    I have a Graco X5. The same pump as this Vevor. I cannot believe how long it has lasted me. I kid you not I've done atleast 20 full exteriors. Stained an insane amount of fences for a bunch of duplexes back to back. Painted several boat docks, I've even sprayed several sets of cabinets, the entire exterior and interior of my personal house. It is still working like a charm. I truly can't believe it. I also run 75 ft of hose on it which the guy at Sherwin who sold it to me said was too much hose lol.

    Good video. I just bought one of these. Your video makes sense on how to use this sprayer. The instruction booklet leaves a lot of unanswered questions. Thanks for the comprehensive video and tip on how to use an airless sprayer.

    Great video! i also always attach a strainer bag to my pick up line too. Nothing worse when your gun clogs when spraying

    I own this vevor sprayer, pretty good for my first sprayer I thought but these upgrades should make it even better. Thanks for the video. I have seen what happens to a hand that's been sprayed by one of these , happened to a co worker long time ago and it's not pretty at all. Whole hand swole up like a melon and had to have skin grafts to fix some of it and lost the tips of a few fingers so I know the dangers. Keep up the great tips.

    Great video thanks for all the helpful tips and info. I like how in-depth you went to clarify things. I just purchased a vevor airless sprayer so this was the perfect video for me. I’m a total noob to this. I’ve used air sprayers before but this is totally new to me. I purchased this to spray truck rims and farm equipment. I’m sure there will be a learning curve. My goal it to spray grain bins and shed eventually

      yea great for farm equipment. Be sure to clean out all the lines really good with Mineral sprits. 2 or 3 times until all the paint is clean. then after running thinner through Mineral sprits. you can run water again for your water based painting. It is best to use a oil rig for oil and water rig for water. you will have some issues going back and forth but it can be done.

    Thanks for your review of the machine and the tips for using it. I was wondering if you had a chance to look at the VEVOR 950w. Would the extra power matter for DIY projects?

    out of interest, does the pump saver fluid just sit in the lines until the next time you use it? Or is it designed to flush through completely and act as a coating only?

    • @mikethepainter
      @mikethepainter  21 день тому

      I only use it in the pump section. Lines should be fine. some guys pump it through the gun too but I dont.

    Does it spray 2K solvent base paint too?

    • @mikethepainter
      @mikethepainter  2 місяці тому

      not very well but you could spray oil base. ( rust oleum ) but you better clean it several times out with thinner. (until it is clean)

      Let me know if those links I put in the video work in Europe. I have no way of knowing.

      In Canada a guy was saying he could not get them either and finally was able to get them there. They are the old way and are probably available somewhere.

      I tried the links but they don't work. Unfortunately. In the booth i spray with hvlp and air assisted with the g40 gun flat tips also. So your setup would have been nice for jobs on location. But I'll have to stick with airless or my hvlp turbine. Somehow i just like the airless setup more for location work.

    Revising my previous comment, which was supportive.
    The suction tube on mine had 2 permanent kinks, one so bad that the tube closed on itself and wouldn't draw paint. I adapted another tube to make it work.
    However, an alert to everyone... Vevor does NOT supply parts for this. Nada. Zilch. Odd, because they make a schematic with part numbers. I wrote and received a response that Vevor sells complete units only. And no telephone number to call.
    I'm not regretting my purchase. This is for multiple stainings after hail and wind damage to our home. Cheaper than contractors who want $3K+ just for the stain. I'll save a lot of money and I have no intention of doing anything more (retirement looking me in the face).
    Thought I would share that you get 3 months MBG, and 12 months warranty. Lost and damaged parts NOT included. After that, this unit is trash.
    I'm not sorry I bought this. It's perfect for me. just be aware of the limited life....

      I believe packing set for this rig is the same as Graco magnum x series. Returnable on amazon. No other rig in this price has a worthy warranty either. and when the brushes go out you will need to find universal ones. Packings are the only thing that goes out plus the terrible pickup hose. Check HF website for a cheap pickup hose. Online order only not available in stores.

      for 150 it is absolutely amazing. capable of painting whole houses. for a while. I bet a small contractor could use one of these for a few months to save for a bigger one.

    Dude, 1st California sucks ass! 2nd, you can use marvel oil to preserve your pump for long storage and much cheaper. Lastly, I know you tried, but your video is to long and confusing to the diy people. That’s who the Vevor unit is intended for. It’s not a commercial unit like you’re going on about comparing to the Graco.

    • @mikethepainter
      @mikethepainter  2 місяці тому

      yea thinner and oil mixed is about the same. and cheaper than marvel. I use Paint thinner mixed with oil or marvel. Any kind of oil.
