Roy Cooper is a logical choice. It’ll put North Carolina into play. Second is Senator Kelly from Arizona. He might can secure Arizona electorically.

It doesn't make any sense to try a Primary! The Convention is the obvious place to choose. There are delegates from every state. They are chosen by the party by a long standing process.

Her running mate has to be a str8, white, male from a swing state to have any chance of winning. That pretty much narrows it down to Josh Shapiro from Pennsylvania or Mark Kelly from Arizona. However Shapiro is Jewish so that rules him out. Leaving Mark Kelly as the only option.

He got old. And his mental faculties diminished. It happens. If you ever have the privilege of reaching your 80s you'll find out. My grandpa was sharp as a tack all the way into his 80s and then what felt like overnight he went into full dementia.
@jayczzzya Sure, it happens to people at this age, but this didn't happen overnight for Biden. We have been watching him suffer from cognitive decline in real time for just over 4 years now. 4 years ago it was subtle but it was there but it was undeniable for the past 2.

I think I should correct what you wrote if you don't mind. Kamala is a 59 year old woman who was California Attorney General and Vice President. Her mom passed away and was a breast cancer researcher. Her name was Shyamala Gopalan and was born in southern India. She studied at Berkeley University. Her father, Donald Harris, was born in Jamaica, attended Berkely where he met Shyamala and was an economist. Kamala's parents grew up during WWII and experienced the rise of McCarthyism, the Cold War, Korean and Vietnam wars, and all that occurred during the 60 and 70's as Kamala grew to an adult. The significance of this is, for me, the appropriateness of her perspective development from the old ways Biden and Trump derive their plans for the country from, and instead, hers would be the more progressive, anti-old school ways of building policy for the country. You state one line which defines the ticket as Girl and Gay Boy. The Kamala ticket will not be defined by such a simple, diminishing, derogatory statement. Kamala is a powerful, effective, accomplished, African American Asian Woman Presidential Candidate. If Pete Buttigieg does become her running mate, he would be defined as a very logical, incredibly effective, accomplished, former naval officer, graduate of Harvard College and the University of Oxford, on a Rhodes Scholarship, and Secretary of Transportation who is married to a man.

Personally, I'd love to see Harris/ Buttigieg on the ticket. It's hard to say whether the Dems are ready to be that liberal though.
