
@@kirbyrosebeauty thank you for the response really appreciate it!
It’s going for like $12 on Amazon at the moment
That's a good deal!
Can I do a color eyeliner with this palette Athena?
You could but it definitely needs to be set with powder so that it doesn't move around or wipe away
Can I use just eyeshadow as body paint?
You definitely can use eyeshadow to create looks however it isn't always as pigmented and can be a bit tricky to get fine details using just eyeshadow. Which is why some people prefer to use a cream paint vs a powder shadow.
To make sure you're getting the most out of your eyeshadow apply it to a unset cream or liquid base and then outline with an eyeliner.
can the atena palatte be made waterproof
There are makeup products on the market that can make your makeup be "waterproof"
I found using a good setting powder and heavily setting it made it quite resistant to any type of movement and sweating - however I wasn't submerging my face into water.
There is a setting spray by One Size (sold at Sephora) called On Til Dawn mattifying waterproof setting spray that is quite good for "waterproofing" makeup - you might give that a try.
How do you get it off your brush in between colours? I bought it and am struggling with that
So I use multiple brushes - and when I want to use the same brush for different colors I will use a dry washcloth or paper towel to wipe off the brush but I'll keep it in the same color family so there isn't too much mixing.
The cream paints are a bit hard to "wash off" the brush immediately without soap
@@kirbyrosebeauty thank you!
I recently just got one and it came in today when I opened it. It looked like I was sweaty. Is that normal? Should I still use it?
A few of the colors in my palette had that 'sweaty' look to them - I figured it was water or oil. A bit of separation I assumed. I saw nothing else wrong with the product - so I went ahead and used it.
I believe it would be a use at your own risk or contact the company to see or ensure that is normal.
@@kirbyrosebeauty That does make sense. I put some on my hand for a couple hours and everything was good. Thank you for replying. I loved your video ❤️
Nothing to worry about. Art oil paints happens the same. It’s the water from the formula separating from the oil. Totally safe.
Mine was sweaty too when I got it. I’d say it’s normal…
Can we use water to make it a little more liquid constancy?
The texture of them is very creamy b/c they do not need to be mixed with anything to use them - I'm sure you could mix a little bit of water or maybe like a makeup mixing liquid with them, but it might cause the color to not be as vibrant. And may affect the integrity of the cream product.
Never. Only makeup diluting solution
@@Tabata-vf6jb too late already bought one :))
I'm thinking of buying the athena palette
It's a good buy. They Akzo just came out with a neutral body paint palette called Laterite
How to remove this colors on face
Plzz tell me
Soap and water works very well.
I use cerave cream to foaming facewash
Can you just use this as eyeliner? Like those water activated liners? Yk what I’m talking ab?
You can use this as eyeliner, but it's a cream formula that does not require any water to activate.
It's not going to dry down or apply the same as a water activated eyeliner. It also will need to be set with a powder.
Since it is a cream formula you may also not get as fine a detail as you could get with a water activated eyeliner
Love the vid btw but girly-
I cant get over her screaming the whole video! 😂 💀
I know 🫤....I'm working on it 😮💨....it's been brought to my attention numerous times.
@@kirbyrosebeauty It’s fine I like it lol I can actually hear you- unlike some other ytbers
I wish you would of rubbed it on both sides. Only so we can see the hold up. Anywho thanks for this video!😇
I paid 12$ for my Athena pallet
I bought that same palette for £12.99p i mean $99 for facepaint omg that’s a ripoff
Is it oil paint or water paint..
Every oil paint comes with water. But it’s not a water paint. Since water paint need to be activated with water
i got it for 12$
The Athena palette is simply better.
