Have you seen others use this 3 step persuasion method?

I think a lot of books use this in the first chapter. They start with a story of the author being naive about sth and then surprise you with the main idea 💡

@@creativecat7278 That's true! Book structures are a pretty good starting place. But somehow most lose us in the middle haha Thanks for watching!!

Hm... 🤔 maybe we should add to that discussion the fact that plastics not really decompose but become micro or nano plastics that contaminate the whole sea food chain since the fitoplancton so we probably can die from the contaminated food before even suffer really bad effects from greenhouse gas effect? Nice technique! Btw, love your in depth but (almost) short videos. 😉

Hi. I have only found your channel a day ago but so much of your content has been helpful. I still haven't quite got to grips with the zettelkasten approach and the obsidian app but I will persist.
This vlog here, however, about persuading people makes a lot of sense. I really appreciated the house analogy because it made me also realise that there could be some collateral damage by persuading people to question their core beliefs too quickly. I don't want their house to cave in, or mine for that matter.
    Anyway, thank you

Another great video, Vicky! Some of this material reminded me of a book by Eyal Winter, "Feeling Smart," which covers the way emotion affects our reasoning. It tracks with a lot of what you shared here, even though the book isn't specifically focused on persuasion. It's a fascinating read if you're looking for more sources on this subject.

This was great, thank you for sharing! As a vegan I feel obligated to speak for the voiceless animals, but advocating for veganism is a skill to be developed as the backfire effect is particularly strong - only ethical vegans are more despised by the public than drug addicts.
