Hi James, I understand how frustrating it can be to progress slowly but stick at it and you'll get there. I spent about five years unable to understand most spoken French then suddenly (after spending a few weeks listening intensely to intermediate podcasts) I started to understand about 75-85%. It's awesome and so worth it :)
J'ai prise les bases de la langue française dans l'université parce que c’était la deuxième langue étrangère que j’ai choisie. Tes vidéos sont toujours enrichissantes…ne met pas trop de pression sur toi-même. I especially appreciate that you don’t over-edit your videos to be «perfect ». 😃My wife and I just found your videos. We watched your review of Emily in Paris with your sister and we like it very much. We took a trip to Paris in 2021 and absolutely loved being there. We were inspired to learn french with the hopes of returning some day. We are doing the Duolingo french courses to develop some vocabulary, but know we need fluent french conversations to truly learn to speak french. Tes vidéos sont vraiment enrichissants et surtout une grande aide pour améliorer mes connaissances du français. Je pense que les classes a l’école ne suffisent pas pour apprendre une langue. On doit chercher d’autres chemins pour développer un sens pour la langue. Par exemple via des podcasts ou tes vidéos.💫💫

Merci Elsa d'avoir recommandé La Vérité sur l'Affaire Harry Quebert. Je l'ai acheté d’Amazon, et je l’ai fini en un mois exactement. Quand je l'ai reçu et j'ai vu qu'il avait plus de 800 pages, je ne pensais pas pouvoir le terminer. Mais c'était assez facile à lire et l'histoire était intrigante ! J'avais hâte de le lire tous les soirs. Merci beaucoup 💗.
J'aime cette tipo de video, avec le francais oral plus common, ma avec une audio tres clare. Lorsque tu parle plus rapidment je peux comprend facile, aussi les mots son common, ne se pas tres rare. Merci!

I can understand everything you say in french without any translation (yay!) but it makes me wonder if you simplify what you’re saying or are you speaking slower than you’d do usual?

Es mi lengua materna, y te puedo escribir completo, no cómo chateamos normalmente, porque omitimos montón de letras, abreviamos palabras o usamos símbolos xD, y es chistoso, casi como cuando usan abreviaciones en francés en fb en el grupo de la residencia donde vivo, y yo soy cómo que: "Wth is that?" 🤣, y para ser sincero, el traductor de FB es pésimo, por no decir malo, porque traduce cosas raras, a veces bon jour lo traduce como "Un gran viaje aventurero" o cosas bien extrañas, 🤣.... So, if you need some help let me know 🤗😄😊 as you help us with French with your videos 💚🤗❤... Although, French is more difficult than Spanish according to me, so for you might be easier 😅😉... 😊

Surpris que vous n'avez pas mentionné Guillaume Musso ou Maxim Chattam parmi les écrivants recommandés pour les lecteurs apprenant le français. Tous les deux sont parmi les plus lus en France, et j'ai passé des heures innombrables perdus dans leurs histoires. Je ne suis pas qualifié à dire si ou non que la lecture de leurs livres soit facile du point de vue pédagogique, mais c'est certain qu'une fois qu'elle soit entamée, c'est difficile de l'arrêter.
Je connais un local qui vous pouvez y améliorer ton français. Il n'est pas Cher

Steven Kaufman le polyglot américan a raison. Pour acquérir la langue parlée, vous devez parler beaucoup, ne vous inquitez pas les erreurs. Mémoriser les régles des grammaire et frustrant. ca ne marche pas. Doron est chanceux, il est tremper dans le francais 24/7...
