I found your channel just days ago, and the short-term changes are astonishing. I suffer from avoidant attachment, and I was pretty much lost in my Data Analyst career.
I would say that I watched most of your youtube videos, but mental models and framework thinking was a game changer. I heard you describe yourself as an ENTJ, I am myself an INTJ, and this is just what I needed after a long research in philosophy and psychology. I finally got back to my journey again after another long cycle of despair and confusion in my personal life. I feel stronger this time, but I hope the good mood doesn't go fast, at least until I can land my first job. Thank you and I wish you the best in your journey! Keep up the good work
PD: Your coaching panel for chat GPT worked amazingly well and it provided a lot of value. Thanks!

So glad you found this channel and got inspiration from it! Me too! Just want to offer one more thought, I think Vicky is an INTP. She is more about ideas and how to convince ppl to adapt to ideas other than focusing on commanding/managing resources (not saying she is not doing that, but she probably mostly doing so to get the idea going, which is precious). Feel free to provide more of what you think 😊

I love working collaboratively but i have experienced that people like to take credit for my work or use it to their advantage. Also, as much as i appreciate this new way of working, it does not work in many fields that require research prior to developing an initiative.

Thanks, Vicky. When checking for desirability, it's essential to simultaneously check for willingness to pay. While this falls into viability, the desirability test is a great place to collect this data. So many people expect a whole raft of things to be free.

I like the simplicity with which you explain the rules, I have already participated in projects and I can certify the results of design thinking although following the rules requires more from all participants, but it works.

@@VickyZhaoBEEAMP yess do that! I am an architecture student in my final year an my mentor was advising me on the importance of these design thinking frameworks for acquiring right data based on which we can design for better user experience since we recently had a studio on urban design. That's what got me into it!

Hey I’m new to your channel, but just wanted to say that I saw your community comment about buying a new mic. Didn’t think much of it until I watched this video and then watched one from 3 weeks ago, and wow the difference is huge! You sound so much clearer now, makes an incredible difference - audio is so important eh! Anyway, really look forward to learning from your videos, sorry if this is a random comment but I was legit impressed with the sound quality difference. Ps your design and thumbnails are so good 🔥

I am also learning to do my design thinking project for school in The Netherlands and can definitely relate to your first insight. In the first year of doing this research, I was planning. I wanted to make sure I did enough desk research or used enough literature, before approaching someone for an interview. But last months I just skipped all this preparation and just called someone for an interview, and than I would be preparing something. My research was way more efficient because of this approach.

Great video, Vicky! I have to I think planning is still important, but it's overemphasized. We can avoid a lot of mistakes through planning, but we can't avoid them all- which is why action is more important. Nonetheless, great to see your takeaways!

Hey Vicky, such great, niche content. A request to make a video that covers the best route to take in a finance career after an MBA. And, whether there is a better alternative to MBA for a career in finance. Also maybe share your opinion on a better career choice than finance for a person with analytical and leadership capabilities.

Hmmm but isnt number one "dont plan, act", contradicts a bit the number 2 "order matters", I mean if you follow an order in a way you are following a plan isn it?

  • @earlj.d.6285

Great video but I have a question. Wouldn’t thinking and planning or not necessarily be the same thing?
Maybe the saying should be “think before you act but act before you plan”
We would need experience and mistakes to make a thorough plan
